    DIY Double Circle Skirt/Gown | Full Flare Umbrella Gown Cutting and Stitching.If I can do it ..you can do it too :) Fabric/Cloth - 8 meters required. Below are the steps to make this skirt.
    Step 1: Fold your fabric/cloth in four folds length wise as shown in the video
    Step 2: On one side along the length of the cloth, mark the center.
    Step 3: From the center point, mark your waist radius on the left side, then down, and all the way to the right side in the form of semi circle as shown in the video.
    Waist Radius = Waist / 12.56 = 28/12.56 = 2.3 inches.
    Step 4: From the Waist point mark the length of your skirt on the left side, then down, and all the way to the right side in the form of a semi-circle as shown in the video. (please see video for Steps 3 & 4 as it is easily understandable in the video)
    Step 5: Cut along the markings. We will have 4 semi-circles since the fabric is on 4 folds.
    4 semi-circles = 2 circles (double circular)
    Step 6: Put two semi-circle such that they form a full circle. Stitch on one of the full circle, leaving other side open. This will be your front side skirt. Do the same with other 2 semi-circle pieces. This will be your back side skirt.

    Supero super Mam..... God bless you... My grandchild will live this😂 One thing I adore about you is that you are very meticulous , flawless and give perfect instructions which even a child can follow. I have been following sooooo many sewing videos in CZcams, both Indian and foreign (because I have three girls.. aged nine , elevan and thirteen years and I live to dress them up😂😂). Yours is one of the best two I have seen so far. Neatly handling the fabric, meticulously measuring and above all demonstrating the complete project. The other Indian lady from Stalk my closet is also very meticulous and perfect demonstrator like you. 👏👏👏👏😍😍

  • @DesireWithTamanna
    @DesireWithTamanna Před 2 lety +3

    Dii, there was a problem that occurs in this type of full flare, specially while making it with synthetic fabric,
    Bcoz of the bias-ness of circle, after wearing the dress it goes uneven in length.
    Infact, the cutting of the circle is all perfect as per even measurement of radius but in georgette, and shifon fabric it is not good ☹️
    Plz tell me the solution 😣

    • @SriSree
      @SriSree  Před 2 lety +4

      Hi 😊. correct, with cotton its good but with georgette and chiffon fabrics - you would get uneven ghera. That's because fabrics like georgette and chiffon leave fabric and become uneven. Solution to fix this is - after you cut the circles - pin them up on a hangar and leave to hang for 24 hrs or over night, by morning you will see the unevenness. then take it and fold in half neatly along the waist line, again do one more fold along the waistline, now cut the uneven fabric in the bottom and make it even. now you can stitch the edges. This way, it wont be uneven anymore 😊
      Hope this helps and clears your question. Thank you 😊. You can follow the same on finished kurtis too (but be very carefull when trimming the fabric so you wont end up cutting more).

    Hello madam i tried it with shiffon saree every thing came nice but down flare height was un even disappointed can you please shoe with jorget material

    • @SriSree
      @SriSree  Před 3 lety +3

      Hi. Happy you tried it and it came out nice. Don't worry about the flair height being uneven, it is common with chiffon and georgette materials. they leave/stretch. For Chiffon/Georgette, after you cut umbrella shape on the saree, you need to clip both skirt pieces to a hanger and let it hang for 24 hours. Next day, you bring it down and fold neatly along waistline 2/3 times without any folds. then trim uneven parts very carefully. this will fix the uneven flair height on georgette/chiffon. You can do the same on final stitched kurti too. I will surely make one video soon with Georgette material.

      hi. Thank you. Skirt measurement keela parunga.
      Example kaha, Waist = 28 inch. We are making Circle Skirt so we need to calculate radius of the circle.
      Radius = Waist Divided by 12.56
      For 2 circle or double circle skirt -> divide waist by 12.56
      For 1 circle or single circle skirt -> divide waist by 6.28
      Radius = 28/12.56 = 2.23

    • @SriSree
      @SriSree  Před 2 lety +1

      @@payalsahu98 Hi If you have a lehenga thats loose around waist: you canfix it in two ways.1) You can add two small pleats on the waist line near sides -on waist line,make a small fold inside and stitch over it making a pleat. This will reduce waist size. 2) if waist is too much loose, then you can simply add a lace that you can tie around your waist. Put a small
      hole on the center of front waist, and insert a lace into it with a pin and you can tie it around your waist. you can also add two latkans on the open end of the lace. 3) Another method is you can insert elastic on sides or along the full length of waist. Same, make a small hole inser the elastic, and stitch over it.

    • @payalsahu98
      @payalsahu98 Před 2 lety

      If I attach lace then it'll gather on the waist and it will look bulky same with elastic

    • @SriSree
      @SriSree  Před 2 lety +1

      @@payalsahu98 true, lace/elastic will cause gathers along the waist line. Pleat would be the best option. On the sides of the waist line, slightly fold inward and make a top stitch. or if you dont want that, you can remove stitches on one side of the waist down to about 3 or 4 inches and then stitch it back folding more cloth inside, in this method you wont see any pleat, or bunching up along the waist line, would get neat finish and sizing.

    • @SriSree
      @SriSree  Před 3 lety +1

      Hi 😊 No problem, I will try and explain. Read this and please try watching the video again. It will be clear to you. Thank you.
      Fabric/Cloth - 8 meters required.
      Please let me know if you still have any questions.
