In this video we will be looking at some Mini Madagascar Hissing Cockroaches (Elliptorhina chopardi) that I picked up from someone earlier today. The common Madagascar Hissing Cockroaches (Gromphadorhina portentosa) that we often see in the pet trade are a larger variant. These ones aren't as common, and is the 2nd or 3rd time I've come across them for sale. Before this, someone was selling them at a rather high price, so I decided to pass. Months later I came across some being sold at a bargain, so I thought why not add these little critters to the lair! Hope you guys enjoy(ed) watching this video!

Both these and Dubia Roaches are nothing compared to the American and German roaches (ya know the ones that live in trash) I had the same ideology as you till I picked up my first roaches to feed to my Tarantulas, they really should belong to a different stigma, compared to the American and German roaches, these guys clean and groom themselves constantly, these guys are cleaner then my hamster.

The myth that thy carry disease comes from their chosen dark and damp environments often having them walk through garbage and contaminated substances, they clean themselves and their environments quite regularly!
