The not so subtle victim blaming is amazing. “Just don’t get raped??” ....”Just stay away from him?” We aren’t going to do anything about HIM but best we can do is tell YOU to stay away from him. What the actual fuck.
That's what colleges do! They encourage victims not to go to the police, but go through some kind of forum, where the perpetrators are rarely punished (and then by expulsion or suspension, not criminal charges!)

I feel so lucky to go to the college that I go to. At my college, if a sexual assault or harassment incident is reported, they send out an alert to all students about where it occurred, and around what time. Additionally, they always go to the police to investigate.

Actually Washington’s first mission was to deliver a message to the French. The Lt Governor Robert Dinwiddie sent him at 21 years old along with a translator named Jacob van Braam and a guide named Christopher Gist. All three of which delivered the message and survived. It’s called Washington’s 1753 Allegheny Expedition if you would like to know more about it. It’s very interesting they traveled over 900 miles in two and a half months during the winter

Look at former US Chief of Staff and Cawthorn’s mentor-Mark Meadows-who lied about his own education. Meadows claimed a bachelor’s degree but only had enough coursework from the University of South Florida and FSU to add up to a 2 year associate’s degree.
That and being a CEO, they can bankrupt a company and still get a job.

But then he got laughed out of court with no money because he admitted to and I quote " swapping seats with his friend. Whilst the car was in motion on the highway " and although that wasnt why they crash onto the side of the road , it still proved they were reckless and got the case thrown out .

Learning all these details about Cawthorne made me sick to my stomach. Gerrymandering is allowing right wing extremists like Cawthorne, Taylor-Green and Boebert to be easily elected to Congress. It's a scary time to be a member of the House.

Cawthorn is a rolling embarrassment to anyone who has had a traumatic spinal cord injury or is a Paralympian. I have spent the last 43 years working with Paralympian athletes and teaching in higher education. This guy would not last a week in our program where the combination of academic and athletic results count. It is not what you say, it is what you do, especially away from the camera. As I person who is 45 years post SCI, I find this guy unacceptable as a representative of the people. Hopefully North Carolina realizes their mistake and this guy is not reelected.

The unwritten code amongst these student-athletes was that they should never use their disability to allow them free access to anything in the able-bodied world. It was fascinating to watch the way we policed each other. Cawthorn got elected on lies about his accident, athletic skill and education. He was voted in on nothing but lies.

Thank you for your work. Both my siblings have TBI's, my sister has been wheelchair bound and severely mentally handicapped since 2002. People freak out when they learn, and always ask questions to the effect of why we as a family don't take bigger advantage of their disabilities. They also often ask who's fault the accident was. I understand people not understanding, but it rubs me the wrong way sometimes. It's good to hear we're not crazy.
I'll also say that though my sister in particular can't participate in any serious sports, it always means the world to her to see people like her do things excellently, especially when they get to represent our country doing so.

The last thing my 60 year old parents needed was for their big and strong 21 year old son to become a paraplegic. All seven of my sibling were there to help me pick up the pieces of my life. Why don't you read some history and see that it it the Democratic party that was the inspiration for Mussolini and Hitler? So much of the Nazi ideology came from how Hitler read about Democratic party and their big progressive government policies and thought it would be a great cornerstone on which to base his ideology and leadership. Mussolini and FDR were pen pals. Not much has changed since then. The Democrats are acting way closer to the Nazi party than the GOP with their constant push for bigger government and more power to interfere and control American life. HR1 bill to be the biggest government power grab since FDR's New Deal. It's extremely fascistic. Republicans today stand for one thing only: their continued hold onto power. They can’t win with their current policies, because the majority of Americans are against those policies.
Any rational political party would shift their policies to attract more voters, but they refuse. Instead, they are trying to prevent people from voting, and the methods they are using disproportionately affect minorities. When confronted by this, they regurgitate lies about illegals voting. They have now gone on record in the Supreme Court saying that they have to prevent people voting to maintain a competitive edge.
They are the party that wants the freedom to discriminate against others. They are the party that defends police who kill people, especially minorities, in completely illegal ways and are happy when they don’t get hold accountable.
Face facts. The GOP of today would be in lockstep behind Hitler if he was trying to exterminate any other minority ethnic group.
It's true Roosevelt admired and even gave an endorsement to Mussolini, Roosevelt wrote letters to him expressing all those things and he wanted to have a meeting with him, too. There aren't only 2 extremes to everything, life and people don't work that way. What's certain one of things that inspired Hitler came from USA, the eugenic movement, laws put in place, plans and views that existed in USA back in the early 20th century, even Hitler wrote letters showing admiration for what they were doing. It's a wishful thought to blame the side one doesn't like, but, that was a problem of the society.
