The decision to keep someone's love/heart is outta my hands and the choice as to whether I'm hurt or not is no longer under my full control. That being said, I think people tend to feel this way, causing a strong "fear of a broken heart", and in turn, creates distance and ultimately dismisses the notion that love is forever and connections will last. "You can't miss what u never had" meaning if I hadn't allowed love to enter my heart in the first place, then I would not now know the pain of what it feels like when that love is taken away from me... I take as “it’s easier to give affection and love to others than it is to accept the same from others” because you know your own feelings and emotions. It’s harder to trust others intentions. Therefore it’s harder to accept others love as genuine. It’s hard to trust what is outside of yourself
