What kind of debris can damage a vacuum cleaner?
Using a vacuum cleaner while cleaning is a great solution in most cases. But it turns out that not all garbage can be collected using a household appliance. There are contaminants that can cause it to break.
Liquids
Using a dry vacuum cleaner to pick up any liquid may result in electric shock. In any case, this will negatively affect the device itself. To remove water, juice and other liquids from the floor, use suction wipes, mops, or paper towels.
Wet products
Scattered sugar, salt, and cereals can be collected with a vacuum cleaner. But in the case of cooked foods, this should not be done. Wet pasta, salads, coffee and tea grounds will clog your appliances, and if they are not removed in time, you will also have to deal with the unpleasant odor emanating from the appliance. Moisture can also damage the engine.
Construction dust
Do not vacuum immediately after repair work. If you decide to buy a vacuum cleaner to restore order, then it is better to abandon this idea. Construction waste contains small particles that can damage the engine. To save equipment, nerves and money, remove construction debris using a dustpan and broom.
Glass and ceramic shards

Collect large glass by hand. Use a brush or broom to remove debris. You can check the quality of cleaning using tape.
