DIY No Sew,Vest remix

This No sew vest was one of my very first DIY's... It is Amazing how such an easy concept surprises me every time I look at it. Great to wear with a tank or a tee shirt. All you need to make it is a Tee Shirt and a pair of scissors.

So, as I understand, it will become one long sheet of fabric with a hole in the middle which was the former neck-hole. But in the final product that hole is so much bigger. Did you make it longer before moving it to the mannequin? Or is that just because of the stretchy fabric?
