I think it just works much better because of Minato and Kushinas personalities. Minato is an introverted quiet genius and Kushina is an extroverted passionate hot head. It's watching two individuals positively influence each other to bring out the best. And grow from childhood affection into a perfect family and marridge. If they didn't die they'd propably be the best parents in the show feat. Grandpa Jiraya and uncle Kakashi who booth had close ties to Minato and Kushina. Naruto is a hot headed idiot who even in Shippuden has no clue of love. He is more obsessed with Sasuke then anyone else wich would make you question if their kiss was more then comedy.. Hinata just... exsists as timid shy love interest obsessed with him since day 1. Zero buildup or actual growth. We even saw how Kushina and Minato needed alot of time and buildup to even really grow close. Hinata swooning over Naruto just eisting felt extremely unnatural.
@@TrafalgarWaterDLaw-dl5cm great post, agree with all of it. We in the fandom joke about Naruto/Sasuke being the main couple but the whole plot is deadass a platonic lovestory

yep, in the anime, Hinata was trying to earn her father's approval. She wanted to prove to him that she could be a strong ninja and that she was worthy of being the heir to the Hyuga clan. Hinata's father, Hiashi Hyuga, was a very strict and demanding man. He wanted Hinata to be the perfect ninja, and he was not easily pleased. As a result, Hinata often felt like she was never good enough. However, Hinata never gave up. She continued to train hard and to improve her skills. She also continued to try to earn her father's approval. Eventually, Hinata's hard work paid off. She became a skilled ninja, and she earned her father's respect. In the end, Hinata became the head of the Hyuga clan, and she led the clan into a new era of peace and prosperity. It's unclear what happened to Hinata's desire to earn her father's approval in the manga. However, it is possible that she simply grew out of it. As she got older and more mature, she realized that she didn't need her father's approval to be happy. She was a strong and independent woman, and she was proud of who she was. It is also possible that Hinata's desire to earn her father's approval was simply not as important to her in the manga. In the manga, Hinata was more focused on helping Naruto and on protecting her friends and family. She didn't have as much time or energy to worry about what her father thought of her. Whatever the reason, it is clear that Hinata is a complex and well-developed character. She is a strong and independent woman who is not afraid to stand up for what she believes in. She is also a loving and caring friend and family member.
Sakura Haruno was a supporting character placed into a main character role. Hinata Hyuga is a side character from the very beginning. Sakura got her handful of moments because Kishimoto had to give it to her since she was the main female character. He didn't need to give Hinata anything but establish her as Naruto's future passive wife. Girls are not treated well in this franchise.
Yep. The most interesting one Tsunade just serves as Sakuras teacher who becomes an exsact copy just..better for no reason? Tsunade as s direct descendant of Hashirama himself is born with a Senju body and giant life force and chakra pool. Her grandmother was a Uzumaki of the leading family who provides even more chakra and life force. The Hatunos are just a random family. But somehow Tsunade has none of that ever really acknowledged. And Sakura surpasses her despite having neither of this. As every Uchiha we meet in the story ALWAYS has that eyes and potential of the clan. Even Sarada as half Uchiha isnt limited with a tainted Sharingan or anything. But apparantly Kishi forgot about their counterpart the Senju who got Hagoromos demi god bodies and chakra.
Lol, I'd be more specific and say anyone without ties to the Uchiha or senju isn't treated well. Naruto Shippuden should be dubbed Naruto Uchiha to be honest. They completely forgot all the side characters , lee, tenten, neji, shino, temari, kankarou ,kurenai, Asuma, to name a few
@@t-masterrules5085 I wouldn's say that. Charakters such as Minato, The Raikage, Bee, Gai etc.exsist. He just put to much focus on Naruto and Sasuke. And gave them to much birthright stuff. And not enough hard work.
@@TrafalgarWaterDLaw-dl5cm so for once in Naruto genes and bloodline is not everything that matters in the path of success of someone and that is supposed to be a bad thing?
I actually really respect you for having the balls to say this. Hinata is very beloved, so it’s quite unpopular to criticise her in the fandom. She’s a shy, moe, submissive girl, and I know that people love those ‘waifu’ type characters, and her endless support and love of Naruto is endearing to a lot of fans. It’s understandable why people like her, but she has so many unacknowledged writing flaws of hers that I’m glad you brought to light. I get some people hate Sakura and love Hinata, but the double standard you see in the fandom is crazy. People say Sakura’s character revolves solely around her love interest when Hinata is clearly a more accurate example of this. People praise Hinata endlessly for standing up against Pain, an enemy far stronger than her, to protect the man she loves whilst Sakura already did the same thing against Gaara in part 1 which goes pretty much unacknowledged. Sakura has far more feats and accomplishments than Hinata, yet it’s Sakura that’s called useless. It’s true that Sakura is a main character whilst Hinata is a side character, so it makes sense for Sakura to have more, but when Hinata does show up… she barely does anything. In The Last movie, the movie where she’s suppose to be the heroine, Sakura somehow manages to do just as much as her. Hinata has the role of damsel the whole time.
Tsunade is also a side character and Tsunade did a lot more things than Hinata. Hinata has accomplished nothing in the entire series other than saying "Naruto-Kun" or failing to protect him.
Exactly bro Sakura was a shinobi and Sasuke's partner Hinata was just Naruto's wife And there's nothing wrong in that not everyone has to be an important character. It becomes shitty when people prefer her over Sakura
My issue with Hinata is that in Boruto, she’s NARUTOS WIFE and THEN Boruto and Himawaris mom. She doesn’t have a life outside of that besides tagging along with Ino and Sakura sometimes. What about Kurenai? Wasn’t she the closest thing Hinata had to a parent for a while? Why is she not even involved in the life of her senseis kid? Shikamaru was. What about Shino and Kiba? Sure, they are busy, but because SHE isn’t, she should be able to make some plans with them. Sakura runs a children’s mental health clinic, is a medic, still trains herself and Sarada, and still manages to find time to hang out with Ino. Ino helps out with the mental health clinic, is also still a medic, took over from her father, trains her son, and still finds time to hang out. Hinata doesn’t even train her own kids it seems, Hanabi seemed to take over that aspect
Well Hinata is the only mother to train her children. Sakura training Sarada is filler. Sakura isn't an active ninja anymore and hasn't been going on misson for 10+years and her fight with shin was much shorter and she isn't as fast as sp potrayed her to be in the anime but hinata was seen going on a mission with her father in the parent and child day novel and she had a fight with hanabi her sister who is an active jonin and trains everyday and she one shotted her. and Sakura and Ino are best friends they went out on vacations and went on cafe and other places with each other so clearly sakura has free time + Hinata has 2 children where everybody else has one and boruto at first was a brat but later developed into the most mature kid of the series and himawari is the most well behaved kid in the verse and hinata spends almost all of time with her. Sarada often spends time alone and had suspensions that sakura wasn't her mother and ran away from her home to comfirm that she also said bad things to her mother and inojin is the rudest new gen character and he definitely isn't as good as boruto or himawari. So Hinata is the best mother she still goes on missions and hangs out with her friends and family and she worked with orochimaru in naruto retsuden
Hehe good jokes there are hinata training her kids ? Then why there is no scenes of it Hinata going on missions ? I think she's still chunin and gave up on shjnobi after marrying and having kids Best mom ? May be still boruto acted shitty. Boruto set right because he saw naruros true strength and thoughts Sarada hates sakura ? Nah she said mean things because of angry on sasuke not on her mom Sakura ino have free time more than hinata ? Nope I never saw hinata doing another work except cooking cleaning kids and staying home Sakura is head of konoha medical department she's the director of many hospitals she takes care of sarada Sakura opened many child health care hospitals she also trains herself is the best medic in the world still hangouts with ino and maintains good relationship with her teammates and friends one eg is sarada knows who shizune is and she knows many people related to her mom and then there is himawari who doesn't even know Kiba who is her mother's teammate I really question does hinata have a life outside naruto and her kids and that four walled house Sakura has a life outside rather than just staying with sasuke and having sarada she's an amazing Kate level shinobi And I think sasusaku couple has maturity and understanding and teamwork among them we can it when fight with shin uchiha Sakura and sasuke didn't meet for almost 7 to 8 years but still had teamwork and understanding its like sasuke saying my wife's not weak and sakura telling aarada that smth like this is not enough to defeat her papa and even though they don't spend much time together uchiha family actually understands each other so well like sasuke being concerned about how to be with sarada and asking Sakura and Sakura gives him advices about it all naruto did was to feel bad that he can't spend time with boruto and himawari and then hinata is like don't worry they understand like a 34 year old should understand or a 12 years old should ? I feel hinata kept naruto before her kids always even after mom's momoshiki defeat and all people comes back she first hugged naruto and then boruto its like she worries about naruto more than boruto and at same scene Sakura and sarada together hug sasuke as a family that looked more warm and sakura always put sarada before sasuke because its obvious sasuke is stronger and won't get easily defeated and sarada is just a kid she need more attention even they were not together uchiha family has great chemistry among them and naruto family in the starting was always dumb bonding like for hinata whatever naruto does is right even ignoring his kids for work she should have taught boruto more than hating his fathed

I'm glad you said. It wasn't just her... it was the Konoha 11 as a whole. In the War Arc, when Naruto gave them Kuubi cloak, that was their moment, but it was wasted.
Hinata was easily one of my most favorite characters in the first series. In the second one she became entirely invisible, only to appear on the screen here and there and reminds us how much she adores Naruto because that's her main role, to be Naruto's love interest and that's it.
@notyourdaddude1957 Problem is the part 2 really screwed up a ton of Naruto. Part 2 had group moments and some good story, but it messed up many of the characters. Sakura and Sasuke, power wise, had the biggest glow up.
Another reason why I'm not that Dygo's weird choice of pairing Ino with Chouji, though pairing two of the members of InoShikaCho feels like crossing the streams. At least there's no Inojin in his version, hopefully there's no Shikadai either.
Temari and Shikamaru are still the most realistic couple beside Mimato and Kushina. They were compatable since they first met amd fought. Very likeminded, very impressed of each other in their ways. But never rushed to have romantic feelings. You see them slowly grt there meeting after meeting. Having actual dates too. Sasuke ignoring and almost killing Sakura, sakura even telling Naruto to give up trying to get him back. Saduke always treating her like trash... but oh no.. they get together anyway. Haha
Ngl, Choji and Karui is kinda cute. I'm not mad at Sarada and Chocho's friendship. Sasuke didn't have friends I like that Sarada subverts that. Chocho is slightly like Ino, but unlike her and Sakura, Sarada and Chocho's friendship is more genuine.
IIRC Sakura is a stand-in for his wife and his wife thought it was sus that he didn’t make Naruto (a stand-in for himself) end up with Sakura lol. So Kishi shitting on Sakura might be just Kishi channeling any bad vibes that come up in his marriage in a way that doesn’t hurt the relationship.

I think that a big reason people like Hinata, and her being with Naruto, is her role in the year of filler. Whenever she was in Naruto's randomized party she was competent, cute, worked well with him when she had to get serious, and was always trying to improve herself to the point she made it into the unofficial Leeist party. Manga Hinata does none of that, and I mean NONE. Nobody that only reads the manga will like Hinata unless they have a hardon for frumpy girls that are obviously beautiful at a glance.
The studio had a massive hard on for hinata. And it was the pressure from the staff and the NH fanbase that pressurised kishi to ship NH. And thus the god forsaken movie called The Last.
I agree that the anime did a much better job of developing Hinata's character than the manga did. In the anime, Hinata is a competent and likable character who is always trying to improve herself. She is also shown to have a strong bond with Naruto, which makes their relationship more believable and believable. In the manga, on the other hand, Hinata is a much more underdeveloped character. She is often shy and timid, and she doesn't have much to say. She is also not shown to be as competent as she is in the anime. As a result, it is more difficult to understand why Naruto would be attracted to her. I think that the anime's portrayal of Hinata is much more realistic and believable. It is also more consistent with the overall tone of the Naruto story. After all, Naruto is a story about overcoming adversity and achieving your dreams. Hinata's journey from shy and timid girl to competent and confident ninja is a perfect example of this theme. I think that the anime did a great job of developing Hinata's character, and it is one of the reasons why she is so popular with fans.

I think the reason people prefer Hinata over Sakura is because unlike all the other characters, who think Naruto is a nuisance, constantly cheered him on despite all the hate that others gave him. That being said yeah that's basically all the depth to her character.
I don't believe even for one second Naruto and Hinata were planned as endgame, while Hinata liked him, he barely knew she existed until the chunin exams and he always showed attraction and deep care towards Sakura, throughout the whole manga. I think the feelings of the protagonist are more important than that of a small side character towards the protagonist.
They definitely weren’t planned. Although Kishimoto did an interview with Shonen Jump where he said he decided for them to get together early on, he gave other interviews earlier than this where he said he planned them from the middle. I think this contradiction as well as others show that Kishimoto didn’t have a plan at all, and you can see this as he had Naruto pine after Sakura the entire manga with zero romantic feelings for Hinata. The Last movie just retcons Naruto’s feelings to make naruhina more believable, which is a shame.

Let’s be honest, the reason people love Hinata is because she’s a submissive and subservient waifu that only exists to please you and has a sad sympathetic backstory with a shy personality to get you invested in her character that is never paid off. Once you look past all that, she’s an utterly one dimensional character who only exists to be in love with Naruto and does nothing else.

For all the Hinata simps who are Sakura haters calling her a useless fangirl… they tend to forget that Hinata is also a fangirl of Naruto. And if they deny it, then they have double standards, and thus act with hypocrisy. As a Sakura fan, I acknowledge that Sakura is a fangirl, but I also acknowledge and accept that she did more than that, especially after being on a team with Naruto… someone she professed she hated. Those 12 year old word choices no longer held true as Sakura spent time with Naruto. Hinata… didn’t get any development that actually stayed. Hinata got rare moments in Anime Filler, but they never carried over to the next canonical episode. If after Naruto settled things with Nagato, HINATA was the one who stood in front of the Villagers and welcomed Naruto home, with a hug and a smile, then MAYBE Naruto and Hinata being together would have weight. You can’t decide an endgame pairing but never give it natural continuous development. Hinata only had a small handful of individual moments that don’t really connect outside of a timeline, and certainly never built upon each other. Hell, the flashback scene in The Last directly contradicts the timeline, plus Hinata really doesn’t try to free herself, doesn’t try to get Hanabi’s eyes back. For all that the Hinata simps praise Hinata, it’s gotten to the level of praising participation by giving full marks with honors. Don’t bash Sakura for actually improving herself if Hinata doesn’t nearly get a fraction of those same developments with the amount of praise you give her. Just saying.

@nehaax_06 he didn't had any reason to love her back I mean she literally CONFESSED to him but he simply ignored her, kishimoto made the scene of sakura hugging naruto right after Hinata's confession which was CANON, he didn't gave a shit about Hinata cuz he never intended for NH, he had enough time to develop them properly but he didn't and focused more on NS development cuz it was THE intended couple. The only reason why Naruto ended up with Hinata is because of her popularity nothing more... it happened at the last minute 2 years after war in a movie or technically in a FILLER using a 5min gentjutsu forced and artificial like that just for FANSERVICE. And why would Sasuke love Sakura back ? He tried to kill her 2 times mistreated her in the middle of a war put her under a gentjutsu and literally said that he has no reason to love her or to be loved by her so why all of a sudden would he develop feelings for her ? she wasn't even by his side after he left Konoha for 3 years nor in Shippuden and even before he left the village Sasuke clearly considered her as a team-mate so why would he develop feelings for her after nothing was between them ? she's like a stranger to him.

When Hinata saved NAruto from Pain, I remember taking a second to remember that she liked Naruto cause, Naruto was never interested in her, I was reading weekly
yep, It's true that Naruto was never really interested in Hinata romantically until after the Pain arc. He had always seen her as a friend and teammate, but he never really thought of her in that way until she confessed her feelings to him and risked her life to save him. I think it's important to remember that Naruto was still a very young and immature boy at the time. He was also very focused on his goal of becoming Hokage and protecting the village. He didn't have a lot of time or energy to think about romantic relationships. But when Hinata saved him from Pain, it showed him how much she cared about him. It also made him realize that he had been taking her for granted. After that, he started to see her in a new light, and he eventually fell in love with her. So, it's not surprising that you might have forgotten that Hinata liked Naruto when she saved him from Pain. After all, Naruto hadn't really shown any interest in her up to that point. But it's a really important moment in their relationship, and it's one of the things that helped Naruto to realize that Hinata was the one for him.
Even in the real world, the amount of women who are interested in men who don't give 2 sh!ts about them is astounding. Women love mystery and not knowing where they stand with a man, that's why they love romances, dramas and reality TV. It feeds their emotions. That's something a woman will rarely admit or even understand about herself, but actions speak louder than words. And when a said man reciprocates that interest in her, a certain percentage of her attraction to him drops because it validates her knowing that she is "worthy of attaining him". So both Hinata and Sakura's obsession with Naruto & Sasuke respectively (who both chose to pursue their own goals over the love interest of the people who wanted them) makes 100% in the real world. Women are attracted to men who are driven to prioritize their own dreams and pursue them. Once the man makes the woman the focus...she starts to lose respect and attraction over time. Simple fact of life because it's biology
@@Suto_Ko In my opinion, Naruto wears his heart on his sleeve, if he thinks someone is cute or if he is attracted to someone he makes it clear. The instant he sees Haku, he blushes, comparing Sakura's prettiness to Haku's, Naruto is an open book when he likes someone, and is attracted to someone. And also Naruto does think about romantic relationships and dating quite frequently, from Chapter 3 in fact, the love triangle is included and becomes a prevelent part of Team 7's dynamic. Even in shippuden, Naruto tells Sai that he don't feel as if he can confess to Sakura as he hasn't bought Sasuke back. To be honest, I really don't think Hinata's sacrifice is anything too memorable for Naruto. I mean shippuden is littered with mountains of flashbacks to Naruto's most important people and important moments. I think I've seen the scene where Naruto shakes Gaara's hand at least 5 times. Even in the scenes where Naruto remembers his most important people its always team 7, Jiraiya, Iruka, Tsunade, etc, front and centre, while Hinata is shown in the back next to Shino and Kiba.
I agree with you that Naruto is an open book when it comes to his feelings. He's not afraid to show his attraction to someone, and he's always been interested in romantic relationships. I also agree with you that Hinata's sacrifice isn't as memorable for Naruto as some of the other sacrifices that have been made throughout the series. He's seen so many of his loved ones sacrifice themselves for him, that it's hard for any one sacrifice to stand out. However, I do think that Hinata's sacrifice had a significant impact on Naruto. It was the first time that someone had sacrificed themselves for him without asking anything in return. It showed him that he was loved and appreciated, and it gave him the strength to continue fighting. I also think that Hinata's sacrifice is important because it represents the power of love. Love is what motivates Naruto to do the things he does, and it's what gives him the strength to overcome any obstacle. And, whether or not Hinata's sacrifice is memorable for Naruto is up to the individual viewer. Some people may find it to be a very important moment in the series, while others may not think it's as significant. But there's no doubt that Hinata's sacrifice was a selfless act of love, and it had a positive impact on Naruto.@@dev-xb2dw
Except she wasn't forced into the love interest role , she liked the main character that's it. It's because nobody else wanted Naruto which makes fans think hinata must be this well liked and empathize with her character. The fan who like Naruto will be extension like Hinata. Simple reasoning.
Like. Hinata fans give me ONE reason (and a canon one) of why she's a good character. And no "she's pretty" or "she's hot" aren't valid answers. Do you want a submissive and literally SUBSERVIENT wife because your masculinity is so below room temperature that you need to flex your manhood?
giving everything for your goal in life - ninja way - until you nearly drop dead and later freewillingly trying to defend beloved ones with your life - yeah sure no reason for you...
Good sir, thank you very much for this question. Please, alow me to respond: Hinata is kind, understanding and compassionate toward others, and developed the same kind of perseverance Naruto has post-chunnin exam. However, her Naruto-centrism is indeed annoying. And, hope it's ok if I might take the liberty to add why Saskura is worse than her: Sakura is indeed kind in most ways, can be understanding most of the series and, at the end of part one, also becomes hardworking. However, her Sasuke-obsession is annoying, especially after he becomes a genocidal psycopath, her agressive bitchness and hipocrisy towards Naruto, Sai and Konohamaru is annoying and her stupidity and falseness in the "let's kill Sasuke" arc is pathetic and consecrated her as one of the worst charaters in the series. Good day ☺
@@princeyoutuber-yq8hf 1- Ok. That's an opinion. But somehow you state it as it is some sort of fact, or science. 2- And I agree with that opinion. After all, my answer wasn't "Because Hinata is kind". No, her kindness is ONE OF the reasons why I think of her as a nice charactet. Not THE REASON. It's a build up of things. Her kindness, compassion, empathy, eventual hard-workingness and strength of character during the chunnin exams, plus chosing to give her life fighting Pain instead of just letting Naruto be taken. Plus having the resolve to not falter after Neji's death and helping Naruto to cope with it and overcome it as well. Plus, the gentle fist, the air palm and twin-lion fist are cool techniches. All that, subtracted by her very annoying narutocentrism, generates my opinion of her. I don't find any character good or bad because a single adjective. Perhaps you don't consider value in any of all these points, and absolutely everything you can compute about Hinata is the annoying narutocentrism. And that would be as valuable an opinion as stating that the narutocentrism is awesome. Just an opinion.
Pierrot loves Hinata so much, they also extended Hinata’s fight with Pain, more of her childhood flashbacks, and her trying to break the rods to free Naruto too.
@@VanLe-gk3ie No wonder, I've heard that Hinata's turn in the original is about 150 pages. It is less than one comic book volume. Pierrot made a considerable effort to favor the supporting role.
TLDR video, you either get Hinata and Naruto who shows no relationship development before getting together, or you get Sakura and Sasuke who show all the worst possible abusive, clingy, sad aspects of a relationship. Yeah I’d prefer not seeing anything than seeing something that pathetic
Fun fact- if sakura had bigger tatas no one would hate her and if hinata had smaller everyone would hate her Thats just the anime community these days thty dont care about characters devlopment or there importance anymore all they want is sexy girls and overpowered badass main characters or just cool looking fighting scenes
I agree lol that the anime community has become more focused on physical appearance and action sequences in recent years. This is likely due to the increasing popularity of shounen anime, which are typically action-packed and feature male protagonists with superhuman abilities. However, I believe that there is still a place for character development and complex female characters in anime. There are many shounen anime that feature well-developed female characters, such as Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, Hunter x Hunter, and Attack on Titan. There are also many seinen and shoujo anime that focus on character development and complex female characters, such as Violet Evergarden, Fruits Basket, and Your Lie in April. I think that the anime community is still capable of appreciating character development and complex female characters. It is just that the most popular anime tend to be shounen anime, which are typically more focused on action and fanservice. I hope that the anime community will become more diverse in the future, and that there will be more opportunities for character development and complex female characters in all genres of anime.
@@Suto_Ko I absolutely agree with what you say We need more artists to focus on giving women in anime great stories and development rather than sexulaising them.
I have seen so many people argue about how Hinata is great only to end it with " Big tiddy submissive waifu" ... It reduces her already badly written character. But in the manga art , Sakura isn't even flat , Hinata isn't an F cup as well ( although more curved ) .
THANK YOU! I’ve been saying this for years! It annoys me so much how everyone craps on Sakura (which obviously she deserves that pre Shippuden) but makes a pass for Hinata. Sakura was useless in pre Shippuden, but Hinata has always been useless. People even crap on Tenten. Hinata is the weakest one of the 12 hands down. Her “relationship” with Naruto is ridiculous. While I don’t like NaruSaku, at least Naruto liked her. At least they both had a bond and interacted. Naruto barely knew Hinata existed, and Hinata barely even spoke to Naruto. I get being shy and having a one sided crush as a kid, but if you love him so much why stalk him instead of talking to him all those years alone? If you wanted to win him over just acknowledge him. She’s no better than the others. And why stalk him as a teenager? It’s creepy.
I’d like to see a video on why Sakura actually tells the original “Naruto” story better than anyone, hear me out: Sakuras parents actually have no shits about her. They weren’t great ninja, and their generation and the ones before we all constantly at war / dying. ( imagine, sending you’re daughter out for training, when there are demi-gods, and you know that you need at the very least a strong bloodline just to survive). She has no real talent. Yes, she studied very well but that’s it. Later - we figured out that Naruto want just talented but he was god tier, but his chakra was just funky due to the seal, and he had an ungodly amount. And even despite this insane nerf, he was able to learn shadow clone - a super special move in a single freaking night. Sakura was always miles behind Naruto & Sasuke, yet she did he best not to not drag them down. Not only did she became an insane healer which was ungodly difficult, she also proved she could keep up with top tier characters. ( not win, but survive and/or assist. That is INSANE. Because she has no eye hax, she had no dumb chakra beast, she has no kekegenkai, she never even got a single compliment on her chakra reserves, or physical strength until post time skip, fighting kakashi) The story started out about Naruto; this lonely guy with no family/friends/talent. But the fact is, his parents were there the entire fine, the entire lead village was watching him, he was insanely talented. Sakura is hated by the fan base, she is ignored by her own village. But she never strayed. She is the true MC.
Sakura is meant to be the normal popular girl that people want to date, while Hinata is meant to be the weird nerd that weird nerds think they want to date but no one actually enjoys dating
Truth be told, Almost every character fell off near the war arc. Hinata never reconciled with her father, Neji died for no reason, Rock Lee hasn't done ANYTHING since he was 13, Anko did nothing, the Jonins in the Chunin exams did nothing. I think IMO Hinata SHOULD'VE been asked by Naruto to come with him when he was getting KCM1. I think we're at a point where people hate Naruto in general now. PS: Kishimoto just doesn't follow up with characters well enough (He can write female characters, he just has a problem with the characters in general).
Unless they’re Naruto, Kakashi, Guy, a past Hokage, or their last name is Uchiha. It’s really clear that Kishimoto stopped caring about all the characters past a certain point.
@@nunouno001what he can do if you going to focus on all these characters you going to aid more arc and the main problem is that kishimoto can't do that unless the editor allow him to that
This guy literally contradicts himself by claiming that "Hinata has no character development" and simultaneously claim that "she has interesting development".
I wouldn’t say Hinata is the worse character, I would just say she has the worst writing. Probably even worse than Karin who was just created to be a love tool for Sasuke. We don’t see Hinata often in the show, she’s only on screen when Naruto’s there, and mostly her entire character is based around his life. Even in the war arc bro, they made her so useless, and again a lovesick puppy for Naruto. In The Last Naruto Movie they did the same thing.. again. Making Hinata a damsel in distress like always. It’s like they took what made her special, and like it or not Hinata’s writing actually gets worse throughout the show. Especially in The Last Naruto Movie. They made her so weak and fragile. She had no character development throughout the years, and just became a housewife for Naruto. Something she was destined from the beginning.
I think Kishimoto wasn't in a relationship with anyone and wasn't good at drawing experience from the real world as a result, but I could be wrong and ........ 1: He could talk to his parents or friends about their experience assuming it's appropriate in Japanese culture. 2: He could read other books and consume other media with well written female characters.
His dad passed away during the war arc and he never takes a break he never see his family while he was working because in shonan you have to work for 24 hours and you have 3hours to sleep
He wasn't allowed to go to his honeymoon he got married in 2003 but he didn't go to his honeymoon until he was finished with Naruto in 2015 and his dad passed away during the manga run and he missed his father ferinal because he was too busy with Naruto
I think this sums up the problem with Hinata and her stans in a nutshell: Hinata Stans: You're all we ever wanted. You're beautiful. Hinata: Thank you. But what else? Hinata Stans: What else? Hinata: Is beauty all that matters to you? Kishimoto: Guys? What else? Hinata Stans: I... What else is there?
Saying Hinata is better than Sakura because she is cutter is pathetic. I fell sorry for anyone who says that. But I can give a better one: Hinata is kind, understanding and compassionate toward others, and developed the same kind of perseverance Naruto has post-chunnin exam. However, her Naruto-centrism is indeed annoying. As for Sakura, is indeed kind in most ways, can be understanding most of the series and, at the end of part one, also becomes hardworking. As for Karin....just....holly shit...
I hate how she has gotten even more shallow as time went one. Why Kishi why? Between Hinata being written very shallow and Sakura being shafted by the plot at every chance, why did Narusasu happen instead? I’ll believe that ship over these failed potentials even more so.
I’m a parent, and I can vouch for what you were saying. Someone coming into my home and threatens one of my kids. There is no way that they are leaving the room alive, even if they kill me in the process. By the way. Love the direction of Hinata in your rewriting series. She is a character filled with agency, intrigue, and a great arch to complete, where she will protect Naruto the best way she sees fit.
Never thought you would make a video about this topic, but I totally agree with you, it's incredible how so many people say she's the best character of the series only cause of her "design", when Tsunade, Sakura, and others were much better developed to say the least. Kind of sad to think she could have been a very interesting character and a great couple for Naruto, but got relegated to a filler character throughout the series.
Good, I'm glad you called it out. Back when the Pain arc was releasing weekly, I wrote an entire future fanfic and paired her with Naruto and Sasuke with Sakura. I really thought they were going to make really compelling arcs to mature the story. I ended up hating Hinata by the end and was actively touring for him to pair up with Sakura. Neji didn't need to die for this, they just wasted a really good potential character in Hinata.
I probably will get some Salt for saying this but if you go by the manga hinata was never a big deal to begin with she was always a slide character that Faded into the background Its Studio pierrots Bias towards her that made her a fan favourite to begin with givein the Amount of filler that was used to make her look cool 😂 Compared to the other females in the series
The fact that she didn’t follow up on her confession for over two years always irked me. It’s that antiquated notion that the man is the one who has to initiate the relationship that really bothers me about her. Also Sakura being the one to convince Naruto that he never actually loved her really feels like it’s just Sakura making one last attempt to try to get him to stop pursuing her. I’m convinced that Naruto must have been really trying to woo her in the two years before the movie. Dude was throughly convinced that he loved her for the better part of a decade, it couldn’t just be a way to compete with Sasuke.
I mean we did learn that Hinata liked Naruto because he defended her from some guys bullying her. The kid that the entire village said was just a trouble maker and good for nothing was fighting to protect her, so she started liking him. Also Hinata and Neji actually had a few moments together when they were training together. They started get a bit more close.
@@Leeeo Hinata is written fine. Obviously its not the most amazing writing out there, but its decent. Her motivation might just be "I love Naruto", but there is a good reason for her liking Naruto and she was training hard and working on herself because of that. Her moment in the Pain arc is basically the pay off for this hard work
@skex5208 And then she fell off right after that. She did absolutely jack shit after the pain arc it's so sad. Such a waste of a potentially amazing character. The only other character I can think of that has more wasted potential is probably Sakura.
@@Leeeo dont forget about Tenten. She has the ability to use every ninjatool to its full potential, they could have given her a really cool sub plot, but instead she got less screentime than a damn pig
Honestly since i got back into the Naruto, did realise while sakura is called useless, she's not the worse as honestly hinata in Shippuden i remember like 3 scenes with her
Sakura is only called useless because in dangourous situations (compared to Naruto & Sasuke who are literally the main characters, are reincarnations of hagoromo's sons & come from ninja family backgrounds), she's often ineffective and/or stands in the corner calling for Sasuke or Naruto and barely gets a moment to truly show her own growth (unaided by other's like Granny Chiyo etc) But the biggest reason she's called useless is due to the hate she's generated especially in Shipuuden by being a complete insenitive b*tch to the protagonist. If Hinata was a b*tch she'd be pretty hated too. But instead she's essentially the opposite of Sakura, humble & kind due to her timid nature. So despite being a bit poorly written and under utilized, she's is still a far more likeable character than Sakura as you can actually still root for Hinata in Shipuuden. Also because most of the Naruto fandom is male demographic is makes sense why Hinata is liked over Sakura. Men generally don't like @$$holes and/or b*+ches. Women often do, but me not so much.
the mary sue and the character turned into the ultimate pick me girl by the studio. her favoritism came at the expense of assassinating another equally pathetic female character, that being sakura haruno. ladies and gentlemen, may we all have a round of applause of HINATA HYUGA.........
Seriously studio perroit just ruined sakura characters development just for hinata to have a spotlight what even worst is sakura had her own novel studio perroit refused to adapt it to a anime of hinata had her own novel pretty much studio perroit would actually adapt it the anime for obvious reasons
@pokemontrainerzak2232 she isn't bad in the manga she had better character development in the manga and I didn't say studio perroit wrote sakura they ruined her characters you guys always try to find a excuse to hate sakura at this point when hinata characters development is just garbage compared to tenten
As much as I like Hinata and Naruhina, I flat out admit that 90% of it comes down to liking the more fleshed out version of Hinata in my head, relating to her because of her social anxiety, and wanting Hinata to get what she wants. Its why I feel like people who just jump straight to making her not shy anymore when they "fix" her kind of miss the point. If social anxiety was something you could just choose to suddenly get over, it wouldn't be such an issue in the first place. In my experience, I don't think I'm ever going to "cure" it, technically, and I don't say that out of low self-esteem. It's just how it is. The anxiety only ever becomes less debilitating, so that you still feel it, but you can at least do things anyway.
Naruhina was the reason I stopped caring about Naruto. There are so many more interesting mangas and animes out there. Even Granny Tsunade is a better love interest than Hinata.
It was forced Naruto has more screen time with sakura than hinata they only reason Hinata ended with Naruto because of fillers and look what the studio did to sakura they cut a lot of her dielog and moments in the manga
It was a nice video. I mostly agree with what this guy said. The only thing (or rather, the major thing) I didn't like was 2:55 when this guy said "yes. Naruto & Hinata were always endgame. Ever since Hinata was introduced, she's had a crush on Naruto. It was obvious Kishimoto was planning for that from the beginning." I really hate when ppl keep saying he planned this pairing from the beginning. It's easy in hindsight when all is said and done to say "he planned it from the beginning. NO HE DIDN'T! Every time Kishi was asked when he planned NH, he always gave a different answer. In one interview he said he planned them from the beginning, in another interview he said he planned it somewhere in the middle, and in another interview he said he planned it toward the end. Which is it Kishi, beginning, middle, or end? This is the same guy who said he made Madara too powerful and he didn't know how to beat him. Naruto's kids don't have a Byakugan, and they have whiskers. They SHOULDN'T HAVE WHISKERS! Naruto has whiskers b/c Kurama's chakra mixed w/ Naruto's in Kushina's womb... so unless Naruto himself gave birth to them, THEY SHOULDN'T HAVE WHISKERS! Why don't those kids have the byakugan? It's not like the Sharingan, you're born with it, you don't awaken it later. As for the next part... "Ever since Hinata was introduced, she's had a crush on Naruto" I'm really sick of ppl saying Hinata having a crush is good enough for development. Apparently what this manga is trying to teach is if a woman has feelings for someone then it's set in concrete. What about the mans feelings? Apparently we men get no say in the matter; no say in how we feel at all. We should just be subservient to the woman's feelings. So if a woman has feelings for me (a man) in real life, I get no say in the matter? On a side note, I think this mentality comes from ppl thinking men are just horn dogs who don't care where they stick they're dicks. So if a woman has feelings for a man, the man has no say, like he's a prisoner, and has no say in the matter. As a man I'm offended. NH fans think Hinata having feelings for Naruto means he has to reciprocate said feelings like he owes her. NOBODY OWES YOU ANYTHING. IF SOMEONE HAS ROMANTIC FEELINGS FOR ANOTHER PERSON, SAID PERSON ISN'T OBLIGATED TO RETURN THOSE FEELINGS! 3:11 "It's not developed at all in the Naruto series" yeah no kidding. Let's assume for a minute Kishi really did plan this pairing from the beginning... I'm sorry Kishi YOU SUCK AS A WRITER! If you can't be bothered to develop the (supposed) "main pairing" of your series, then you shouldn't write. I know that sounds harsh, but It's the truth. Kishi's excuse was "I'm bad at writing romance"... well sorry but you gotta learn! NH wasn't planned from the beginning, I'll even go so far as to say it wasn't planned at all (but that's a different conversation all together, one that I really don't want to get into b/c it's late and this comment is already pretty long). The only thing I believe Kishi planned (albeit very poorly) was the Naruto & Sasuke fight at the Final Valley (the final one at the end of the manga). Alright this post has already gotten very long. I'll just leave it with this final thing. My rule for analyzing an anime is this: If it didn't happen in the manga, I don't care. If Studio Pierrot wrote it I especially don't care. As for Hinata fighting Pain, might've been a cool fight in the anime, but didn't happen in the manga (b/c it was done by a studio that had a hard on for Hinata). Hinata said I love you to Naruto and he still ignored her after that. You would think if it was all planned from the beginning then Naruto would've talked to her afterwards. The fact that they weren't developed at all (poorly at best) tells me Kishi didn't plan any of this or he REALLY SUCKS AS A WRITER. I tend to lean to the former (and even the latter in some arguments). I've ranted long enough. I'll leave it at this (I know i've said that a few times lol, this time I mean it). NH was not planned from the beginning, if it was Kishi would've developed it properly. There's a lot more I could say, and I've only scratched the surface. So many things I could add on to this, but then I'd need a blog lol. If you've managed to read to the end, hey thanks! More power to ya. Peace!
You're absolutely wrong about the slap. It is tge perfect response for tge moment. I haven't seen a second of Boruto but I believe this Kawaki guy is also considered Hinata and Naruto's son. "Kill him on tge spot" is the dumbest thing Dygo said in this video. In this one you understand humans less than Kishimoto understands women !
You do know this people are ninjas right, and they already know of kwaki's history. I mean, he's already killed Boruto once before, before announcing his intentions to do it again and I believe Hinata knew that already 🙄...so it's really stupid of them if you really think about it. What would have been more realistic is Hinata being totally apprehensive of keeping a boy who looks like a bad influence in her house with her two beloved kids. Shy or not, women are actually really protective of their kids and their intuitions are almost always accurate. Hinata lacking any of this, despite having the Byakugan, which is stated to be the eye of insight is even more reason to count against her
The movie was frankly bad. Kishimoto apparently didn't want to write it in an interview. He stated he wanted a story focusing on Sasuke after the fourth war but Studio pierrot said no, because they wanted a Naruto and Hinata love story and we got the Last instead with no build up and forced love story
@@lapplandkun9273that why the creator needs more freedom to focus just look what happens to the side characters and the female characters and the world building kishimoto original wanted to have more arc like visiting each villages but the editor said no that what happens they didn't allow him to aid more arc and tusnade and sakura were supposed to have a fight in the pain arc but that's was cut down
The best explanation would have for him to say Naruto knew Sakura would never love him or that Naruto's love for Sakura wasn't healthy since Sakura never acknowledged his feelings.
All Kishimoto needed to do was to put Hinata into team 7 instead of Sakura. It literally needed her to be a damsel in distress for Naruto to be worried about her. That's the worst foundation for a relationship
She was never supposed to end with Naruto to being with sakura was but she was back then and hinata was more popular than her that kishimoto editor told him to change the plan and that because the anime sakura is way better in the manga
For crying out loud, she had to be kidnapped for naruto to even take any notice of her. That's how abysmal hinata is as a character. But no, you're the problem if you don't acknowledge guilt tripping and genjutsu to be the peak of romantic story telling.
@@istalkghosts497I love Sakura, like, she's my fav anime character but her and Hinata should've swapped teams She would've benefited from Kurenai way more, as they both had an affinity for Genjutsu (especially the theme of Kurenai's Genjutsu matching Sakura's whole Blossom motif). And they still could've kept her as an important character, just on a different team As for Hinata and Kurenai, they could just have Kakashi be the one to take her in when her father disowns her. This video is to defend filler, because e lovevery time Dygo says we never saw I think "yeah we did". For example there were countless times we saw Neji and Hinata training together .
Filler isn't canon bud. Sorry. And the manga takes priority over the anime. That's why the hinata vs pain thing was dumb and ridiculous, because it never happened in the manga.
It's funny cause she is voiced by the same actress of another character...orihime from Bleach. And orihime was submissive but way better written and showed her strength when needed even though she did not get much screentime after the rescue rukia arc.
The title of “worst female character” belongs to Sakura. She has the worst qualities and her obsessive love for Sasuke makes her character insufferable.
What really disguised me was the man even tried to killed her and she still loved him? Aye aye aye. Totally understandable how she gets alot of hate compared to Hinata

Kishimoto should've had an assistant writer (If he did I have no idea) who would make up for his writing weaknesses such as personality traits and female characters. Multitasking is, after all difficult for a lot of ppl. It's not soo much Hinata is a terrible character, but how she was handled. Wondering that myself considering Hinata would have to be a healer if she wanted to actually learn stuff from Tsunade because the Hyuga are about gentle styles, not brute strength like Guy & Lee.
If Hinata were trained by Tsunade, she would be very strong. Hinata is already a skilled ninja, and she has a lot of potential. With Tsunade's training, she would learn how to use her chakra more effectively, and she would develop new and powerful techniques. Hinata would also benefit from Tsunade's knowledge of medical ninjutsu. This knowledge would allow Hinata to heal herself and her allies, and it would make her more versatile in battle. Overall, if Hinata were trained by Tsunade, she would be a very powerful ninja. She would be able to use her Gentle Fist technique to defeat even the strongest opponents, and she would be able to heal herself and her allies.
3:02 there’s no way kishmoto was planning on naruto and hinata end up together especially since hinata wasn’t in the first few chapters, and the naruto and sakura parallels with minato and kushina and obito and rin, and also the possible rumor that kishimoto was planning on team 7 go to different villages and each of the konoha 11 were gonna be from those villages!
That’s not true in a interview kishmoto said that when he was creating naruto the story wasn’t going anywhere so his editor suggested that he gives him a rival and that’s how sasuke came into the story and then he realized that he needed a heroine and that’s how sakura came into the story if hinata was created before sakura why didn’t he decide to make hinata the heroine instead of creating sakura and even if hinata was created before sakura he still didn’t had her be in team 7 instead of sakura and not to mention she wasn’t in the first few chapters of the series’s and let’s not forget the naruto and sakura parallels!

This phrase 'I love you', it is translated from '私はナルトくんが大好きだから' - 'Watashi wa Naruto-kun ga daisuki dakara'. And the most common use for daisuki is 'love' when you say about a hobby or beloved animals or favourite food. Like, 'I love dogs', 'I love pizza'. It may sound ambiguous and not as straightforward as the translation looks like. Besides, her character is based on Japanese culture. Hinata is making subtle moves, even though she is introvert, and probably has some kind of anxiety. I don't see her really making bold moves towards Naruto. But I still agree she could have been written better.
I agree that Hinata is absolutely flat in this one regard. The only regard she's flat in. She never even considered other characters. Actually none of characters ever considered other characters, except Ino, which makes her the best girl. Others just go with the plot. If Hinata considered braking/breaking her romantic thoughts on naruto after Pain arc, she would have had more of my respect. Kishimoto can't write a decent romance. I would at least imagine being broken over Naruto just ignoring Hinata afterwards. No date, no second talk. No Naruto thinking about Hinata as he went forward. Naruto took over his master in more ways than one.
Hinata really had nothing to lean on. She should have been on more early missions as they did send neji so why not hinata as well for the gaara arc? Her master got wrecked so hard she became a house wife after using genjutsu on itachi. Kiba was a feat for Naruto to defeat and shino was very underused especially when he could wreck a majority of the cast And that's without mentioning the other groups. Shikamaru was lucky like sakura to get to drop a Akatsuki member before things became god mode
The thing is, some characters are meant for just supporting the main character and their development, I don't have problems with Hinata being such character.
yes, that it's perfectly fine for some characters to be meant for just supporting the main character and their development. In fact, I think that many of the best supporting characters in anime are those who are primarily focused on helping the main character grow and change. Hinata is a good example of a supporting character who is well-written and important to the story, even though she is not the main character. She plays a vital role in Naruto's development, and she helps him to become a better person.
I feel like Hinata's reason for liking Naruto was pretty clear. She saw him as someone with the confidence, social boldness and willpower that she felt she lacked. He was thought of as someone who couldn't accomplish anything and never stopped defying that, she felt similarly, being in her sister's shadow. I think this is shown in the Chunin exams but not all that much later.
80% of the runtime of the video explaining why Hinata is so bad is actually explaining why the romance with Naruto is terribly developed, if developed at all. That's no reason for a character being bad per se. Especially when it comes to Naruto's inaction in talking to her after her confession(wich in The Last is said that it is because he was dumb enough to not understand what she meant with "I Love You"). It would make much more sense if this would be motive to downgrade Naruto as a character, not Hinata. Indeed her development in the Shippuden is basically unexistent, wich is a problem. But the same apply for Ino, Tenten, Kurenai, Anko and Shizune. And about her part in Boruto, for me it is tottaly irrelevant. It's all a giant filler for me. Hinata's narutocentrism is annoying, but in the end I find her a nice character, based on her kindness, compassion, the persevereance she learned in the chunnin arc, Her cuteness is the least relevant factor. Chiyo is the almost the opposite of cuteness, but is perhaps the best female character in Naruto. Sakura on the other hand is really annoying with her agressive bitchness, Sasuke Obsession (especially after she learns he became a psicopath aspiring genocidal), and stupid manipulative plans during her "kill Sasuke arc".
See the issue is that's all Hinata's character is tho I love Naruto Every action she takes is because of Naruto Weather it be for him or due to his actions So if you have a character whose entire motivation relies on their feelings for another character, and the author cannot convey that type of connection, then the character fails
@@nora-yc6fi I kinda of agree, but, first, I saw no failure in giving reasons in her love for Naruto(specially when comparing to Sakura, Ino and Karin), nor reason for the reader to not care about her feelings towards him. About every action taken being because of Naruto, indeed, that's a problem that worsens her as a character, but I don't see it reaching the level Dygo transmits. Unfortunatelly most of the time she appeared on screen was annoyingly Naruto-centric, almost making her a pokemon named Naruto-kun, but it was also showned that her life was more than that, though it rarelly appered on screen, specially in Shippuden. She was with very low self esteem in the beggining and suffered a lot from it, ashamed of her weakness towards her father's expectations and for failling missions, but got over. Naruto was a trigger for that, but her goals were more than just becoming strong "for him". She also cared and suffered for Neji even though he loathed her, never hating him back and becoming big friends with him after he changed, and learned a lot from him. Whe he died, she demonstrated a resolve about the matter of "hurtfull reality vs confy illusion" when even Naruto was kinda faltering. So it's not because her screentime only shows one thing, that her life is only about that thing. Just as the Ramen Guy's life is not necesserally only about ramen. And if we where to condemm Hinata for that, Sakura shoudn't be left much behind. Her motivation was completely Sasuke-centric and then the greatest change she had about it was to start wanting to become strong to help Sasuke AND Naruto(specially after Naruto's main goal became to bring Sasuke back). Even when she decided to kill Sasuke, it was out love and respect for whom he used to be and for Naruto. And don't get me started on Karin, because....holly shit...
@@deadlynightshade1009 I used to think so as well, untill came that trash of a movie Naruto The Last, and officially shown he didn't know Hinata loved him, and Sakura says that he interpreted Hinata's love declaration as someone declaring that love ramen. She also says that Naruto's love for her wasn't for real and was just derived from his rivalry with Sasuke....even though he only had this feelings for Sakura out of the dozen girls who had a crush on Sasuke. It's stupid as hell, but it's cannon. Anyway, Naruto being able to call Sakura's bullshit might be due to being able to perceive lies. Also, he saw her everyday and knew her much better than he knew Hinata.
My issue with Sakura is that she was detrimental to the team constantly. Hinata didn’t do much but at least she didn’t constantly make everything worse.
Hinata's love for Naruto is much more legit than Sakura's love for Sasuke. It makes sense that she would admire him for being something she aspires to be. Too bad Kishimoto did nothing with that.
@@vFNNliking someone's character and supporting yadayada, that's not how relationships work. It takes more than that for a relationship to work. Shikamaru and Temari are a good example of that. They didn't start off liking each other and supporting each other. They have similar interests, almost similar thinking and they worked in a similar field. That's what made the relationship work.
You know it's bad when Orihime from Bleach is a better female character/love interest (if you don't believe me, go back and watch the first two arcs again). Then again, Bleach has a lot of awesome female characters compared to other Shonen. The only better ones I can think of are, like, Dr Stone, One Piece (if you ignore that Oda can only draw two types of female characters), and Jujutsu Kaisen. Attack on Titan too, though it feels weird to think of that as a Shonen all things considered. Wow. Naruto is really lagging behind in the female character department. The only good one is Tsunade, and maybe Temari.
Let's not get overboard here. Female characters are always badly written in Shonen. You're not going to make people think that Bleach and One Piece are doing better. Orihime isn't a good character (similar to Hinata but Hinata in OG Naruto was far more interesting), Rukia disappeared after she got rescued and the rest are all side characters. One Piece is even worse really. I don't get how you can think Nami or Robin are good characters. Recent Shonen that did his female characters justice would be Chainsaw Man. Because they feel like actual characters with relevance to the plot, not just fan service a la One Piece. Compare the impact of Makima, Reze and Power with Nami and Robin and yeahhh... Let's be nice and just say that the One Piece girls are only here for the pose.
I think you should just stick to power scaling. I don't know if it was filler but I remember Naruto saving Hinata from bullies. Since Hinata is from such a strict clan like the Hyuga clan it's possible that Hinata appreciates Naruto's kindness. Also people sometimes like another because of personality alone. Hinata was a less relevant character than Sakura in the start of the story. There was not much high expectations on her, she fulfilled basic requirements like having a good personality and playing her part in events to the best of her ability. While Sakura the main female character. People call her useless because she disappointed them when the time came and there were moments she said terrible things to Naruto and even Sasuke was triggered, overall Kishimoto might have slipped up, making her personality misunderstood?? I also noticed how you tried to make Naruto hate the villagers more in your rewrite, just because it doesn't make sense to you. But the thing is people are different. Naruto might just be gentle and are less prone to feeling hate and ends up being sad overall. There is no right or wrong emotions, it depends on inherent desire. I personally respect Naruto because he didn't give in to hate but tried to better himself to prove them wrong and be accepted.
Kishimoto made all the Naruto girls physically strong, but not strong written.
Tbh, only Sakura and Tsunade are physically strong.
Most Naruto characters suck
Kishimoto didn’t even write Boruto
@@lilveltheplayer2164 but even they are but afterthoughts when compared to their male counterparts. Tsunade's powers are boring compared to the two other Sanin, and Sakura is tacked on the other two at best
Issue with hinita iss she was forced into the love interest role. This is proven when they created a movie just to shoehorn their forced relationship
He wrote Kushina and her relationship with Minato way better
The one shot made me cry
Where was that for your main character Kishi?
Kishimoto probably gained some valuable life experience after finishing the Naruto manga. Hence the better love story in the Minato x Kushina manga.
@@TrafalgarWaterDLaw-dl5cm great post, agree with all of it. We in the fandom joke about Naruto/Sasuke being the main couple but the whole plot is deadass a platonic lovestory

Remember when Hinata was trying to earn her father's approval? Whatever happened to that?
@@thetrollingmaster04Hanging from Kishimoto's nuts
Hate to break it to you, but the answer is, it's gone to the dogs
yep, in the anime, Hinata was trying to earn her father's approval.

@@godlysaiyan7356Literally.

Sakura managed to do just as much as her? 😂😂 she did a whole lot of stuff compared to hinata what are u high on 😹
Exactly bro
Sakura was a shinobi and Sasuke's partner
Hinata was just Naruto's wife
And there's nothing wrong in that not everyone has to be an important character.
Then why there is no scenes of it
Hinata going on missions ? I think she's still chunin and gave up on shjnobi after marrying and having kids
Best mom ? May be still boruto acted shitty. Boruto set right because he saw naruros true strength and thoughts
Sarada hates sakura ? Nah she said mean things because of angry on sasuke not on her mom
Sakura ino have free time more than hinata ? Nope I never saw hinata doing another work except cooking cleaning kids and staying home Sakura is head of konoha medical department she's the director of many hospitals she takes care of sarada Sakura opened many child health care hospitals she also trains herself is the best medic in the world still hangouts with ino and maintains good relationship with her teammates and friends one eg is sarada knows who shizune is and she knows many people related to her mom and then there is himawari who doesn't even know Kiba who is her mother's teammate
I really question does hinata have a life outside naruto and her kids and that four walled house
Sakura has a life outside rather than just staying with sasuke and having sarada she's an amazing Kate level shinobi
And I think sasusaku couple has maturity and understanding and teamwork among them we can it when fight with shin uchiha Sakura and sasuke didn't meet for almost 7 to 8 years but still had teamwork and understanding its like sasuke saying my wife's not weak and sakura telling aarada that smth like this is not enough to defeat her papa and even though they don't spend much time together uchiha family actually understands each other so well like sasuke being concerned about how to be with sarada and asking Sakura and Sakura gives him advices about it all naruto did was to feel bad that he can't spend time with boruto and himawari and then hinata is like don't worry they understand like a 34 year old should understand or a 12 years old should ?

This is accurate. Filler Hinata, while not perfect, is LEAGUES better than canon Hinata from the manga.
This is the right answer, Naruto filler is basically required viewing for the NaruHina relationship to be believable.
Hinata didn't even fight pain in the manga, yet in the anime they gave her a flashback and half episode dedicated to that part.

They definitely weren’t planned. Although Kishimoto did an interview with Shonen Jump where he said he decided for them to get together early on, he gave other interviews earlier than this where he said he planned them from the middle.

Litetary needed no development. Lol
How is tenten the worst? Tenten does her character’s part. Learn the difference between a character that has a small role, and a character that is badly written
Tenten has the most facial expressions and she is the comical “straight man” to Rock Lee and Guy’s weird antics. Her character is better than Sakura, Hinata and Ino whose whole character is clinging to a boy.
When Hinata saved NAruto from Pain, I remember taking a second to remember that she liked Naruto cause, Naruto was never interested in her, I was reading weekly
What's weird is that it's not brought up again even when Neji dies.
yep, It's true that Naruto was never really interested in Hinata romantically until after the Pain arc.
Issue with hinita iss she was forced into the love interest role. This is proven when they created a movie just to shoehorn their forced relationship

1- Ok.

It's always been that way
I agree lol that the anime community has become more focused on physical appearance and action sequences in recent years.

I’d like to see a video on why Sakura actually tells the original “Naruto” story better than anyone, hear me out:
Sakuras parents actually have no shits about her.
Because she has no eye hax, she had no dumb chakra beast, she has no kekegenkai, she never even got a single compliment on her chakra reserves, or physical strength until post time skip, fighting kakashi)
The story started out about Naruto; this lonely guy with no family/friends/talent.
The popular girls usually peak in high-school, so that's not a really good comparison. It would explain why she's perfect for Sasuke though.
It's more so that people can see the bad story and plotlines of the series. Naruto's story has never been good, frankly
He literally has a son
His dad passed away during the war arc and he never takes a break he never see his family while he was working because in shonan you have to work for 24 hours and you have 3hours to sleep
He wasn't allowed to go to his honeymoon he got married in 2003 but he didn't go to his honeymoon until he was finished with Naruto in 2015 and his dad passed away during the manga run and he missed his father ferinal because he was too busy with Naruto
I think this sums up the problem with Hinata and her stans in a nutshell:
Hinata Stans: You're all we ever wanted. You're beautiful.
Hinata: Thank you. But what else?
Hinata Stans: What else?
Hinata: Is beauty all that matters to you?
Kishimoto: Guys? What else?
Hinata Stans: I... What else is there?
"Hinata Stans" do not exist.

As for Karin....just....holly shit...

I used to be one. They existed and still do. Beware of them.
I probably will get some Salt for saying this but if you go by the manga hinata was never a big deal to begin with she was always a slide character that Faded into the background
Its Studio pierrots Bias towards her that made her a fan favourite to begin with givein the Amount of filler that was used to make her look cool 😂 Compared to the other females in the series
Are you really defending Hinata's dumbass character writing 😂
@@Leeeo Hinata is written fine. Obviously its not the most amazing writing out there, but its decent.
Her motivation might just be "I love Naruto", but there is a good reason for her liking Naruto and she was training hard and working on herself because of that. Her moment in the Pain arc is basically the pay off for this hard work
@skex5208 And then she fell off right after that. She did absolutely jack shit after the pain arc it's so sad. Such a waste of a potentially amazing character. The only other character I can think of that has more wasted potential is probably Sakura.

Honestly since i got back into the Naruto, did realise while sakura is called useless, she's not the worse as honestly hinata in Shippuden i remember like 3 scenes with her
Sakura is only called useless because in dangourous situations (compared to Naruto & Sasuke who are literally the main characters, are reincarnations of hagoromo's sons & come from ninja family backgrounds), she's often ineffective and/or stands in the corner calling for Sasuke or Naruto and barely gets a moment to truly show her own growth (unaided by other's like Granny Chiyo etc)
But the biggest reason she's called useless is due to the hate she's generated especially in Shipuuden by being a complete insenitive b*tch to the protagonist.

It was obvious Kishimoto was planning for that from the beginning."
I really hate when ppl keep saying he planned this pairing from the beginning.
Peace!
narusaku was always planned imo. fan service changed his mind for sure
Hinata lacking any of this, despite having the Byakugan, which is stated to be the eye of insight is even more reason to count against her
I will prove one day that Naruto was supposed to end up with Sakura

Wonder how strong is hinata would be if she was trained by tsunade just like sakura?
I think Tsunade's healing would of worked well with Hinata's other teqniques.

The love story of Hinata and Naruto looks really cute, but doesn't make any sense, because they barely have moments together, Naruto and Sasuke looks more of a couple than Hinata and Naruto.
Naruto took over his master in more ways than one.
this video is more like why naruto is the worse male character not hinata lol
Only in Boruto Naruto is terrible
Hinata really had nothing to lean on. She should have been on more early missions as they did send neji so why not hinata as well for the gaara arc?
Her master got wrecked so hard she became a house wife after using genjutsu on itachi. Kiba was a feat for Naruto to defeat and shino was very underused especially when he could wreck a majority of the cast
And that's without mentioning the other groups. Shikamaru was lucky like sakura to get to drop a Akatsuki member before things became god mode
9:53 that literally killed me😂
The thing is, some characters are meant for just supporting the main character and their development, I don't have problems with Hinata being such character.
Yeah but I do wish she had more development on becoming more confident and more scenes with neji.
yes, that it's perfectly fine for some characters to be meant for just supporting the main character and their development.
@@Suto_Ko how is she well-written?
I feel like Hinata's reason for liking Naruto was pretty clear. She saw him as someone with the confidence, social boldness and willpower that she felt she lacked. He was thought of as someone who couldn't accomplish anything and never stopped defying that, she felt similarly, being in her sister's shadow. I think this is shown in the Chunin exams but not all that much later.
How could you say something so controversial yet so brave?
See the issue is that's all Hinata's character is tho
I love Naruto
Every action she takes is because of Naruto
Weather it be for him or due to his actions
So if you have a character whose entire motivation relies on their feelings for another character, and the author cannot convey that type of connection, then the character fails
@@deadlynightshade1009 I used to think so as well, untill came that trash of a movie Naruto The Last, and officially shown he didn't know Hinata loved him, and Sakura says that he interpreted Hinata's love declaration as someone declaring that love ramen. yup, Orihime is way better than Hinata
