I have to correct you. the best upgrade for the bug is obviously the CPU yes... but it is not a 13th gen Intel or a Ryzen 7000... he has am4 currently so the best option is to go for a 5600x or a 5800x3d
I do agree with your input most of the time, but this video ain't it. He does NOT need to get a next gen CPU which would swap out his whole mobo. He can easily upgrade to a 5800x3D and it still throws down against something like a 7600.
Hahaha I built my younger sibling with similar specs but I gave her rx 6700 xt over that gtx 750 ti in e-sports titles 240 fps is possible and also I gave her a 2560x1440p 165hz monitor over this holidays technically it's only 165 fps but mostly she games and gets beyond 165 fps ij e-sport titles pro preset on 1440p mix of performance mode.
Both are still quite good, but to upgrade your cpu you would need a new motherboard, since 12th gen to 14th gen uses a new socket, but i would say wait for intel 15th gen if you want intel, so probably don’t upgrade anything, however the 11400f is still ok to use something like a 3070 or a 4060.
The 5600 is faster in most cases, and also has the possibility for upgrading to a 5800X3D in the future The 10400 can be upgraded to a 11900K technically but that's still slower and draws a lot of power and heat
Thats just not even remotely true, most people can easily tell the difference between 60 fps and 120 fps, and even if you can't it still improves responsiveness and latency of your game and monitor You can very easily see the difference between a 1080p screen and 4K screen on the standard 24-32" monitors, and the bigger the screen the more noticeable it becomes It literally improves visual fidelity and sharpness to such a great extent even if you don't see the individual pixels of a 1080p display
Bro upgrade the CPU to a Ryzen 7 5700x or 5800x3D instead of a whole new motherboard.
Thats exactly what i did and it was an insane improvement without changing motherboard
Exactly.

Agreed, am4 is not yet a dead platform and has alot of cpus that will be beasts at 1080p
Personally I would upgrade that to a 5600
5600x3d
5800x3d if they are playing 1080p
i feel like game companies work with hardware companies, each gen

Ryzen 5 5600 or intel i5 10400 ?

The 10400 can be upgraded to a 11900K technically but that's still slower and draws a lot of power and heat
5600 is the equivalent to a 12400 so obviously get the 5600, it is two i5 gens faster than the 10400 and has a much better upgrade path
Most eyes can't notice anything over 1080p at 60fps. The fact that everybody wants 4k at 240fps is ridiculous.
not true like at all the jump from 60 to even 120 is VERY noticeable

Tell me you do not have over a 60 Hz monitor without telling me.
Do you even have a 120hz+ monitor? Maybe you have but you forgot to turn on high refresh rate in Nvidia/AMD/Windows settings?
Lol this is the biggest cap.
