It's pretty obvious that people just simply do not understand how powerfull these cars are and just how great to drive they are. It's not about stickers, scoops and badges all the time.
This car is a real icon and was put together with true passion.
Not by a bunch of school kids with an XBOX or some tools on the dole! If you want scoops and badges with 1000 kws on it then piss off and do it to you're V6 VN commodore.
Or just buy a HSV and blow that falcon away

Tbh the last couple of fords and holdens are awesome cars and really don't deserve to be dying out. I have a 2010 xr50 and I fucking love it.

Legendary. But it's a shame it wasn't a 351 engine in it . It was only 351 Horsepower.
It has 465 hp and is a far superior engine than the old 351

With the Ford Falcon GT, Australia has managed to catch up to Americas Bumper Car zone.
The interior looked basic and old school for a top of the line car and looked to lack high speed traction, but other than that, that car looks and sounds like such a beautiful thing. I cant believe i'd ever say this but that's a ford I would be proud to own and there's nothing is more sexy on a car than the perfect shade of dark blue paint they picked on this one.

So its got 16kw more power than a FPV 335kw GT.
And 600Nm and 0-100km/h in 5.3 seconds with boost mode, while weighing a buttload more and carrying more people. Of course, it's also worth noting that a dedicated performance sedan is kind of a silly comparison to make...

Dan P the first FPV gts had a 5.4 iron block v8 Boss engine. In 260, 290 then 315 kw. They had quad cam 32valve. To reduce front weight they changed to the 5.0 litre alloy block v8. They shipped out the mustangs coyote engine and stripped it out and cleaned out the ports and oil and waterways and threw the internals in the bin. They rebuilt it with better Aussie parts. They then gave it the quad cam heads and supercharged it. They renamed the engine the Miami because they had no coyote parts in it.
A Cleveland unfortunately would be too heavy but a 5.8 Miami .... hmmmmm

The damn thing is meant to be driven. Driven. Not put on a pedestal and ooohed aaahed at. And it's made out of pieces you can purchase and/or repair if you scratch it. History will appreciate a good patina.

The Donor car the Facon was mass produced but this is a limited edition 550 total to Australia and new zealand, this car is basically a taxi

Its the same car they use for taxis in australia tehre are millions of them, obviuosly not as tuned but some are xr8 xr6 or simple falcons the donor car, these car handle like crap unless set up specifically for track , the steering wheel isnt even a racing or sporty one its the same as the taxi. This car is all about the engine which uses loads of petrol. Man its got a live axle, productions stops next year and all Fords will be imported. This is a bogan idol..
Ford should sent some of this monsters to Europe....

alcoholic mum yes it is. It is basically the old Pontiac G8. And the G8 replaced the GTO( Monaro). The point I was making, is that I feel Ford Motor company shot themselves in the foot by not offering a competitive model line up to GM, in the United States. I would have loved to had the opportunity to buy a Falcon with a V8. The only option I have car wise, is a Mustang. Having a 4 door option would be nice. I bet if they offered this model in the video, it would have sold like hot cakes in the U.S. Especially having the same Powerplant as the GT500. AND it's a manual transmission. I'm exhausted from seeing only autos. Takes away from the overall driving experience in my opinion.

Our governments actually paid them millions to stay but they took the money and the production away from Australia

They need to quit the mindset of marketing to the ones who can afford all the extras. They limit their product base by doing that. Selling by mass volume exceeds the need to boost price to gain profit from a few.

I knew there would be Holden bagging here, fuck up I love fords and Holdens and I would hve either car, when one does better its not a bad thing means the other comes with somthing better down the line. The holden has the advantage no ways about but the Ford has a passionate car that is a true muscle car. I belive the best car ever made in the modern era in Australia was the holden coupe or hsv gtos still an amazing car for its age and it still looks all Australian Muscle if only ford Australia brought out a last coupe Gt that would of been the Boss, imagine a Gt Cobra with this motor in one. Oh and only weighs 1300kg dreams can come true.. Oh well the Mustang and comaro's ar coming and we will forget about the Aussie Gt and SS. We probably lose the v8 supercars and get the NASCAR going round and round.
It's a loss and it won't be the same. Australia should torpedo their dollar somehow or something anything to keep the car-making in their country. It's a freaking pity.

I brought one new, fantastic engine, great brakes, the rest was mediocre at best, sold iit for a manual mustang, love the mustang to bits, the gtf was an overpriced taxi.

Look...its a great car in straightline sounds hot and has nice muscle overtones with a great engine, but it handles like on ice, the rear wheels spin like there is no tomorrow. Its a bogan icon and lets leave this fast taxi at that. Sure my hot Golf R is a liberated shopping trolley but I go fast and use less juice and have 4 motion :D
