Some people like the crunchy look. Nothing wrong with it. I personally have tried to fluff like this, but it tends to make my hair more dry and it doesn’t last as long. So I’d rather wait a day
My wash and go needs to last 5-7 days, through sweat and inclement weather. I LOVE crunchy wash and go’s. The crunch only lasts a few days, and the set lasts up to 10 days 👌🏽
Marcie_does_it yes girl I workout and sweat in my head bad so for me it’s pointless to stretch it out. It will fall on its own and last longer. So I look like I got a Jerry curl for a couple days. My hair is fine and naturally curly too. 1 Gel gives me the wet look 😂

Yes, this is facts!! A wash n go is so you can WASH and then GO lmao. I wear mines just like that (how she said not to wear it lol) and I love it.. Plus it really does last longer no manipulation over here (or very little) 😁💛

When I started watching this video I thought Oh my she talking about me! 👀😣. Shoot, in my last two videos my hair was definitely crunchy. Then I started reading through these comments and I no longer felt like that woman everyone be talking about behind her back b/c her hair really ain’t as cute as she thought. To each her own, cuz I'm not doing it on day 1. Nuh-uh! No mam! I thought Kimberly's hair was cute at the start. I rather start with 'flat' hair on day 1 because as each day passes, and with the banding method at nights, the hair stretches and get frizzier which means it gets fluffier and bigger everyday. And I don't pick my hair either, that volume come naturally by day 2. I rather my hair look like her end look on day 3 or 4 rather than day 1. On day 1 I can wear a baseball cap or fedora no prob (I love that look) but only on day 1 because after that my hair is too big.
Confession, I walk around looking stoopit the first day for EVERY wash n go 😳... and yes I do hate it 😂😂😂 I be real mad at the crunch n hair looking all thin 💀💀 buuttt I HAATEEEEE sitting under a dryer so I air dry all day and band overnight only that first night. Every day gets bigger and better until I wash 5-6 days later 🥰🥰.
Cruncher here in H-Town! That’s why I can’t fluff on day one with the humidity. At the end of the day, I’ll have a baby Afro. 🤷🏾♀️

Nahhhh that crunch makes the hair last longer for me. It be bouncy but stuck in place for a whole week after i let the crunch go away on its own.
When I “ stretch out” my hair it never stays stretched it dries up back short due to humidity

I was using the banding method, but it doesn't work. I'm going to have to "pineapple" every night instead.

I had the same problem, but before you straight it out, you need to have your crunchy and dry hair than when it's dry do the banding method before to slip and i'M TELLING YOU it will stay stretch ;-)

People want shiny hair friend. Don’t complain. I just don’t like putting a lot of heat to my hair. I guess it can be done on a cool setting, ‘cause I really prefer a full head of hair vs. a flat head of hair. I’ve only stretched my hair using the banding or twisting method. Then this FL heat just shrinks it back up, I might get a day of stretched hair. It’s frustrating.

I let my hair be crunchy for the first 2 days and I have thin hair and I just pull it up in a bun and separate my curls and boom volume all without heat . So i don't need a blow dryer to get volume and my thin hair just be kicking it💁🏾

The reason I leave my hair like this is 1) I STRUGGLE with definition and 2) by day 2&3 it’ll get fluffier and fluffier and it just lasts much longer than if I stretch/fluff from day 1

It doesnt matter what i do pineapple, banding, satin scarves, satin pillowcases etc. my curls NEVER stay overnight. I always have to refresh in the morning and end up loading my hair up with products before the week is over lmao one day ill get to this level

This last wash n go I did, I actually did separate my curls and I never do that. It definitely gives you instant volume. I still don’t like picking my hair out cuz I don’t like puffy or frizzy roots. STILL in the market for a standing hooded dryer tho. I sold the hooded dryer I had. It worked, BUT situating it was the issue.
Same I did my wash and go and let it air dry, it already have volume so I’m good. No frizz too.

Yeah, nah sis. I like my crunch because my wash n’ go last longer. And you ain’t had to come for us like that 🙄 it’s cute to us and hella low maintenance like when you refresh your hair the crunch won’t go away 🙄.
That “heat damage” look aint cute, straight roots curly ends. And that’s exactly what most people hair looks like when they stretch it out (mines included)
