Who's Sheikh Said Rageah?

Sheikh Saeed Rageah was born in Somalia, raised in Saudi Arabia and in the late 80s found his way to North America. He is married and has four daughters and two sons. He enjoys spending quality time with his family.
He holds a B.A in Islamic studies as well as a Masters in Shari'ah from the Institute of Islamic and Arabic Sciences in Fairfax, Virginia. Over the years, he has held several posts including founder of Masjid Huda in Montreal, Masjid Aya in Maryland, Muslim Youth magazine and the Aqsa Association.
After serving as an imam in Maryland and Calgary, Saeed moved to Toronto with his family and when he is not discharging his various duties at the Masjid, he travels the globe extensively as a lecturer.
Sheikh Saeed recently moved to Toronto with his family and is currently serving as an Imam at Abu Huraira Islamic Center. He teaches and travels for Al-Maghrib Institute and he also holds the post of Chairman for the Journey of Faith conference.

True, I live in Europe. When ramadan month is approach every other Muslim community come to Somali Masajid to find hufath youth to lead the Traweeh for them.

The first african community in UK was Somali. Besides a few servants, the south asian community mainly came afterwards

The Sheikh is simply saying what the ummah non Somli’s is saying, the undesputed facts and he’s saying that because he wants to encourage our youngsters that live away from home and think they can’t achieve that taqwa.

Folks we are back to the stage of Jahiliyah.
I used to love listening to this man until he said foul things towards Black Americans. He said we dont know our fathers which is s fallacy. We also know that if it wasn't for Black Americans pressuring the government to allow you to leave your war torn country, there would be no Somali community in the US. You better put some respect on our name. And you had the nerve to say these things in the Masjid.
It’s a shame you had to bring up something Shaykh apologized for already. As a Somali, I know we have our problems but Alhamdulillah we have kept our hijab on for the majority of us and we have dedicated our life to the Quran. Many African American speakers have said things that disgusted me but I chose to ignore it and focus on the good they bring. Most recent being Brother Hanif, Shaykha Khalid Yasin, Shaykh Shaheed.. I can keep going. Dr. Omar Suleiman has done things I believe it’s straight up shirk, but I never canceled him for that. He’s human, he made a mistake. Take the good and leave the bad.
Many Somalis in Somalia and Europe follow Suufi Tareeqa and ibn arabis doctrines. Dawah is mostly needed in many Muslim majority countries.

@@elitegamer5503 listen Somalis are historically + Currently Majority Ahlu Sunna Wal Jama'ah. They follow Shafi'i Mathab and Ash'ari Creed just like Salahudin Al Ayubi and many more righteous islamic Leaders and scholars.
What your saying "some of them believe xyz" is irrelevant and we can only go by the consensus. If i was to say some "salafis" believe in khariji beliefs and anthropomorphic corruptions then some would say not all of them are like is_is_ etc.. therefore reserve any judgment due to your potential sectarian dispositions.
Somalis are known for their Hafids and brave Ulama. Islam was excepted by them peacefully during Hijra Ulaa - a time the Prophet (S.A.W) was alive before capture of Madina. You can read more about the early Muslims pilgrimage to King Najashi of Aksum (today considered northern Ethiopia)

Majority of the munafiqun from this ummah will be the qura (Musnad Ahmad, Saheeh). I found that to make up for a skin color insecurity, they tend to make that up by showing how many hufad they have or how much somalis they can make as Imam.
He repeated multiple times,that he wasn't bragging,it's an observation and a correct one,he never said we are perfect, you're only offended because he's Somali himself,but other Muslims have pointed this observation out. Take a deep breath brother and calm down.
