That's so lucky that your puppy doesn't swallow thread! What a nice husband to replace your kit for you - you didn't mention his injury, so hopefully his hand is healing well. Your projects look awesome - have fun stitching!
Oh thank you for asking. It is so thoughtful of you. He is healing well. Was blessed and didn't even damage the ligament despite hitting the bone so he has full function of his hand.

Your Mirabilia for the Queen City Retreat is coming along beautifully! You are the only flosstuber I have heard mention it other than the two stitchers who are organizing it. I, too, am working on several designs by Nora Corbett. :-) I have a cat who when he was young used to chew up the furniture just like a puppy might do. Chewed up the fabric on a sofa and an armchair!!
Oh my goodness I didn't realize cats chewed like that! What Nora pieces are you working on??
Just started Deco Spirits--yesterday. :-) Rotating some other Nora's--Spring Queen, Pond Lily, Moon Glow, Glittering Leaves and two smaller free patterns of hers from the 90's In Cupid's Garden and Heavenly Holidays. Hoping to finish something before the retreat. :-)

When my dog was a puppy (she was a BIG puppy) she ate the whole thanksgiving turkey as it was cooling on the counter while we were in the living room playing a board game! No turkey that thanksgiving!

My puppy has gotten into similar mischief! She chewed on a spool of silk thread, chewed on my q snaps which had a Nora Corbett in it (fabric had some very minor damage), chewded on my scissors, and chewed on my pincushion, which required a trip to the ER vet to pull a needle out of her stomach. And I do try really hard to keep my supplies out of her reach! I look forward to seeing your Snow Maiden progress. I will also be attending the Queen City Retreat ☺

Oh sweet puppy! Ours is an old girl now so less chewing happening. Fourth Wing was SO good!!!

I personally don't have a puppy, but we did look after my sons when he was away on his honeymoon. She was so wonderful, enjoyed her immensly.....maybe there will be a puppy in my future!! Loved seeing all your projects, looking forward to seeing the progress on your sals. Im in the process of kitting up Treasure Isand, thanks for sharing yours.
Oh puppies are such a beautiful thing! Even if it is for pet sitting and short periods. So full of joy. How is Treasure Island coming! It's so fun!

I am pulling for you to get a finish on that Mira in time for your retreat! I am thinking about joining in Summer Quaker as I have the chart so.......why not? Your husband likes the classics, but that stitch is one big puppy!
Were you able to join the summer quaker adventure! It's such a beautiful chart. I put in only one day so I could push for the Mira finish. About 200 stitches and the stitching will be done!
@@ladyluganasarahvanwey3499 Yes, I joined and I'm so glad I did that is a fun stitch. I chose a soft hand dyed yellow, which I know sounds meh but I'm really happy about it. It also works for sampler September- I can't wait to see your Mira!
We had a puppy that loved shoes. Yes typical, I guess, and very expensive in the long run, lol
Hahah especially with the price of shoes now! We need to guard our laces.
I have a just under 6 month old puppy right now. He’s my first dog in over 20 years. His favorite thing to chew is me and my daughters very large German Shepherd. I dog sit her dog, Scar, usually about five days a week. Anyways my puppy Jax is a miniature American shepherd they used to be called mini Australian shepherds but their registered name was adjusted to more accurately represent that they’re an American breed. I just love him so much but I had forgotten what a handful puppies can be. He’s just about done teething at this point and I’m so glad lol! He’s chewing a lot less. I so enjoyed the video, nice to see you back!

Hi Sarah ❤!! Every day I worry about my dog getting ahold of one of my projects. It’s a challenge when you are actively working on something! Maybe you could plan to start each season’s queen in the matching first day over the year. This coming autumn 🍂 you could give the already started queen a week. This gives you time to kit up any remaining parts you need for the others. If framing isn’t in the cards then focus on Snow Maiden for a finish AT the retreat !! Love the Dino 🦕 stitch, fabric and bag, what FUN!!

Sorry to hear your puppy destroyed your cross stitch. Our puppy did that at the beginning and destroyed threads of mine, i was very lucky he didn't destroy the pieces though! Now I lock all my pieces away either behind closed doors or up very high where he can't reach :) Great video as always look forward to the next one.

Really enjoy your videos! I’m sorry to hear about your puppy cross stitch incident. We’re thinking about getting a puppy and if we do I’ll be making sure I keep my cross stitch projects packed away! You’re Mirabilia piece for the retreat looks amazing - it’s now been added to my wish list along with many many others 😂 As far as rotation advice I would swap your Mira piece for the Eugenie piece and make her your inbetween project

How nice your puppy doesn't swallow what she chews. Our girl, Miss Macie swallows. Too many vet trips under our belts. I love the name Primrose.🐕
Oh goodness! That is one of my fears that she will be plugged up! I grew up with a lab that did that and can relate to the vet trips!

I completely understand about a puppy chewing up stuff. Roxy Bear is going to 3 and she constantly chews everything. She destroyed one FFO, Easter chick on a Michael's tin. Chewed can and all😢 but what can you do. She is put in a crate when we are gone. Latest thing was chewing Maggie's dog bed to pieces😅

Enjoyed your video.I too had the same issue choosing between Aimee Stewart's patterns (once upon a Fairytale and Stitching shelf) I chose Fairytale regular size and have it all kitted..(not started).Also have a Josephine Wall HAED called Alternative Reality (so pretty)❤..check out Teresa Little Stitcher's progress on that..I have a labradoodle puppy that steals my thread for attention I think. Sometimes I find them and sometimes I don't 😮.
Your labradoodle sounds very clever! Oh I love Alternative Reality too! It's hard to choose knowing they take so long to stitch.

Oh boy, what a great episode!! So many ways I adore you! lol. I now have the book on order, I now want to stitch the dragon, I now think your Puppy has to be a relative, in some way, shape, or form to my cat, who chewed EVERYTHING! lol. And, I now think I may need to invest in a bunch of the bags you've showed!! Oh my! - I'd push for a finish on the Mira, for the retreat! I'm too nervous a sort to put it into rotation & fear the framer taking longer than expected to have it returned in time! - As far as rotation advice, I've got nothin" to offer! I can't seem to stick to just one way. - some days, I'll be a stitch a certain number of stitches, some days it's a certain number of threads, other days it's rows, or columns & other days I just think it's fun to see just how many of my projects I can put just one strand of floss into. Lol - it's never the same 2 days in a row - so, I really have no good advice for what would be best for you. As long as we're happy stitching & enjoy every bit of it, that's really all I aim for. My puppy also eats floss. In fact, she ate the specialty dyed floss (that i couldn't get more of - one-time recipe) and i was only half done the pattern. However, I think I've trained it out of her. You never know what the pup will do if given half a chance!
Oh...that makes my heart hurt for you! Were you every able to get your project done? It's true, our sweet dogs can learn so much!

I do not have a puppy so I’m able to leave projects out. Sorry for your project loss. I’m not regimented in my stitching so I can’t recommend one way or another. Looking forward to seeing your choice.

I have never had a puppy but my fiancé has a dog and I love him. He is a wonderful dog. I am sorry that your puppy chewed your piece.
When our dog was a puppy, she chewed an entire window sill in like 10 minutes while unsupervised 😅😂 I LOVE the fabric you chose for your summer queen!

I'm doing Amy Stewarts Stitching Shelf so I have to vote for that one! I loved Fourth Wing as well (know what you mean about the steamy scenes though) but I need something new to read and didn't quite catch the name of the one you mentioned you were currently reading. Something Rose? Can you let me know, my favourite authhor's nexdt book is coming out in 2 weeks and I need something to read before then! (She is Nalini Singh, paranormal romance - also pretty steamy scenes!)
Of course! Its the Court of Thrones and Roses series by Sara J. Maas. They are fantastic. Five in the series and excellent reads. Oh, I love the stitching shelf.... I think it's because it is seasonal

I think you should first finish snow maiden. She is in real life so much beautifuller than on the picter. What a difference. Have a nice stitchy time.

I have been lucky that my puppy has not noticed my pile of cross stitch next to her crate. I would be so upset if she chewed something like that.
I can relate! The older one completely ignores it... although she did get my husband's stocking one year. I had to start that project over
