DONNA- LemonCover hahaha I hear you! I have started putting away any money I earn into a separate bank account so it is to be used on cosplay related things. That way my normal pay check doesn’t suffer as much
I make and sell cosplay-items (like cat-ears and -tails, Lolita-headdresses and little cute bags) at conventions.

So many ways I never knew about! I’m like you that I do it as a hobby! I’ll stick with CZcams for now done that’s what I enjoy, but thanks for sharing those other ideas!

Another downside to CZcams is that even if you have all those subscribers, you still may not get a lot because of demonetization issues or simply because subscribers have things like Ad Blocker or other such add-ons.

Yeah in 2016-2018 david dobrik was making a $279,000+-U.S dollars a video(he had over 430 videos to add that up haha) and in 2019 he was making $0 because his song got corighted sad day for him

Affiliate programs are another option, and sponsorships are great but you're more likely to get free materials than money.

Do you have any ways for younger cosplayers to make any money as I am a child(13 yes I know I'm young) and it's really hard to afford cosplay as I rely fully on my parents/guardian for the money to afford then but I would like to be able to pay for things myself and be able to earn the money to buy my cosplays so I'm not relying on my family as much i have tried to find ways I could make money but I can't find anything plus being British there aren't many options so if you have any tips or ideas it would be very nice, if you cannot I do understand sorry for bothering you :)
Hey! You are not bothering me. :) as for you making money, I don’t think that I can say you should be going out and working. Your studies are super important. What I would say, you could earn some extra money whilst you develop your skills like learning how to take up hems of skirts and pants. And when you are old enough, look at getting a casual job- I started at McDonalds and was there for 4 years and it taught me about time management and being accountable- both skills you need for cosplay.

First start by developing your craft and define yourself with what type of cosplay you want to be known for - craftsmanship, model, entertainer etc. From there you can look at how you can get money.

I sell star wars (clone trooper & storm trooper) helmets and armor I've made allot but it's just sitting here and I'm not sure I know how to network.
I would imagine things like Facebook groups, reaching out in dms to Star Wars cosplayers and interacting with the 501st is a good idea.
Is there a way for underage cosplayers who don’t get an allowance from their parents? I’m not old enough for a job, and I don’t have any fans >_
I would suggest that you speak to your parents and ask if they will let you do odd jobs for neighbours and friends like gardening, ironing, baby sitting etc.

I’m 11 years old and a cosplayer and a good way for me to make money is I’m a Gachatuber it takes lots of effort but there are lots of pros aswell I also have an Etsy shop
