the first game was simple honestly...
CoM added to it, but it's nothing you can't follow if you keep an open mind
Days was confusing and annoying to actually play, but if you know who Roxas is, it's all good
2 was confusing only because people believed that the other games were merely spinoffs and not something you actually need to play for the story, once you get past that, it's not so bad
BbS is where things get really confusing if you don't pay attention
Coded doesn't exist and therefore is irrelevant
3D is a fun game, but a messy story that really throws things for a loop with the "unconventional mark of mastery" exam and the fact they just say "oh yeah, the main bad guy has some time travel powers too" right at the end
FP is fine, it does everything it needs to do well, but doesn't break the mold with the story, though it's mostly to test the new gameplay that 3 was going to have
the mobile game was the actual events of the story Kairi's grandmother told her which is nice, plus it talks about the legends of the keyblade itself and how it both destroyed and saved the world...
3 takes everything established and meshes it all together nicely enough, there are a few questions if you stop to think too long, but as long as you've played all the games prior, you know everything you need to know
Kairi's awkward as hell laugh was a perfect representation of her in KH1

The fact they didnt even sugarcoat that Donald VAPORIZED him. We see his Atoms dissipate. I dont think even Sephiroth was capable of that...
That actually is untrue. Merlin is much more powerful. In fact, Merlin is the most broken character in the game. He could have easily solo'd Xehanort and MoM

Thing is that Merlin ismt a black mage. Despite the robe hes most closer to a White mage, given his emphasis on support and restoration magic. While he likely has some powerful offensive spells at his disposal, we only really see him restoring MP and HP, as well as potent magic enabling restoration of tjobts as huge as the timeline. Yen Sid is probably the Red Mage hybrid, with potent offense and support magic, but not nearly as potent as either Donald or Nerlin in either regard.

Just gonna say, if you spent half the game in the Gumi ship, you probably were playing it for the first time and didn't understand what a warp drive is.
When I found out the Gumi ship shooting sections in KHIII were mostly optional, I practically wept with joy.

eh... the first game really isn't at all complicated... then again... the single most complicated game in the series is BbS, but if you keep an open mind with it all, it's not that hard to keep up with
the reason it seems so complicated is because people try to explain everything all at once, when in truth, you're supposed to get everything in bits at a time, understanding each game takes time to sit with the game itself and take the information as it gives it to you

There is no bad writing, or cringe moments in kingdom hearts. Anything you think is bad writing or cringe moments can be explained with another character getting a keyblade for plot and for nothing else

I know there are a good amount of people who enjoyed the shooter mini game and bless them, but by god, did I just fricking do all the gummi ship paths just to unlock worlds, especially in KHII, JUST TO GET IT OVER WITH. I hated the gummi ship so much as a teen I didn’t even upgrade it once. Warp drive was so nice at the end game.

Kingdom hearts isn't complicated it's just a world where everyone speaks in metaphors but those metaphors are actually really how it works it's a bunch of shenanigans really but it's entertaining to see buzz light-year or Mike wazowski interact with Sora, Donald and Goofy
