      Many aspects of his career are similar to his father's career. Father first season age 21, last age 34. Prince first season aged 21, last 32. Prince's OBP .099 higher than his average. Cecil's .090 higher. Father 1470 games, Prince 1611. Prince 6 AS, 3 SS MVP 3,3,4,9,13, his Father 3 AS, 2 SS, MVP 2,2,9,24. Prince's career war 23.8, father 17.2. Both bad defenders, and you can keep going....

    There's a hidden reason for why Prince was also traded. During the 2013 season there was an "incident" in the clubhouse with a certain former Tiger. look it up if you haven't heard of it. Caused Miggy to get injured midway through 2013 and essentially played on 1 leg for the final 2 months of the season and the playoffs

    • @anonymike8280

      If it's part of the historical record, you don't need to pose riddles. I'm pretty good at searching and I was not able to quickly dig up the story. One former Tiger I can think of was his dad Cecil Fielder. Prince apparently distanced himself from his father. But I don't think that's who you are referring to. Just spill it.

    Please do a rise and fall of Andruw Jones. Another 50 HR guy who fell off of a cliff after that and was a completely different player.

    • @joebarr725
      @joebarr725 Před 8 měsíci +3

      Andruw Jones is the laziest player i have ever seen. Non-speedsters like Paul LoDuca and Brad Hawpe took an extra base when Jones played their routine singles lackadaisically, with the submarine flip back toward the infield not even getting near 2nd base ahead of the runner. Then, when the Braves had finally had enough of him at age 30, he signed with the Dodgers and showed up to spring training very fat. When asked about his weight, he laughed it off. He was told that the fans might not appreciate their team's big free agent showing up so out of shape, so he said he didn't care what the fans thought. If he was such a great player, why did very smart baseball guys like John Scheurholz and Bobby Cox let him walk out the door as a free agent in the prime of his career? I can't believe there are people who want to put Andruw Jones in the Hall of Fame.

    Prince’s best season is 2009. Then his power decline brutally. In 2011, he hits 38 homers. Then hits just 30 homers in 2012 despite career high batting average of .313. Then he never hits 30 homers again. 2013 he was mediocre but healthy. 2014 a tragic season of surgery. Happily he made a great comeback in 2015. Hit over .300 the second time of his career but only 23 homers. But still happy to see him winning comeback of the year. Then in 2016 he had a career ending injury😢.

    While this was a sad ending for prince, he made plenty of money to take care of his family. Milwaukee never had a prayer of keeping him. And to this day Milwaukee will always lose the best ones because there is no salary cap. When one team can pay 300 million in salary and others only 120 to 150 million, keeping good players isn't happening. So, I feel sorry for him to a point.
