I think the GTD is amazing, but completely unobtainable for the vast majority of Mustang fans. Its kinda bitter sweet.
Remember the LFA. Now it’s worth over quadruple its original cost. Hopefully ford makes money on these cars. I don’t think there’s any wrecked LFA out there but we know what mustang week is like leaving car shows.
It looks like b is for build builded it
ya its for millionairs and influencers like this guy..you will never see one of these on the roads...its a pipe dream for most americans.

You wanted a cheap gt3 racecar?
As a gt500 owner, this new GTD looks incredible. It's basically everything they learned from the gt350 and gt500 and Ford gt implmented into one Mustang.
$100 -150K I am a buyer not $300k
@@ejakabatcheej4974 Okay so the cars not for you. Thanks for the broadcast.
@@Sol-hd7pzkinda seems like the car is not for 99% of Americans.

@@PatrickGotHandslol, you watched the video to talk crap about a car youve never liked in the first place?
You are exactly the type of owner I would think Ford would want to have this amazing vehicle. You track your cars,AND post it all on your channel for a large audience of enthusiasts. Even though very few can afford one or get an allocation it will help sell other Mustangs.
Sponsorship is needed, if they put magnesium wheels on then why did they need the cup 2rs tires. If available them tires cost twice as much as the ones on the corvette.
@@alexpocs8649magnesium rims are for weight savings. The tires are expensive because the car is expensive.
@@duckdestroyer2412 Optimum perfo rmance of a tire is more than just price.
@PeterSmith-oe4tn ... you just described an influencer ... while wearing a 😠 . Just my $0.02 Don't hate on other people's hustles man its not a good look .
Fords is still my favorite company. RIP Henry Ford
There’s nothing better than the sound of racing engines
Nothing?? Really? I think mmmm maybe sex?? Any Pink Floyd song. Hazelnut cake while getting topped up.... Plenty things
The rear sub-frame costs as much as a loaded EcoBoost Mustang...yet so many comments are "$300,000.00 Mustang is stupid". Can't wait to see lap times.
I wouldn't worry as I'll bet those viewers wouldn't even know what a sub-frame is!! LOL
It's still a lot of money for a mustang. But the good news is that this is barely a mustang.
The GTD looks light years better than any other mustang ever and the parts under the body actually look better than the body. That suspension is pure art.
Austin you rock! Can't wait to see and hear it run. Thanks again. Peace
the looks of this car is next level but so is the technology...outstanding!
Good luck man! Perfect fit for the channel! Wish I could drive something like that dang....
*The Mustang Chassis is STRONG, STIFF, and SOLID*
*It's Capable of Handling Heavy, High Horsepower Engines without Twisting*
*Test for Yourself. Put a Floor Jack near the Tire and Lift the Car from the Side. Then Note, Virtually ZERO Flex in the Chassis*
*and that doesn't include Custom Bracing for Racing*
All the cooling systems impress me just as much as the beautiful body does. Is this the ultimate mustang??
Thank you for the technical overview of this special car...
Literally, the first Mustang, ever
That has made me say oh my God, I want that.
Since I know that you’ll track it and share those track days with us I think it’d be an awesome car for you to get if it makes sense for you financially. I’m uninterested in the GTD as a street car due to the cost, but as a track car Ford plans to race I think it’s a great idea.
Great video! Dude you’re crushing it! 👍👍
All that billet aluminum and carbon is soo sick!
This is unbelievable what Ford is giving us right now, wowwwwww Ford 🔥🔥🔥💨💨
Out of anyone on CZcams I hope you get this car! Your track contend is so good!
Definitely looks very very wicked, should be a track destroyer
Man how I wish this car was around the 120k-150 mark… looks amazing!
I hope you do get one because you're the only one tracking and showing us like you the with the corvettes good job 👏🏻👏🏻
Seeing this now, this is beyond other car companies. all the billet, that cantilever rear suspension, the transaxle setup, this is worth the money IMO and I dont see why people would complain.
Mustangs were always a relatively affordable car, but nothing said every one of them was. Hopefully it goes near 7m on the ring or even slightly under
1. Are you planning to try to get one? 2. The engineering, especially the rear sub and transaxle, make this better than so many exotics. I think this car will bring crazy money if they keep the production numbers down. 3. Good job, dude.
Those parts look amazing!
Good to see you again
I remember in the early 2000's I was saying that Ford needed to take the Mustang to the next level never in my wildest dreams I would be looking at this🎉🎉🎉 can't wait to see what it can do on the track
Roger that.
Ford came to play!
@@richardmodglin3900 - More like 'James that', as Jim Foley, Ford CEO, has been behind this car 100%. He is a decent amateur racer himself and said he has envisioned this Mustang for 5 decades. He was quoted as saying he wanted to make a Mustang GT3 car that would make Porsche, Mercedes and Aston Martin sweat! He then challenged any CEO and their best production car to take a go at it with him in the GTD when it is done! This guy is a real car company CEO with competition in his veins! 🏆🏁
Hell yeah you should get the new mustang. Whats wrong with you even thinking like you weren't already putting that in motion on the sly. Come on now. Lol. For real...yes...you should track the crap out of it and compare it to all the other rides you track. This is why I watch you man...thank you for living the dream and sharing it with us.
FYI: Transaxles are found on the cheapest imported, FWD cars. But if you're talking about Mustangs, it's a first (Corvette has had them since the C5).
Hey Bud!
Long time sub and Boss 302 Laguna Seca owner here and you should 100% try for one of these!! I’ve driven my home track, Laguna Seca once and it was amazing. Hope to meet you out there sometime - hopefully to see your new GTD!!
Thanks…interestingly, you have the “Mustang LS302” I would have chosen / bought.
Dct box looks like a tr-9080 c8 unit, idk if the ratios are the same or just change the transfer gear to tighten the ratios like z06 did... Well if its true, good choice by them
AWESOME NEW MUSTANG. FORD MAKES THE BEST AMERICAN CARS.💜🇺🇲
GTD.....Get Them Drawls😂😂😂....that mf nasty tho
If you get one.......please keep us posted!!!
Guauuu.thats a beast! Looks like Ford won the competition over GM and Dodge..they gave Mustang a proper final edition! Nice video 👍

Absolutely epic! Love that car! Being a 2013shelbygt500 owner that gets drag raced and road course raced this is perfect! Go for it! Would be great to see it on your channel tracking with the other cars! Comparison!
this is the first S650 i think is really cool.
I want two, one black and one ruby red clear coat like my FFS.
This the best mustang they ever produced I love the Shelby gt but this one is a whole other level
This is the first video of yours I have clicked on in a long time. Hoping to see something
WOW! And this is a street car. WOW!
Get it and enjoy the hell out of it!!!👍
You sold the track pack and cited tire cost. What would be different if you acquired a GTD?
Go for it!
If you can get the allocation, get it!
If you can get one of these cars, I'll be watching. :-)
It will be interesting to see what this does against the C8 ZO6 on track.
Probably the GTD is faster at the race track
Got my money, on the GTD

@@brandonjacobo4965 A standard GT500 weighs 4100 lbs with the same engine. This car has a transaxle, carbon fiber components, and lighter suspension components. It would be interesting to see.
Nice. I’m probably one of the few ppl who is curious about the interior. The only details so far on that is that its a 2 seater.
Crappy interior, it's a racing variant focused stang.
So cool!!
9:43 That drive-by looks like it is the 1959 Lister Chevrolet created by Chuck Beck.
I am sad Ken Block is not around anymore to take this monster for a spin
You should definitely aim to get the GTD. You will do what Ford wants people to do with this car. Hopefully they don't drop the ball like they did with your application for the Ford GT..
So still front engine but trans is mid (rear) of the car. Pretty sweet!
I hope they sell you one of these.
You didn't get a numbered coin at the new introduction/release show?
All that machined aluminum is 💯 car porn and I’m here for it 🤤
760 vs 800 what effect does this have in additional performance and effect upon consumables or over wear etc
Owners of a $300k car will probably be less worried than most about consumables, but anyway I recon the weight will matter more than the HP
I love it wish i could buy me onee really nice
Multimatic should come up with a performance kit the way Manthey does for Porsche. Brakes, full suspension kinematics and dampers, lightweight magnesium wheels, aero, rear seat delete and clubsport type cage, and seats. Maybe Recaro Podium. Some carbon panels will be nice. One for the Dark Horse, another for the GT/Ecoboost. Ford did you read this?
We will have to mortgage our houses🤣
Not practical as the cost would be too much for the typical Mustang owner to handle.
Would love to see you track this
How do u open the trunk in this thing
I was more interested in that vintage Jaguar in the background. Cool "Mustang" though.
Can anyone explain the physics … the active spoiler, is now fastened on TOP of the wing, as with many high end performance cars. What is the benefit being attached on top, as opposed to being fastened to the bottom…?
The front design should've been on the new regular Mustang.
The Ultima RS is an amazing car.
I hate to admit this, but this version of the Ford mustang I actually like a lot I’ve hated every single one of them, but this one is very good Giving the C8 a run for his money
*I love the new Ford Civic Type R!*
If I win the lottery.
The Ford intro video looked like testing at Road Atlanta. I would like to know what the lap times were!
You and a few million others, but we won't know until the car is produced next year.
That drive shaft isTitan technology
Did you say 20" brake rotor?
Your right you have to get one and track it …. It’s what you do .
Definitely get it, understanding the process, you have a great chance of getting it since you actually use the vehicles and you’ve made a name on CZcams.
You have to own a mustang again. This car fits you for what you do.
You should definitely try your best to get one!
Game Changer, GTD.
I was hoping to see it on track at Laguna Seca.
Not until next year!
From the factory!🤯
DRS? Nice!
Hey Santa
I've been good and if you've been wondering who gets this Mustang GTD
Yes please ,...I will enjoy this
Just wish Ford would either make a mid engine corvette competitor or make an AWD GT500.
Get one and share it with us. I'd love to see you track it and get your feedback.
Will the engine use an Eaton or a centrifugal blower like a Procharger ?
Likely a 2650 rotor pack TVS like the GT500. Id like to see it with a Whipple twin screw myself
Imagine this thing all black with flames on the hood and sides. Need For Speed fans, you know what I'm talking about😈😈😈
You must be young🤣🤣
No thanks sonny, I'll pass on that frightening image!
I wonder if you can put these parts on a gt500 cftp?
Why would you want to, as those parts cost plus the additional reconstruction of the GT500, would put in an unreachable price range for most!
@@Loulovesspeed s550 is lighter to begin with, than the s650, plus the s650 is basically a Shelby chassis so adding carbon ceramic brakes, titanium exhaust, down force with a drs system, and carbon reduction, and dry sump would make an already track capable track car a epic track car for half the price of a GTD. It already had the 5.2 predator engine. I think it’s a amazing idea.
@@marcog6470- The GTDs weight hasn't been announced but I'll guarantee you it will be much lighter than the Shelby GT500 -(4,200 lbs.) by a couple thousand ! You need to read about the chassis and suspension as it is significantly different and much higher tech than the Shelby. You really owe it to yourself to research more on the GTD as many more changes have been made to it than you realize.
This car is not even in the same realm as the Corvette. This is a different level can’t compare them at all besides the insane price.
Driveshaft and trans axle shafts are carbontanium, Developed by koenigsig. It's carbon fiber with titanium fused together
I don't think the GTD is using that combination of materials. Ford and Multimatic never use the term carbotanium in describing their driveshaft - strictly carbon fiber. I'll need to do some more checking. Also, they don't specifically mention the trans axles as being carbon fiber.
It’s like the GT500 CFTP but like if it took steroids with its steroids
Ford, give this man the opportunity to get it.
Is the interior fugIy like the 2024 Mustang?
I wouldn't count on it!
This really looks like it was designed by the Ford GT engineers..
Is there an interior inside the GTD?
IF its the same as 2024 Mustang fail
Whoa
'Tremec eight-speed dual-clutch transaxle'
Is this a first for Ford? Or has this auto tranny been tested in other Fords?
The out of production Ford GT used a 7 speed trans axle, but no other production Ford to my knowledge ever used one.
Why they need to hide it when every1 already seen it
Is it a manual transmission
I'm with you all the way, still seems they could have designed it lighter.
After looking at the suspension components, this is all handbuilt for racing. Old nascar rule of having to make x number of cars so they could qualify. Seems like they have went all out to allow non-factory race teams to buy these cars.
❤ your videos mate from down under 🏁🇦🇺🥂🍾👏👏👏
Great idea get the car take it to the track
Have you not heard of Mag wheels...used in the 60s. Mag stands for magnesium. Si this isn't the first widespread use of Magnesium wheels.
