Are you sure your target SSD can keep up?
I can fully transfer my SD card 3 times as fast (close to 300MB/s) and it will show a flat line, no dips, no slowing down, even when loading 200+GB of video or tons of pictures. That pergear thing should reach read speeds up to 1000MB/s. (1 GigaBYTE per second)
Note that many (cheaper) SSDs will drastically slow down as soon as their SLC cache is full, which can be anywhere between a few GB to about 100GB. Given the slow decrease in transfer speed, that is very likely what's happening at your transfers.
If you want faster transfers, get a fast SSD that can handle sustained writes, like a Samsung 980/990 **Pro** (the PRO, not the non-PRO, huge difference)
Can I be pedantic and point out that if Jupiter was visible from Earth in that way, our planet would be subjected to such alterations in rotational, gravitational and magnetic forces that seas, volcanoes and earthquakes would devastate the Earth and make it uninhabitable, no one would be picking flowers. I got this helios 44 lens. it's not radioactive but it is, in my opinion, way worse than it's reputation. I used it for video and photo, both digital and film on my fathers original Zenit E. I like the look but it is crap
