- Played my first match after dedicated servers were shutdown. Noticed a crazy amount of lag and stuttering and of course host quitting after they die which results in everyone getting booted to the main menus. 10/10

*Sighs* Literally my first match and I quit the game after lol. Totally killed my mood..
I search for lobbies with level 150 hosts or pray for me to be the host.
This game is still very fun even without new updates like new Jason’s or new counselors or new DLC packs
Ending sums it up....the game is truly dead to me =(

Jason in this match was a noob. Had plenty of time to morph to power generator to Tommy Jarvis hunt and still have plenty of time to morph back to trap the phone fuse box. SMH!
Surprisingly there were a lot of low lvls that night. I guess because it was actually friday the 13th and some people bought the game to celebrate/try it out.

Ya and my cousin just got the game for Christmas and he doesn’t know the sad truth of the servers he just thinks it’s his wifi but we still have as much fun as I did alone

At least you’re able to play without your counselor moving at 2fps 😂 Similarly, I’m impressed he was even able to grab you at all. As Jason the grab is even more broken than usual. I’ll literally grab through a counselor’s head like 5 times because it’s all so choppy or delayed in responding. And that’s all without the host leaving or rage-quitting.
I purposely slow mo'd the part where he was about to grab me so y'all can see how far I was from him lol. it was like if his grab somehow magnetically pulled me towards him lol.
Oh wait. Did you mean to say that on xbox you guys are experiencing slow downs or frame drops? If so then I totally misread your comment. Apologies.

Ah, that must be so annoying being P2P now so if the host leaves because they die/aren't Jason you get booted as well why not make it just give someone else in the lobby host randomly if the original host leaves?

Can Someone explain to me how playing online is still available but the servers shut down???
You can still play online but one of the players in the match will be the host (P2P) so you are at the mercy of the connection between you and the host.
How do you play with random people even if the servers have shut down?
Just pick quick play and the game will try to find other random players. One of you all will be randomly chosen to be the host. (P2P)

What happens when a server shuts down? I thought it made the game unplayable
I don't really know how to explain it but like the main servers you play off are gone, so you'll play on someone else's connection
It just means it’s peer to peer instead of running through a server

Bruh i just got the game and unlikely i been waiting in lobby for ever and got no matches
Did not they downed the servers
They shutdown dedicated servers but you can still play with others through P2P connections. If you can't find anyone try to restart the matchmaking. It could be that not many people is playing in your area too.
I hope you get this sorted out.

They milked the cow dry I guess. Game reverted back to P2P state but lobbies close whenever the host abandons the game.
I thought you couldn't play since the servers shut down
The game reverted pack to P2P so you can still play online BUT if the host quits then the match ends for everyone and nobody gets any EXP.
