- Today we'll make sakura tea with pickled cherry blossoms! Sakura tea is the perfect drink to go with Japanese sweets. This tea is made with pickled cherry blossoms and is very different than other flower or herbal teas. Try pairing it with some Japanese sweets such as wagashi or daifuku.
Here's what you need to make sakura tea:
♦ 1-2 pickled cherry blossoms
♦ 2 cups
♦ a spoon
♦ hot water

Thank you!! Now I am glorying in this lovely, gorgeous cup of springtime, to celebrate the unfolding season outside my window.
(SOOO much better than the salty cup I tried at first, without instruction!!)
Thank you we made our own tea and collected our own sakuras, it tasted good, fresh fallen snow gives me nostalgia of linch , it's a russian cartoon/minecraft channel with really high quilty plot , i didn't first unbelievable Tthhaa it was minecraft, I would remconed with the tea and linch, and of course your chennel
Just received my 100g batch straight from Japan and gonna try my best. Seems like a challenge even for experienced tea lover, but that's what makes it interesting.
Thank you so much for this video! I bought cherry blossoms while I was visiting Japan and thought that the granules in the jar was sugar. I had quite the surprise when I tried my first cup and wasn't sure if I was doing something wrong or not. I'm excited to try again with the correct way of steeping this time, haha!
I hope you like it better the 2nd time :) You can also use them as decorations for desserts if you don't like the tea.
Nice!
Thank you, I had my first cup for the spring to keep up my spirits while in quarantine just now. I love teas in general but had never prepared my own Sakura tea before, and this was just what I needed. Not kidding about gentle removing the salt for sure. My large fingers made that part hard, lol.
Hey Justin, sorry for the belated reply as I was working on a tea project that kicked off just before covid started. Glad to hear you enjoyed the sakura tea! :) What teas do you normally drink?
@@JansFoodStepsI have the cupboard filled with a lot of darker, and roasted flavors at the moment. I have a few Oolongs i have been meaning to drink up, but i always start my day with either a Lapsang or and Irish Breakfast(or a mix I've prepped that is combined with a few, there).
I'm just dabbled into Lapsang recently so I don't know much about it yet. Looking to learn more and expand my tea repertoire. :)
Hello thanks for your time and showing how to make this tea I buy some lost year and I just tryout after I watch your videos well I did same you did but I just have a doubt is this salty taste or you can ad sugar or other sweet,? Thanks
Awesome video!!

Is it just supposed to taste tangy and salty? I didnt really taste muh other than that. I think i did it wrong. I just put it straight into two cups and water with two leaves.

Hi Eigile, apologies for the late response as I am not knowledgeable about this so I went to ask my Japanese friends. They said it's not common to use fresh cherry blossoms for tea or in cooking.
