"This Is not a war! This Is pest control!" The best
That's my favorite one too. It still makes me laugh whenever I watch the episode.
Dalek Sec was the greatest Dalek to ever appear on screen.
wasn't that the Dalek and Cybermen bitching at each other? xD
if best means cringiest
"oNe ThInG cYbErMeN aRe BeTtEr At ThAn DaLeKs Is DyInG"
My favourite Dalek line's got to be from Resolution: "Surrender!" *waits like 1.5 seconds* "Allocated surrender period has expired. Consequence - extermination!"
very dalek
At least he gave them a surrender time.
Mine might be "Daleks do not accept apologies!", from The Stolen Earth I believe
By Dalek standards, that was generous.
I think my fav dalek quote is "this is not war, this is pest control"
_âI am the GOD of all Daleks!â_
*Yes, Mr Briggs. Yes, you are...*
i think the voice actor should get a cameo on the show.
He got one in Torchwood...
From that episode, I prefer the line about humans being âpulped, sifted, only one in a billion was fit to be harvestedâ

Completely agree. The work Nicholas has produced over his Doctor Who tenure has been INCREDIBLE. He is a true icon.
I'm sure he knows well enough. You don't have to suck his testicles. đ
And you have to see him in the corridor sketch.
@@daveferguson937 What corridor sketch?
@@roguemeteorite6778 It's on the DVD of the first series from 1963. It has some sketches Mark Gatis and David Walliams did for the 30th anniversary and also something called 'The corridor Sketch about making the original serial.

"This is not war. This is pest control"
And
"You are superior in only one respect...you are better at dying!"

The Daleks were designed to kill. That extends to their comebacks.
One of my personal favorite funny moments on Doctor Who historyđđ Itâs a damn CRIME that the Cybermen and Daleks never interacted again after this

My favourite line from a Dalek is

My favourite line, so common i know but i love it when daleks just say âEXPLAIN!â
That's a great one for Easter... 'Eggs-plain!'.
Me too, especially with the confusion that is always paired with it. âExPlAiN?!â
remember in the asylum of the daleks when they're just like "EGGS EGGS EGGS EGGS EGGS"
turns out they were about to say eggsterminate
Let's not forget DO NOT INTERRUPT!
i love that one
Nick should've done the most Emo line ever spoken by a Dalek: "This is not life...This...is... SICKNESS!"
For some reason, I'm now imagining Daleks singing Down With The Sickness by Disturbed.
Or when they went to war with the Cyberman... THIS IS PEST CONTROL
Life? This...is...SKAROOOOO!

Then Ill-uminate when you turn on đĄ
The timing was perfect. A great big alien death machine defeated by a flight of stairs. The Dalek looks up and says 'Elevate'
Without doubt the best dalek line has to be from Dalek Masterplan: "You make your incompetence sound like an achievement!"

It's amazing how Nick Briggs not only delivers his own definitive version of the Dalek voice, but how he can so seamlessly provoke the essence of past actor's portrayals as well when reciting those classic series lines. Anyone can angrily yell into a microphone with a funny effect on it, but the way Nick Briggs adds such nuance and variety to his portrayal of the Daleks shows what a telented actor he is. I love your "Fantastic"
The man's got such a peacful, soothing voice and he plays some of the loudest, roughest sounding villains in all of sci-fi.
I think one of my favourite performances by Nicholas Briggs was the first few lines of the Dalek in the Eccleston episode "Dalek". It's not the lines themselves, but the way he delivers them; the slow realisation that something interesting has finally arrived, the memory of what the name "The Doctor" means to a Dalek, and the sudden burst of rage and fury as the Dalek tries to exterminate his age-old enemy. It worked perfectly with the reveal and the scene and showed how much of a performance Briggs is able to provide, even through the ring modulator. Excellent work.
My favorite line has to be from Power of the Daleks. "I AM YOUR SER-VANT."
"WE WIL GET OUR POW-ER!"

I'm weirdly pleased to see the new series Dalek voices use ring modulators just like they did back in 1963. Though I suspect that that Moogerfooger thing might be a bit more advanced than whatever the BBC had back then.
Also pleased to see Mr Briggs likes Death to the Daleks. Hard to defend as a great story but it's always been a favourite of mine for some reason.
I must admit I donât remember a lot of Dalek lines, though I did get chills that time when River made a Dalek beg for âmercyâ. I think itâs a great scene. Plus the one âyou are better at dyingâ with the Cybermen. And I always love it when they yell âexterminateâ.
I just love voice actors having fun with their lines and characters
I love that Nick gives the Daleks different personalities, particularly on audio. He is a great actor (and not just for his Sake work).

I remember seeing my first episode of DW and of course, it was DALEK. The fear and love it instilled in me is unparalleled. You are the sound of my childhood, the creature that got me into Doctor Who, and the one I will admire for all time. You're so incredibly talented and without you, the show and audiobooks wouldn't be the same. My favourite Dalek line is "my vision is not impaired" after Wild shoots one with his paintball gun.
Death to the Daleks is my childhood and probably my favourite Pertwee story. I remember saving up money and buying the DVD from my nearest ABC shop which was all the way in the city, and watching it over and over again.

Dalek is the best episode, featuring them, of the current run of Doctor Who. The vocal performance of the Dalek was spot on, the fear in Christopher Eccleston's Doctor's voice was palpable.

Oh nice is Doctor Who coming back? I can't wait to see how The Doctor (played by Capaldino) will react to his weird dream of Ypres, Villengard, the South Pole and a messy memory of himself! I bet this time he'll wake up trying to assure the Brigadier that "the brontosaurus is large and placid" rather than worrying about good old Lynx "perverting the course of human history". Nick Briggs is such an awesomely-talented guy for doing all these incredible voices (as well as various other aliens from the last 15 years). You can tell each of the different Daleks apart from the voice. I'm so glad he's continuing to work on DW. Finally, I had great fun trying to spot all the Daleks in the background of this video too. I absolutely adore Death to the Daleks! One of my favourite classic era serials and I'm glad it's one of yours too, Nik!
BTW Nick in the very unlikely event you actually read this, just wanted to say I listened to the Time Lord Victorious audio story Mutually Assured Destruction the other day and I was just blown away by how you have to carry virtually that entire story by yourself (minus the ever awesome Paul McGann of course) with the different members of the Dalek Time Squad all arguing and opposing each other. My favorite dalek line is from the 2005 series with Christopher Eccleston, when the lone dalek is escaping the cage in episode 6 and it says âthe daleks survive in meeeeeeâ

You should have reminded us of *"They survived through me!"*
My introduction to the daleks was providentially stumbling on it in the early 1980's on a Saturday morning. It must have just entered syndication here in the US. The episode was none other than "Genesis of the Daleks Part I." What a great introduction it was, with what was to be my favorite doctor, the great Tom Baker. . . . and now I sit here, years later, with the amazingly detailed Dalek statue showing the casing open to reveal the kaled mutant inside at its controls . . . It was awesome to hear Nick recreate their final episode speech! The future of the daleks is in excellent hands!
My personal favorite:
'You would make a good dalek' to the doctor. That hits him so deep
And they've told him that more than once. Imagine facing your absolute most dreaded enemy. Nothing you hate more than them. And you know they can't feel anything except hate. And somehow they respect you so much they can see a kinship. Nothing could hurt the Doctor more.
When he said let's see. He straight up sounds like Davros
