- ZUN appeared at a live event on April 26th and talked briefly about the new game. Not anything groundbreaking, but it's interesting to see his thoughts.
Some other translators and I did our best to make it accurate, but there are still a few minor things we couldn't catch, people talking over each other and such. If there's anything you think should be changed, please let me know.
Event is Super Touhou Live Stage 2023 Day 1. I'll check over the stream for Day 2 and see if he said anything there as well. - Krátké a kreslené filmy
His ability to remain tight-lipped to probing questions regardless of how much he drinks is just as impressive as his ability to construct games under those same circumstances.
he was very conscious of his words when talking about the new game but during the section where he reviewed the new zun beer he talked quite a lot 🤣

I find comment about many new characters interesting. I kinda expected 3-5 new ones mostly for final stages of story mode but its possible we will get more than that.
Considering there are 19 slots (3 more than PoFV), I honestly would expect most of those will be for returning characters, especially since the cast has expanded a lot since then, so seeing more than 4 new charas would be quite peculiar...
@@juaneste4640 Still it wouldn't be that far out of line to see either. PoFW had 3 new characters, with 4 never having been in a game before. The roster's 3 slots bigger this time as well, so the possibility is there.

Beer is probably one of the first thing people associate with ZUN (the first thing that isn't related to Touhou anyway), he's probably been training his liver up ever since he started EoSD.

@@lpfan4491 expectations came up because of the game’s title and also the color scheme of the title screen (it’s a reach I know but it’s the best evidence we’ve had for a looooong time)

For context, "Animal Tower" is a video game played by 2 people where they take turns stacking an animal on a platform one by one. If an animal falls off-screen, the last player who stacked an animal loses, and the other player wins.
In Dim. Dream characters fought for a wish to be granted, but that didn't really happen as they thought it would.
