Good review. Thank you for the heads up on the $99 price for the Chamberlain openers. Went and bought 20 this afternoon. With exception of the fancy cover, the camera and permanent LED light, these are as good as any other Chamberlain DC motor openers. Genie's are garbage and so is the Aladdin app.
I just installed the Chamberlain $99 one. It replaced a screwdrive Genie. My genie was loud and we had gotten use to it. Nothing wrong with it per say. The Chamberlain, you have to try listen for it, standing next to the garage door. It took more time to run new sensor wires than anything else. Only issue is our late model C-class MB Homelink refuses to connect. All the other vehicles connect 1st try.
I went and got me one of the Chamberlains yesterday and I was really disappointed. It was just as loud as my old 8550 from my big door right out of the box
In my opinion, I dislike genie because their motor is not user friendly in my opinion. The Aladdin connect app UI is not my style and I don’t like the aesthetics of genie motor. I prefer LM or Chamberlain or Craftsman because they have MyQ built in and they have more features than genie. The MyQ app design looks better than Aladdin connect.
@@GDOs I also went to two stores today to get 20. When I found out this morning about this sale, I couldn't get out the door fast enough. I've found the square rail is quieter running than the solid T rail, I think because of the sound dampeners on the rail guide.

I was able to grab one chamberlain and three genies today. All the chamberlains were sold out but one. I was happy to get three genies though.
A $100 garage door opener is too good of a deal to pass up. I would snatch up as many as possible.

Thank you for the feedback. I use both. The MyQ is the more robust app. I find customers are very happy with it's UI.
