The calculations that speedrunners do isn't quite that precise. They estimate it based off of throwing two pearls and dividing 1000 by the angle change. So a degree change of 2 means that the stronghold is 500 blocks away.
Stable bastions have gold blocks, but they're not exposed. The blocks are hidden in the blackstone.

To get 5,000 ancient debris in 100 days, you need 50 ancient debris per day, which is 2.5 ancient debris PER MINUTE-near-impossible even if you start with all the infrastructure, especially when you have to catch up on all the lost progress

If I again round to 5,000 ancient debris for simplicity, with 100 Minecraft days to work with, that is 5000/100=50 ancient debris per day. Each minecraft day and night lasts 20 minutes, meaning that for each day you have to collect 50/20=2.5 ancient debris per real-life minute of gameplay.
There's nothing wrong with that math, but let's say there is, and I need to use a different method to check it. To do this, I will just convert at a different step of the process. 100 minecraft days times 20 IRL minutes per day equals 2,000 IRL minutes; 5,000 ancient debris divided by 2,000 IRL minutes yields the same result of 2.5 ancient debris per minute. For even more redundancy, I'll convert those 2,000 minutes into hours (2000/60 =33.33333) and then find out how much ancient debris you need per hour (5000/33.333 =150 ancient debris per hour) and then convert that into ancient debris per minute(150/60 = 2.5 ancient debris per minute)
If you want the more precise numbers, you need 5,904 ancient debris for a full netherite beacon. 5904/100 = 59.04 ancient debris per day. 59.04/20 = 2.952 ancient debris per day. So on average, you actually need to get closer to 3 ancient debris per day.
@Poafa btw there are actually 4 bastions, fourth one being housing, which always has nine blocks, also stables isn't always bad, it is quite rare that it has no gold blocks

Yeah and the stables bastion can get up to 25 blocks of gold if you are extremely lucky, but usually there is around 11
It would be fun to see you retry this but optimise the run like rekrap did. Like rush end elytra and stuff like that I think you could further your score quite a bit
I was thinking the same instead maybe rush to make a giant tunnel bore or smth I spent a couple of hours to get like 14 blocks of netherite for a build. And for the gold make a quick gold farm

There are actually four types of bastions, the one you missed being housing. Stables bastions have two locations or "gaps" where gold can spawn, but each gap has a 50% chance of not containing gold, referred in speedrunning as "bad gaps". Housing always contains nine gold blocks in the same spot every time, and treasure has more gold that was missed in the second building.

If you are interested in optimising this to get an even lower nr of days needed to complete it, I would definetly recommend you looking into All Advancement speedruns, which use a lot of strategies that would help you. Fun video! Really like the concept :3

Stables can have 0-somewhere around 16 gold blocks based off rng.
The treasure bastion also has another 10 gold blocks in the second building
Pretty easy to learn where they are just spend like 15 minutes looking at a tutorial

In my HC world I'm already on 122 Blocks and I recommend using a cured Toolsmith Villager to get many Efficiency 2, Unbreaking 3 Diamond Picks and then mine along Chunk borders at Y=14. Great vid!

it took me about 3 weeks of playing the game for at least 3--6 hours a day when netherite came out for me to do it so honestly the progress made in just 100 Minecraft days is actually pretty impressive.

1:32 Hoglin Stables can actually contain the highest amount of gold blocks out of all bastion types, but it's highly unlikely. You would have to encounter a variant with three high ramparts and two gold rooms, which would give you up to 36 gold blocks. There is also a chance for some single gold blocks in the main stables area.

AMAZING VID! btw there's a 4th bastion called housing, which does have at least 9 gold blocks if you route it right, but you're right stables is bad. Hard to navigate, no visible gold, hoglins

if you were to try this again, you should use an elytra+fire res+a bunch of rockets to essentially fly in the lava and look for ancient debris. this is better than any other method out there but you would need a lot of rockets to maintain this.

The seed wouldn't affect this almost at all. And even if he "practiced" he still wouldn't be able to get all of the netherite blocks because even if he had the boar machine for the entire time he wouldn't have been able to do it. It's just not possible
i don't think it is posable how ever i think you can get around like 30 blocks if you are near perfect(qualifications i got a stack of netherite blocks on my hardcore world)

I think a gold farm is way faster than looting bastions.
Building a gold farm takes time. If he had more time a gold farm would be better, however short term bastions are faster

please dont be using shulker crafts videos, they steal from creators and often dont credit them. they also do not explain some vital information about the farms such as ianxofour's stacking raid farm, it is directional and they dont explain that, and it needs to be built in a specific area which they also dont explain, love your video still, just please dont use them
best way to do netherite mining is to use f3+G to turn on chunk borders and make your bed explosion halfway between two chunks, because only a certain amount of netherite can spawn in each chunk so it essentially doubles your chances

If you had dreams luck you would spawn next to a ruined nether portal that is completible and it would spawn you next to a bastion chest which will have 5 stacks of netherite blocks

7:29 One thing I found out when building and using a gold farm above the nether roof, is that you can hold crouch and go back onto the scaffolding stack, it will act as if you are climbing down a ladder. If you fall onto it uncrouched, you will take damage, like normal blocks

you can use easymode. It is a setting in litmatica and it does so you can place blocks sooooo easy. you don't have to look at the other blocks to place them. it's a little bit hard to explain, but it's much simpler. trust me, it is

The reason it seemed like stables spawned so much is because there is actually stables and housing... 2 very similar bastions with similar amounts of gold to treasure and bridge, but just harder to find (hidden behind blocks) so those 2 bastions on average take up 50% of bastions in the world

Oh let's go one of my favorite youtubers are getting into speed-cubing.
I think a couple months ago a tnt duping tunnel bore was created which is not only way faster, but doesn't require clearing lava as it launches tnt into unloaded chunks which lets you clear massive areas without needing to worry about lava breaking the machine. if you had used that design instead(along with a texture pack to change the color of ancient debris to spot it easier) then you would have probably doubled or tripled the amount you found. obviously nowhere near the amount you needed, but much more then what you got.

My strat would be: Get an elytra, Build a sand farm, build a gunpouder farm, make tnt, make a big tunnel with the tnt, mine the netherite (use visible ores texture pack).

You Should have like give some time to progress to get maxed out armor and tools, then count up to 100 of mining for ancient debris make it all into block, and maybe get the beacon first. So it's mostly mining

I can see that poafa didn't watch rekraps speedrunning video thoroughly because there are 4 bastions and housing is one that he didn't list. There is a guarantee of 9 blocks in housing and there is a random chance that 1 or both towers in stables have gold
or none of the towers in stables could have gold. Also in housing it's more than that counting backup gold you get when routing. Also he could have gotten more gold from treasure if he decided to get the gold speedrunners use.
