Wonderful! And finally for me is the fact that the lyrics and the emotions in the words fit perfectly with every part of the music. And those emotions feel very authentic. For me that makes the difference between good artists and (natural talented) topartists. You hear (and feel) their soul in every word they sing.

That’s true! The song supported the lyrics and emotions in every way ❤️‍🔥

Very nice analysis! As you mentioned, this song throws so much at you that it's impossible to take in everything the 1st time; my ears pick up something new each time I listen! For example, I love that background of pizzicato strings during the rap section, which helps to highlight the frantic upbeat tempo while establishing the chords & chord progression. Just a very unique, well-constructed composition - not to mention the performance!

Wow, that’s some ears you have 👏 yes, in this song there are a lot of “hidden” components that work amazingly for the overall idea 👍

interesting analysis but doesnt really explain how The Code manages to beat 24 other songs and gather most number of points to win Eurovision. There are many other good vocalists and songs in the contest. Reasons for the win in my opinion:
    1) (Major major reason) Staging - the idea is "simple", but the execution is flawless. Every aspect, from camera angles to lighting is intricately planned out. Watching the performance is like a theatrical experience and the staging perfectly fits the meaning of the song. Without this staging, the song would not have over 200 points in the televote.
    2) Timing/Momentum - Rim Tim Taga Dim was the hot favourite to win all eurovision season and (un-strategically) chose to not change much from the national finals. the staging for The code was only revealed in full in semi final 2 and had buzz/momentum going into the finals.
    3) Authenticity - Nemo is singing their story that is uniquely theirs and you can feel it watching the performance.
    4) Likeability/Effort - The song, however impressive, may not be to everyone's taste, but Nemo comes across as very likeable, sincere and is trying very hard.

Thank you so much for going into so many details on the performance!👏 I agree with you in all the points! I guess my aim was to look at the song more from a songwriter/music producer’s point of view, as it’s my profession and it’s something I understand a lot about)) so I could for sure have missed some more global factors, so thanks for pointing them out ❤️‍🔥

At last, I needed some time to find the analyse that emphasize the mind blowing construction of this masterwork. Yes it takes you by the hands and from surprise to surprise leads you to the end. But surprises are easy done. Whats amazing here, each surprise makes sens. Is a new brick in the wall (story) thats beeing constructed. Professional jurys just couldn't ignore this song. No surprise that it won so many 12 points, and no surprise that there are so many comments and analyses on youtube. Because that's probably a record too. Not to mention that there are generaly very positiv. And now they are multipling on the orchestral version, that is smashing as well.

did you notice the similarity in it's string section to sam smith's james bond soundtrack ?? and also in it's rythm section to matrix's iconic rythm's only sped up a bit,
not 100% similarity but clearly identifiable 🤔🦝

Great analysis from someone who knows music, thank you very much ❤!!!
But why did you leave out the katharsis, when Nemo goes really high before the last chorus? For me it‘s THE most surprising part of the whole song. Thanks for answering🙏🏼

I am from France and I also hope a reaction for mon amour by Slimane. A lot of my French people still don't understand why slimane didn't win with that wonderful song and performance by Silimane. I also love Hurricane from Israel.. For me, it was one of the best song. Still don't understand why the jury didn't give more point to that song! 🤷🏼‍♂️🎶

Thank you for the idea! ❤️ in my opinion his performance was really strong vocally and dramatically, but maybe it didn’t have enough “show” element to get more points and win( people are hungry for the entertainment and emotions nowadays, so even though the song and the singer were great it could just not be his format. I’m sure he’s got a lot of fans who will appreciate his talent though!

Can you analize “Rim Tim Tagi Dim” by Baby Lasagna? Public liked it the most, it would be interesting to know why.

irritating song as well as the artist Nemo, the jury destroyed the Eurosong for the third year in a row, the number of participating countries is decreasing, I'm afraid it's slowly going towards shutting it down😮

    • @mysticgirl916
      @mysticgirl916 Před 2 dny

Third year in a row? In the last 8 contests, 3 overall winners came from the public vote (Israel 2018, Italy 2021 and Ukraine 2022), 2 came from the jury vote (Sweden 2023 and Switzerland 2024), 1 won both sides (Portugal 2017) and 2 were "compromise winners", winning neither side but placing well enough to get enough total points to win (Ukraine 2016 and Netherlands 2019). The jury winners in 2016, 2018, 2019, 2021 and 2022 did not win overall (2 overall 2nd [Australia 2016 and UK 2022], 2 overall 3rd [Austria 2018 and Switzerland 2021] and 1 overall 7th [North Macedonia 2019])

Bohemian rhapsody is what it tries to be like, but fails miserably.
I'm a music producer for all kinds of styles, one thing they all have in common and that is the structure. It's ubiquitous and the #1 rule mandatory for writing compositions using even numbered timing signatures. All the tempo changes leave the audience unable to physically and verbally show support.
My diagnosis of the incoherent sum total is aspergers with ADD.
Are we supposed to dance, sing along or watch in awe of his performance? Nemo is probably a very nice 'guy?' and don't belittle his performance because you could feel and see the artificial construct (Nemo binary feels the same) pandering to the most powerful and influential ESC voting block, the gays. And swaying the jury of so-called music business 'professionals' further showing the corrupt- abilities and what's behind the facade of paradise.
    Just follow the money.
One more thing, +90% of all the Italian votes went to Israel. Really? Ask yourself, to what end and possible purpose(s). Think about justification and saving face. Who fits that description? So it's all part of the game, the ESC feigns impartiality responding with a barrage of empty catchphrases.
    Now, you.
