indeed, thomas erak is amazing when he screams, sings, plays guitar and when he gets hair all over the place when he is just amazing which is just about everywhere! x
Man, Thomas' guitar tone is amazing! Gotta love Orange :) Thats why i play Orange now, 100% because of TFOT guitar tone. These guys are amazing, that beginning tapping part blows my mind
Drumming to music like this takes all the fatigue out of you. I drum, and if I try and drum for hours on end of practice I get tired very quickly. But when I put on headphones and play along to Doppelganger, I feel like I could play forever. Drumming to awesome music like this just exhilarates.
This is my favorite live video of this song and I've been watching it for 2 or 3 years, and I just now realized this was at a venue 35 minutes from my house and that my brother was at this show. Small world!
I saw them tonight...they played this song it was so freakin awesome...great intro indeed...right when they started playing the intro the crowd went wild :)
The Fall of Troy are one of my favourite bands right now, they just play so well together with such intensity. Also lol at how every live audience ever always thinks the song has finished at 3:33.
i saw them at the uk run this time around...met tim ward. well not met but i was smoking outside the back door and he walked past and said i should quit...haha. such an honour =)
Just to reitterate, I saw these guys on wednesday, in southampton, and they were unbeleiveable. It was so so so so so hot though, at one point Tom, simply collapsed because of the heat! Just amazing :)
i just seen TFOT last night for there last show in buffalo.and all i can say is amazing.well fucking worth it.thomas erak is amazing and gets the crowd going.and i started noticeing the drummer when they played dirty pillow talk he was going crazy.then they played like 20 seconds of mettalica and outkast so fresh so clean lmao.if i could go see them everyday for the rest of my life i would.
dude i agree with u... cuz when i saw them for my first time live...before i knew who they were i was impressed...and when i got there music in my ipod...i was like man it sounded better live.. but yeah they are amazing...
i love there little intro and all of you complaining about them being on guitar hero, its a good thing. there may be those annoying fans who just like FCPREMIX but it also attracts new fans who will listen to more of their material
that was fucking awesome. haha i love how hes fuckin rockin out through the whole thing then right at the end all you hear is this polite 'thank you' :D
I heard Manipulator first. And i really liked, Which made me want to buy the other two albums. I love all of the albums. They are all really good. end of.
Thomas Erak is by far the best guitar player I`ve ever heard. He`s the most innovative, you just can`t believe what he`s playing half the time, and the other half it`s impossible to figure out what he`s playing! There are only like 3 songs tabbed because the rest are SO HARD!!!!!!
i found out about Fall Of Troy from /mu/. They kept on rambling about TFOT. So i gave em a shot. So far, Doppelganger and Manipulator are my most favorite records from them.
im impressed that this guy comes up with awesome riffs and leads while singing, but omar writes/composes/produces almost all the parts of the mars voltas materials, not just guitars, plus he does everything on his jazz/solo cds, but youre right i think that he is going to just get better and better in the future
When I first heard these guys, I thought they were 2 guitars 1 bass 1 singer 1 drummer. But wtf they're only 3 and can still pull their stuff off live. The very thought of singing that while playing that at the same time scares me.
the intro isnt off the top of their heads its the official intro whenever they play this song live. they have an intro for almost all their songs live. thats why they're more than just amazing
Minus the everything you just said. Their music is really complex and precise. I'm not even that into them, and i can see how some folks might say something like that about some bands, but not this one. Their time signatures are CRAZYGONUTS. Also,... oh no wait thats it.
yeah man i agree! i mean shit i listen to like EVERYTHING from jazz, progressive, electronica, and more. and i became a huge fan of this band because they are ACTUALLY good, even though they are like of the hardcore genre (you can hear the influnces), but they are experimental/progressive (according to thier myspace). the guitarist is fucking amazing and is very talented. all you guys talking shit probably cant play as close to him or dont even play guitar, so give respect to the band
this is a great version because you can really hear andrew's drums. i love how he uses double bass in this song because its not just like an obnoxious metal constant beating. its actually rhythmically done and i think hes a great drummer. however tfot is getting to pop rock for my taste
my fav song is Reassurance Rests In The Sea but this is the 2nd fuckin' awesome band so sad that they arent so known they have potential over thousands of bands
Tomas doesn't really mess up, TFoT is an experimental progressive post-hardcore band, which means they get to do whatever they want on stage, like um..i dunno, EXPERIMENT! anyone who says they mess up playing live sucks and doesn't understand their musical vision. TFoT rules and Tim was the awesome-est ever btw, i've seen this vid like ten times and I never tire of that intro
I listen to mostly hip hop, but this is one of my favorite acts out, period. These guys can straight up play.
indeed, thomas erak is amazing when he screams, sings, plays guitar and when he gets hair all over the place when he is just amazing which is just about everywhere!
x
I often wonder if it must be like being Beethoven AND a symphony orchestra in his head.
Man, Thomas' guitar tone is amazing! Gotta love Orange :) Thats why i play Orange now, 100% because of TFOT guitar tone. These guys are amazing, that beginning tapping part blows my mind
So much energy he might have broke his guitar tryna the neck bend
Drumming to music like this takes all the fatigue out of you. I drum, and if I try and drum for hours on end of practice I get tired very quickly. But when I put on headphones and play along to Doppelganger, I feel like I could play forever. Drumming to awesome music like this just exhilarates.

that guys a beast on guitar and screaming.
i love this song so damn much, especially the intro.
I hear the intro and I...Jizz in my pants.
lol
this is my favorite song by them, i hate that the only song people know by them is F.C.P.R.E.M.I.X they have so many better songs
The Fall of Troy are one of my favourite bands right now, they just play so well together with such intensity. Also lol at how every live audience ever always thinks the song has finished at 3:33.
i saw them at the uk run this time around...met tim ward. well not met but i was smoking outside the back door and he walked past and said i should quit...haha.
such an honour =)
tom is one of my favorite guitarists! they need more songs on guitar hero!!!!
I love this intro, thats all I keep hearing lol
Just to reitterate, I saw these guys on wednesday, in southampton, and they were unbeleiveable. It was so so so so so hot though, at one point Tom, simply collapsed because of the heat! Just amazing :)
appreciate music for what it is
i just wonder how many more smiles have been brought to the world because of these guys....they've just made 1 more right here :)
this is by far one of the best live footage I've seen
My favorite of their extended intros. So fucking awesome.
i just seen TFOT last night for there last show in buffalo.and all i can say is amazing.well fucking worth it.thomas erak is amazing and gets the crowd going.and i started noticeing the drummer when they played dirty pillow talk he was going crazy.then they played like 20 seconds of mettalica and outkast so fresh so clean lmao.if i could go see them everyday for the rest of my life i would.
agreed, the fall of troy deserves their OWN station
yeah they have so many good songs
If you haven't seen them live, you really need to. They are incredible. This video does them no justice.
best song ever
Thank you
dude i agree with u... cuz when i saw them for my first time live...before i knew who they were i was impressed...and when i got there music in my ipod...i was like man it sounded better live.. but yeah they are amazing...

My favorite live version of this song
Amazing. I'm obsessed with this song.
They're a badass rock band. Happy everyone?
Gotta love Toms tapping on the fly.
I love how good the drummer was no matter HOW wasted he was hahaha. I seriously wish I could have seen them live :( THERE'S STILL HOPE!!!
i guess im lucky to live in seattle, i've been to every el corazon and bumbershoot show these guys have played =]
First time I remember hearing this song was from this video, that was like 4 years ago. Still the best live video of this song.
RIP TFOT hopefully something new will be produced by these music gods
One of the most awesome bands Ive ever heard
so cool
SICKESTTTTT guitar in the beginning.
This band is amazing in almost every respect, although his vocals live seem rushed, it's still brilliant.
mouths like sidewinder missiles is their best song, I could cry, legend band!
i love how the crowd and is chanting "hey!" on the snare hits.
i hope that happens Dec 10!
fuck its gonna be awesome to see them live
How was the show?
This was the first song by fall of troy i heard since then ive been adicted to thomas eraks tapping! :D, Awsome band and awsome song

TOM IS AMAZING
Beautiful! This video kicks ass, and the audio is wonderful. It's DVD quality.
This performance is really awesome!!!
dude i know right, not only the intro but the whole song is the sickest shit. damn hes such a good guitar player. fall of troy rule!
best song ever =]
Ah damm, Thomas got my symphony goin' all over the place again.
i love there little intro
and all of you complaining about them being on guitar hero, its a good thing. there may be those annoying fans who just like FCPREMIX but it also attracts new fans who will listen to more of their material
I get to see them live in a couple weeks.
Best instrumental opening to a song ever
my god he is sooo good!?!
I give them props for sheer energy
*Rolón*
yea i totaly agree ive been listing to them for about 4 years and each album is better than the last
You are very welcome, Thomas.
that was fucking awesome. haha i love how hes fuckin rockin out through the whole thing then right at the end all you hear is this polite 'thank you' :D
I heard Manipulator first.
And i really liked, Which made me want to buy the other two albums.
I love all of the albums.
They are all really good.
end of.
really, Great!
i wish there was a vid of them playing whacko jacko at the norva with this sound quality. that would be amazing.
first song i heard from them was 'the adventures of allen gordon', second was 'what sound does a mastodon make'.
absolutely love them ^_^
x
Holy fuck Tim's screams are rediculously nice. I miss him :(.
Thomas Erak is by far the best guitar player I`ve ever heard. He`s the most innovative, you just can`t believe what he`s playing half the time, and the other half it`s impossible to figure out what he`s playing! There are only like 3 songs tabbed because the rest are SO HARD!!!!!!
best song from TFOT imo !
wow...they sound awesome live, i wish i could see them:(
THIS VID IS BACK?! YES!
More than awesome.
I would be happy with half his guitar's skill :S
so sick
i found out about Fall Of Troy from /mu/. They kept on rambling about TFOT. So i gave em a shot. So far, Doppelganger and Manipulator are my most favorite records from them.
the drummer is insane
im impressed that this guy comes up with awesome riffs and leads while singing, but omar writes/composes/produces almost all the parts of the mars voltas materials, not just guitars, plus he does everything on his jazz/solo cds, but youre right i think that he is going to just get better and better in the future
I fucking love the way the guitar sounds in this song! Amazing!
When I first heard these guys, I thought they were 2 guitars 1 bass 1 singer 1 drummer. But wtf they're only 3 and can still pull their stuff off live. The very thought of singing that while playing that at the same time scares me.

And Dont forget Andrew. Erak writes the music and He preforms it. PURE TALENT
Thomas is crazy!!!!!!!!!!!!
luuuucky i wanna go to the new haven one..
Minus the everything you just said. Their music is really complex and precise. I'm not even that into them, and i can see how some folks might say something like that about some bands, but not this one. Their time signatures are CRAZYGONUTS. Also,... oh no wait thats it.
Honestly I enjoy this band more when they just sing, and leave the screamo out. Great talent and a breath of fresh air to whats out there right now.
hell yeah. a bit of a drive to tacoma, but definetly worth it.
I fucking love this guy, hes a god.
im going to be seeing them tonight
FUCKING TONIGHT
IM SO PUMPED
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
dude once you see Frank Black live you'll never miss Tim again =P
yeah man i agree! i mean shit i listen to like EVERYTHING from jazz, progressive, electronica, and more. and i became a huge fan of this band because they are ACTUALLY good, even though they are like of the hardcore genre (you can hear the influnces), but they are experimental/progressive (according to thier myspace). the guitarist is fucking amazing and is very talented. all you guys talking shit probably cant play as close to him or dont even play guitar, so give respect to the band
I love the bassist's slide from like 11 to 2 at 0:34 to 0:36 .
he is crazy good at guitar
INTENSE!!!!!!!
I love how the fall of troy is the only successful 3 piece band I've ever heard of
It's a shame that Tim left, but Frank does a really great job in his place.
they are so fucking powerful live. This performance is astounding. Fall of Troy is incredible. Rastafari
wow the live intro is so cool with all the shiz at the start before the orginal intro!
this is a great version because you can really hear andrew's drums. i love how he uses double bass in this song because its not just like an obnoxious metal constant beating. its actually rhythmically done and i think hes a great drummer. however tfot is getting to pop rock for my taste
GNARLY BARLY
my fav song is Reassurance Rests In The Sea but this is the 2nd fuckin' awesome band so sad that they arent so known they have potential over thousands of bands
