And it is a source of income, first of all learn to be disciplined!! You can't fly drones anywhere you want, just because you have it, tourist places are there for you to see it, not to fly drones.. first follow rules of local community.. if you can't pay what they ask, then don't go..

Any tourist place will be like that.You enjoy nature happily without complications . When you are accompanied by a guide,it won't trigger any fear in them.Have a great day.
The village is not a museum where you can venture around anywhere you like. There is a question of things which the villagers may consider private, which they won't like anyone to diaplay for the whole world to see in a video.
Hence, if u hire a guide he/she would be able to help you keep those untoward incidents in check.
Simply put it in this way, you will hit two birds with one stone; provide financial support to the villagers and also avoid unpleasant, unfortunate incidents.

Please understand that lack of employment opportunities makes the village people resort to such methods to earn a livelihood. The contours of the land restrict the development of industry and ongoing strife are all affecting employment and the economy. We have similar situation with Auto drivers in TN. You can only hire from local stand. So is TN any better? So one must be mindful of their situation when passing judgement. Also food habits are unique to each region. Frogs are eaten in KL and in PY. I have tasted in KL and let me assure you that it tastes like chicken with a very mild fishy flavor.

Gentleman, I have to alert you that some villages in northeast India have strict rules and laws. They are strictly followed by the inhabitants and are under the village headman whom they call gaonbura and he is the most powerful person there. They have traditions and customs which maybe they wanna keep private. So it's really dangerous to enter such villages without proper knowledge. You belong from South India, there they don't even spare among themselves the sub-tribes or the people of other villages. The Nagas have actually around 17 sub-tribes.
The safest way to make videos in northeast Indian villages is to contact the locals or even the village elders first, if possible the village headman and take the permission first. Tell them your plans and if they have any objection with it. If you are short of budget just join your palms together and there are high chances that they would understand and allow you. Don't always think that people are scamming you.
And yes, the most important thing is that you are earning selling the visuals of the village, isn't it? So, if you give a part of your income like 500 Rs. to one of them for being a guide to you in return, what is wrong there, man? It's just the daily wage of a labourer.
Note: not applicable in town area like Dimapur or Shillong or Imphal or Aizawl but in the villages be very careful.
Now, I request you to make another video about northeast Indian villages on this topic in a way to alert other vloggers so as they not face problems like you in future.
Be very careful and not to be rude like saying I am an Indian and can travel anywhere. You are seriously lucky, man.

Bro actually they are charging because the other sources of income for these people is very very less so only they are trying to forcefully creat employment opportunities and this will help them stay in this village i understand one side they money minded but it because there is no other sources.
