I used to feel the same about the Damier Ebene print as someone who strongly favors LV Monogram and has most of my LV bags in the latter. Then, years ago, I chose to venture outside my comfort zone and bought the Eva clutch in Damier Ebene. It quickly became my go to and most used bag not just because of the size but due to the ease of being able to grab and go regardless of not only the weather but regardless of the outfit. Most cite watermarks as the reason to eschew the monogram print but color transfer from clothing is a huge concern with the vachetta trim. In short, still prefer the monogram particularly when paired with black leather or treated vachetta, but have grown to love the more demure sophistication and care-free ease of Damier Ebene. In fact, just purchased a vintage LV bucket bag in Ebene for these exact reasons. This print shows hardly any wear which is another major reason it's beloved by many now including myself. Great review! The Speedy 20 in Damier Ebene is now on my wish list.
I really love this bag in the Damier Ebene. Not sure how I feel about he jacquard strap but I do love it with the strap from the SpeedyB 25. Thanks for a great review!
I purchased the Speedy 20 Damier Ebene on the first week release and it’s my MOST used bag. I did change the strap to the brown matching as well. I love how it doesn’t have vachetta, so I’m not worried about rain 🌧️ damage especially now with our weather changing. I also like how it’s versatile, the extended zipper, not commonly used like monogram that everyone has, and it’s not floppy like the speedy 25. It’s honestly a workhorse of a bag. 🖤🤎🖤🤎🖤
I love the speedy 20 I own the monogram version in the speedy 20 with the black strap but I sold the guitar strap because I felt like it was overwhelming the bag although my views are different on the speedy 20 in damier ebene as that print looks awkward on the speedy 20 but I love the damier ebene print on bigger speedy’s like the 25 or the 30 as it looks more classy and elegant just my opinion 🤎🤎🤎
Hi, I completely agree with you, the DE print doesn’t look great on this bag. I bought the monogram and find it sooo cute and this is the first mono bag I have liked. I am just scared to ruin the vachetta 😢

Hi Merfy! I agree that the Speedy 20 looks better in monogram. I prefer LV Monogram in smaller bags and slgs and Damier Ebene in the larger bags.

I have the monogram version and pair it with a monogram or vachetta crossbody strap. I love the handbag. Highly recommend it as well.
