I wanted to add my two cents to some of the comments below. Aero-Swing is a wind resistant product, not meant to be a weight, although it has to weigh something. Matt was using his same method he has used for other swing speed products, use it for 10 minutes and measure the results. His results were incredible to see, although we have seen similar results with other folks who have used our product. The goal is to use Aero-Swing over time, and maintain a higher level of swing speed than what you had before you train with Aero-Swing. Some of you remember Jodie Mudd, winner of the 1990 Players Championship. Jodie has worked with me in fine tuning the training of Aero-Swing. Attached, you will see a video of him going from 96MPH to a sustained 103 MPH, and a max of 108MPH since using Aero-Swing. If you notice in the video, Jodie is hitting balls with Aero-Swing on his own driver. We want you to train this way too. Aero-Swing is a patented product that provides the maximum resistance at the point of ball impact. No tube sock or pool noodle can do this. The object is to train your swing speed while you are maintaining your original swing plain. You will notice that the loft of the ball flight is lower than normal when he strikes the ball, that is normal too, especially when you first start to train. Your hands will be far in front of the clubhead, simply caused by the drag of the aero-swing product. Once removed, a golfer will feel the speed, as evidenced by Matt going from his previous max of 110, to a new max of 117. Aero-Swing also makes a great warmup tool before each round. I use aero-swing 14 times while I am on the course, place on the shaft of driver (no extra tools involved), and practice swinging before each drive. Not legal to do on the pga tour, but ok for me and my hacker buddies; same as a footwedge! I know that there are a lot of golf purists on this thread, and I wish I had the skill some of you have. Thank you all again for your interest and your comments. I hope I answered some of the questions you may have had. Bill Orosz, Aero-Swing inventor. Jodies video: czcams.com/video/1fJcn-urqRw/video.html Thank you again Matt for reviewing Aero-Swing!

Before watching the video I was skeptical about the Aero-Swing but afterward I decided to try the it. I ordered them from the Brazilian River company because of their excellent return policy. I figured I couldn't lose. I'm a senior golfer who joined a club and started playing a less than five years ago. Last fall I hit drives on the Flightscope and averaged 208 carry. I've used the Aero-Swing 3-4 times a week for the last 6-8 weeks singing with two units on a spare driver virtually identical to my regular driver. I did both free swinging (about 80%) and actually hit balls (about 20%). Last week I was tested again on the Flightscope and I averaged 223 carry. I play a 9/9 hybrid course of mens/senior tees. I've had my longest drives (by a significant difference) on seven of the 13 par 4s and 5s on our course since I began. My iron play has similarly improved. My playing partners have noticed my distance improvement. I heartedly recommend at least trying the Aero-Swing.

One of the biggest things I have learned from you Matt, is to NOT swing for the fences. 100 yard shot, take more club, 3/4 controlled swing, knock it on the green. Seeing you play within yourself, simple, "boring" golf ( fairways and greens) has really helped my game. I am going to stick with 240 off the tee, and a 3/4 swing, approach shot. When I am 175 yards out, thanks to YOU, I now think; " I got this."

Back in the early eighties I bought a air resistance stick with fan like propellers. It seemed awkward. But Matt what you are displaying seems more user friendly. Sometimes I share swing thoughts with my taxi passengers. Like after one hour of holes in one on the PGA Tour I noticed how the left leg straightens on the downswing. I feel a critically important movement if I want to keep my head steady over the ball. Be great be good and be lucky lol

I'm more curious how these products work for more beginner golfers or people who aren't already at a higher end swing speed. I got out of golf for 15 years and only started up in August 2020. I went the rest of the season just playing 4H through wedges and got fit for a driver at the end of the season. Because I haven't hit a driver in 15 years, my current carry distance is like 210 yards. I'd love to just get to a 240 carry.

The issue with "resistance" type training aides is that they require a different neurological recruitment of the muscles required to perform a particular movement pattern. In other words, you are priming muscles that you won't be firing when you use just your regular club. Same for baseball players and "weighted" bats. No bueno! You will ALWAYS feel faster once the weight is removed, but it doesn't elicit the correct sequencing and firing of muscles you need to actually hit the ball better. Just sayin'!

It’s overspeed training and Matt was comparing pre pine cone baseline (at 100%) to post. On course would be normal controlled swing x% faster than pre training. That’s the idea at least. Martin Borgmeier has YT videos doing the same type of training with his driver (no training aid, just club and no ball).
I Read a review online by a HS coach who stated he and his players saw gains after going through the recommended 6 week program. Plenty of commenters also reported back success. Also seems safer than weighted speed training in terms of injury risk.
I’d be curious to see Matt’s comparative results hitting balls with a controlled swing after going through the program and then another check in later on to see if gains maintained.
