Quite right. Ofcourse both Kholi and Rohit’d find the going very very tough against Bumrah and Shami in this kind of form. Bumrah nailed Rootie for a duck, did’t he? Rootie is a great batsman. One really has to feel for Bumrah, at this point he's created an aura for himself such that no one is going to try and hit him. It's the same thing that's happened to Rashid Khan, only that Rashid tends to then go for runs searching for wickets. But bowling in tandem with Bumrah allows people like Shami and Siraj to get more wickets, because these guys are the only alternatives to score off. He's not a defensive bowler in the way Jadeja or Hazelwood are, but he's put the fear of God into batsmen and they've essentially made a collective decision to just play him out.

    • @areebsiddiqui758

Helps that he's amazing in all three phases of the game. For instance, Starc can be erratic with the new ball, Boult tends to go for runs at the death. Bumrah is fantastic in the powerplay with the new ball, is always the guy you turn to in the middle overs when needing a wicket and he's probably the greatest death bowler of all time.

I don't agree. Bumrah is a class act, but he cannot bowl fancy balls all the time. His balls have to be in line lengths and angles that take wickets.
He took 1 wicket in 5 overs.
Shami and Siraj were both at 3 wickets in their first 2 overs.
Shaheen also takes wickets nearly every ball, or every over.

Mohmmad Shami's stats are absolutely insane
    45 wickets in 14 matches
    Bumrah is brillant no doubt
But shami is as good as starc in odi world cups
He didn't play all matches in the 2019 wc and this world cup too
He would atleast have 60 wickets until now easily
Bumrah is that bowler who will not give you more wickets but he's extremely economical which helps creating the pressure
While siraj goes for runs as he is more aggressive pitches the ball up
Whereas shami can take wickets during middle overs as well as the end his seam position helps him to really move the ball

Bumrah has come back to the side as if he just went on a holiday, rather than due to a major injury. Siraj can be a little erratic, but when he gets it right, he's a scary sight. To be such a great bowling attack, at this moment in time of cricketing history, when the game is absolutely batter friendly (280- 300 being the par score for a team to defend) is phenomenal to say the least. But much more than anything else, this Indian team has an incredibly positive psychological profile compared to teams in the past. They are aggresive but not at the cost of the innings itself. Virat's measured 49th century, Shami's unassuming but deadly accurate seam and swing, Siraj's nippy cutters and swings, Bumrah's unreadable bhangra runup (does anybody else think he is the Harbhajan of fast bowling in the way they have very distinctive bhangra runups and with both being Sikh??!?!!!😅), Jadeja's ability to read the wicket and last, but definitely not the least, Kuldeep's ability to make each run a chore, is what makes this bowling lineup so great. They complement each other so well because as a unit they have all the tricks in the book in their repertoire and given a batting lineup that backs them with the opposite ends of the innings, they have the wherewithal to put in their best. I've always thought that with India's predominance in the cricketing world and it's influence due to it's financial clout as a market in world cricket that pitches have been turned deliberately into flatter ones to favour our batsmen since we were a batter predominant side for most of ODI history. Given that, it's heartening and joyous to see a bowling attack that innovates given the batter friendly environment we have in cricket these days.

The thing with this Indian bowling attack is that it has been relentless. All 5 look like they might pick up a wicket anytime. Even though many of the same guys were there in 2019, typically one spinner and the 5th option (mostly Hardik) would give something of an easier option for batsmen. 5 out of 5 wicket takers is pretty difficult to negotiate.
