  • An Baul (Hangul: 안바울, Korean pronunciation: [an.ba.ul]; born 25 March 1994) is a South Korean judoka.
    An is the former half-lightweight World Champion. He rose to prominence by becoming South Korea's first half-lightweight champion in more than a decade.
    Before transitioning to senior level, An was a noted junior judoka, where he was also junior World Champion. He is known for his tactical style of fighting and versatile seoi nage. He is currently ranked No. 1 in the world (as of 30 May 2016).
    At the 2016 Olympics, An won a silver medal in the men's 66 kg.
    An Ba-Ul of Korea became World Champion in 2015 in Astana U66kg. He won silver at the Olympic Games in Rio in 2016 U66kg and bronze at the 2018 World Championships in Baku. An Baul also won the World Junior title in 2013 and won silver in 2011. He won the Universiade in 2015. In 2015 he won in Abu Dhabi and GP Düsseldorf and IJF Masters in 2016. An won gold at the European Open in Rome in 2017. He won bronze at the Grand Slam in Tokyo in 2017. An won the Grand Slam of Paris in 2018 and 2020.
