I’m with you Jay, at 55 these are perfect trails for me. My son who rides with me is 29 and goes faster and harder, but I’m always just trying to have fun and not get hurt. I don’t recover from get-offs like I used to. Thanks for the great vids!
You made some good points there I get so sick of riding with guys that always have to prove to everybody how fast they are I got all that out of my system when I was younger and racing trail riding is all about enjoying the ride and all the amazing scenery around you thanks Jay for sharing this with us.
Left moto 10 years ago. THIS is what I Live for. Great riding and scenery. Being with your kids is just icing on the cake....This was great addition to my morning Joe!
I usually don't like "ride-along" vids.. Most creators can't get the combination of narration, scenery & riding skills right for even a five min vid. Well done. As a long time off roader closing in on the big 6-0, your riding preferences are exactly like mine. Gotta take it easy, no hard enduro bullshit, gotta go to work Monday. Your little fall in the creek easily could have been a major hand or wrist injuriy. We have learned that if every ride ends with a hospital visit, it's all for nothing. Enjoy!
Loved your video. It is hard to explain how much goes into being a competent rider. I’m over sixty and still find it challenging even though I’ve been riding my whole life. The 2020 KTM 300 XC TPI is what I ride it’s a game changer.
Great video! I'm 51 now, but still seek out the harder technical stuff. I've got no desire to be the fastest guy out there though. It's a nice change of pace to hit up some fun flowy singletrack once in a while though. Slow crashes are far better than fast ones!
kung flu comment made it. this was a great video for me as im about to take my 12yr old to the Bozeman area for a wedding in September. either bringing our bikes or renting and starting to plan our rides out.
It’s funny that around the 19 minute mark, you mentioned how they aren’t very many trails around there. But Colorado has a lifetime worth. Meanwhile, you guys drove right past some of the most epic single track in the world as you went through Idaho. Lol and a literal lifetimeworth of trails that you completely missed.
Nice vid 👍🏻 ... stay humble bud, some people act like if they take a spill is the end of the world🤯, like is not suppose to happen 🤷🏻♂️ then the crazy long list of “explanations” of excuses why they fell🤦🏻♂️

Glad you like it-
Why do we ride? World's longest Roller Coaster Ride with scenery included, That's why. Very nice trail, Thanks.

I didn’t know you packed a pair of dry gloves- smart tip. Pretty area.
I miss Montana we use to go down every year before the covid! Nice riding love the vids🤙
We go during COVID :-)
Maybe when they open the border again we usually camp at koocanusa
Nice flowy trails. At 59 I can enjoy this but still hang with the youngsters in the gnarly stuff.
Fabulous video. I want to ride Montana so bad this year!!!
Great cooling opportunity 😂😂
Thanks awesome....thanks for that. Enduro is the best way to explore!

So glad to hear you like the video and that is a great bike- -300XC is great. Keep on riding!
Enjoyable video, both the scenery and dialog. Being 57, I would have had to sit a portion of the 5 hours of riding. 👍
I sit more than I used to but get up for well more than half it-- and all the tough stuff.
Nice riding Jay very nice country
Thank you!!

For sure-- Keep riding while we still can.
Great video, Jay!! Looks like so much fun!!!
Great Vid J, Beautiful country, Nice Horse!
Glad you enjoyed it
If I were ET, I could say HOME!!! Actually I live one valley to the West. These trails don't open to dirt bikes till mid to late July
Can you show us more trails next season? Email me off my site or the about on my channel-- Thanks!
good to know in butte and I definitely want to come ride this trail
So good thanks
No problem
That trail kicks butt! Single track is for viewing...not going fast on, you want to go fast...go to a desert race or MX track!
Looking to ride here soon and was wondering where did you park? I’ve downloaded the map and wondering if you have any suggestions? Thanks
Email me --
I am in the same situation and ride for fun, it is not a race ! Enjoy the ride and...ride another day. Enjoy your videos
Stoked to hear it-- Keep on ridin.
I absolutely loved watching this...How happy are you with the Avenza App? There are so many Trail/GPS options out there now.

did Kennedy meadows for the first time on Thursday rode my drz 400.
Hope you enjoyed Montana 👍
I did!
Hey, don't be giving out all our good secrets!
Sorry :-)
Let’s do it again next year. We’ll explore some new backcountry.
Yes, this trail looks great for my 60 year old body. Where in Montana is this trail?
By Big Sky MT- west yellowstone - email us we are going to put a ride together this summer if all goes well.
Jay, can you share where you were riding and the campground/trail head?
I just added some notes to the desription and that Avenza map links--
Will be there for June, any company you recommend for taking a dirt bike tour? Thanks
Want to check on dates the trails open. Email me for more info! Contact info in About tab.
May I ask I live in montana and where were you riding in this video
Email Jay! Can't tell everyone about it. Contact info in About tab.
I wish the people I rode with. Rode easy trails like that.
You sound low on wind, little altitude effect situation!

HAHA -- It happens to everyone -- I am doing way better at staying up as I get older and slow down.
Shoulda' edited crick crash out - hurts your dirt cred. Humble but Squidly.
