Means, Holding a scimitar, disk, mace, arrows and bow, lance, club, a skull and a conch shell in Her ten hands. The three-eyed goddess, Her body covered with ornaments, Her countenance with the brilliance of blue diamonds, with ten limbs. We offer our service to mahAkAli, She who Brahma praised for protection from the demons madhu and kaitava, when Bishnu was in sleep.
She is among the first, prime and superior in Dus-Mahavidya's (ten forms of great wisdom knowledge) and all in the Universe. She is wife of Maha-Kal (God of aspect of death or reason of death), an furious incarnation of Lord Shiva.
The word Kali arises from "Kal" in Sanskrit, meaning "time". Sometimes, she is also referred to as the Goddess of death. She is in a state of eternal bliss playing on the bosom of Shiva, in the terrifying surrounding of Samshan (cremation ground). She is black in color because it is the seed stage of all colors and it represents Tamo Guna (Properties of Destruction), She got birth from Darkness when there was nothing, not even the Universe.
She appears cool and appealing as the light of million moons reflect on her. Her teeth are terrible and the tongue lashes out of her widely opened mouth, lustrous like a dark cloud, graceful with the Moon on her forehead. Decorated with serpents, she is going to ghastly eat everything, even Kal (time). But she is also the benign mother conferring boon on all by raising her arm in Varada mudra (hand gesture for blessing).
She is endowed with three eyes, representing Trikala (enriched with three dimensions of time), and four hands; she wears a garland of freshly cut fifty-one demon heads, which hangs down till her knees and blood flows from these, the foxes and her Yoginis (female power spirits) around her get drunk on this flowing blood. Her ghastly spread or disheveled hair, garland of freshly cut demon heads in her upper left hand, scimitar in her upper right hand-everything creates an uncanny look about her. Through her lower right hand, she holds a trident and with lower left hands she holds a khappar.
She wears a pair of earrings made of infant dead body, a garland of cut hands worn around her waist protects her honour. She puts her left foot upon lord Shiva's chest, who lies down beneath her. Blood spills all around her along with piles of dead bodies of demons killed by her,and she appears to be truly terrifying and as huge as a mountain. She is the embodiment of sakti, budhi, ridhi and sidhi.

Kali Maa , she's my mother without her I would have still been stuck in wheel of darkness but when I found her I turned my darkness into my power, weakness into strength. Ever since I was small I always felt divine connection with her who knew that today I would be her strongest daughter. A girl who used to cry over every little thing now she is willing to slay enemies with her bare hands , she doesn't fear anything nor worry about anything bcuz she know her Mother will take care of everything this evil world throws at her. I still remember when she came to my dream for first time she told me " when someone makes you angry , just smile and walk away " I couldn't adopt it easily bcuz I was tied with this world but as I started to get closer to her , I feel like she wanted to tell me that she will take care of them. Sorry Maa for being reckless and stubborn. From doubting if she really there to knowing she's there for me , I grew alot. Everyone who needs to hear this , it's a message from Maa to you " I am there's for you when you feel helpless call me , call me by your heart I will always come to you. You don't have to worry just have faith in me, my divine blessings will always be with you and I love you my dear "

Its been 4 years since i learned who kali was and it was thanks to this video. Im Puerto Rican, not hindu but even tho she seem scary to me at first now she is my everything. I can say for myself that these prayers are powerful. In August 2023, *the day after* I started to pray to Maa Kaali, I suddenly won *a free degree course* to study at a college of my choice. My name was chosen at random out of over *1,000 students* who had also entered this competition. It came at a time when I had no money for my degree tuition fees. I am still struggling financially but I do live in hope for now.

I am from Nicaragua and I don’t have any relation to Hindu religion, I knew something about it, but I didn’t had profound information. Kali came to my life during the pandemic when I just took my self out a dark and abusive situation with a man that took me into de lowest point of energy in my life. After that, mother started to appear everywhere, I saw images of her everywhere, and then her name came up as part of a college project. Kali has changed my life.
When I started worshipping her I was weak but after I prayed to her I became strong and secure in myself. She helped me stand on my two feet. I was sitting roadside in night beside a Peepal tree close to Kali temple. And my eyes were closed and earphones on. I was listening to this mantra!
Trust me after 10 minutes I felt something outside. I opened my eyes. There were 5 black dogs in front of me waving their tails. One came closer and sniffed my leg. I felt as if they could sense maa Kali around me! I can never forget it🖤 ❤️🖤Jai Maa!

All Devis , Godesses, are a manifestation of the divine mother, but like with a human being, we all have many diferent things inside, Shakti energy has diferent spectrum of energies even if thy are all the same.
A guru explains it like that.
Its like your mother. She is one person but one day may be in a angry mood, another day may be the sweetest mother and sing songs to you while you go to bed. Its the same mother in diferent moments or moods.
With the Devis, the all represent diferent energies coming from same source, the divine mother.
Kali is more about extreme purification, cleansing all bad things, rebirth etc.
Durga is more about determination, focus, confidence to achieve your goals, confidence in the protection of God over your soul, its a light which castes away the darkness bringing faith and courage.
Tripura sundri Devi is the aspect of the divine feminine which is conected to beauty and pleasure, to enjoying life and brining the beauty of your soul and your joy to others.
All of them are diferent traits of the same mother and you can worship them at diferent moments of your life when you have diferent things which you need to cultivate inside.
You can also choose a patrom Devi, your favourite Devi which you worship daily, the energy that you wanna mainly cultivate in your life for a lifetime.
And then besides that you can add diferent Godesses for diferent ocasions.
I dnt worship Kali usually but I may do some Kali Sadhana for some time if I need a huge renewal inside.

I use this when people in my waking life that walk with negative entities attached to them attempt to interact with me or energy exchange... But I know social media is very toxic so those energy exchanges can be the most intense...it's like easier to pull of than the dynamic in person and in my opinion can be a little worse depending on how many people and their energy it includes

Two years ago I left a cult I was in for 10 years that was a Kali/Chandi cult. While I learned so many things about Sanskrit, puja, and Maa, they manipulated all of us and tried to turn our devotion for God towards them. It was all to allow them to have power over us. It very nearly destroyed me. They tried to take God from me and use me to make them richer and more elevated above everyone. I couldn't look at pictures of Kali for a long time because of mental vrittis of association with the manipulative cult. Just today, I "found" this channel and She is back in my life and better than ever. She put me in that cult to show me things I could not have learned otherwise. She taught me WAY TOO MUCH to convey in this comment about how not to be fooled and how to have pure devotion---meaning not what someone else says is pure, because how can they know what you feel?---but pure from You to Her. She makes it OK to be yourself. She knows your Heart. She doesn't care, She takes everyone. Even when you are worshiping a different God, Still She is there. She is everything. She is all Gods and All Goddesses and before them and in them and behind them and beyond them. For me, no religion is separate from Her. Not even science and atheism can escape Her blackened infinity. She is everywhere. She is before even before itself. Scriptures state that one should accept a person as Guru, only if they feel spiritual vibes and feel spiritually uplifted in the presence of that person. One should not accept a person as preceptor on account of their scholarship or powers. There will always be charlatans out there. Beware. JAI MA KALIKA.
In my opinion, a relationship with God is only applicable to that person n God.. its very personal. .I have never allowed my friends or even my parents to come into that....no human being like priest or imam or guru can come into it...generally...its better to keep it that way as there are too many fake gurus..who bring bad names to God...only God can be worshipped no one else can be worshipped...

I'm a mixed indigenous/native two spirit person from Canada and for quite a while I've been intrigued by Kali Mata and I've been meaning to hopefully work for Her. Just listening to this is crazy powerful already.
I work in a 200+ year old lodge at night as a cleaner. I felt a presence running past me over and over again in the cafe I was in… it felt more like the presence itself was scared of something and trying to get my attention… I even heard voices too. I try to be kind and understanding but whatever this being was afraid of was beginning to frighten me as well.. I immediately started playing this chant and I felt safe… Please kali ma.
