  • A very warm welcome once again to our channel. Thankyou to our new and existing subscribers and fasten your seatbelts for our Autumn Adventure, it's great to have you along !! :)
We're off again and this trip will take you to Atlantic coastlines, stunning French towns and villages, the beauty of the French Alps and everything in between!
In Part 15 it was sadly time to head for Dieppe Ferry terminal and head back to the UK. We weren't going straight back to beautiful Tenby - instead we were staying at Gatwick CAMC site first then onto the Caravan and Motorhome Show Oct 2023 to stay at the NEC pop up site whilst we spent 3 days at the show.
This has been a fantastic trip once again and we are very grateful for your subscriptions, comments, likes and for travelling with us across France. Thank you to you all.
This series of films follows our Autumn 2023 6 week trip to France in our A Class 2021 Mobilvetta K-Yacht 79 Teknoline, towing a small trailer on which we now have 'Peggy', a 2023 Lexmoto Pegasus 300cc scooter :)

Just found your channel and subscribed. We now have lots of content to watch. Could you please identify where that beautiful Mountain View was taken at the end of the intro.

Thank you so much Chris and good to have you on board.
That amazing scene was a park up at Mont Blanc as part of another adventure 😀☀️
This was the actual film - a stunning morning scene :

Great video thanks. Couple of questions please , have you ever had any adverse interactions with the French police, I’ve heard they can be a menace and has the police or authorities wanted to ever weigh the motor home to ensure it’s within the weight limits ? Thanks. Joe

Morning Joe and thanks for watching :)
No, we haven't had any interactions with the French Police and they've always seemed fine from a distance! I've not seen any vehicle check points where motorhomes were being weighed either albeit you sometimes read of such on Social Media - not sure I believe a lot of what is written!! I stick by be 'reasonable and polite' and you'll be ok even if stopped. We carry all documents and have the Angles Mortes stickers and all the other requirements to hand so try not to attract attention - start point! I avoid almost all motorways, when possible, from a cost and scenery point of view but have also noticed concentrations of traffic police on those roads, sometimes at the toll booths where they watch vehicles funnelling through the barriers at slow speed - perhaps another reason to avoid :))
Weight is an issue in terms of some of the really low payloads that exist on some motorhomes and I'm sure there are a lot of unwittingly overweight vehicles out there having seen the way they calculate the payload amounts - hence we did that payload film a while back on the channel - even at the motorhome show this year I spoke to several sales people and asked about payload and they just didn't understand the issue in detail which is very worrying as it affects your insurance!!

Thank you very much. I’ve become quite inspired by your French travels so will definitely take a trip down this year. Many thanks. Joe

Hi to you both, I have enjoyed your trip and would just like to know if you prefer to take the boat rather than the tunnel if so why, only we live near Portsmouth and would like to sail from here when we eventually get to France

Morning Steve and thanks for watching and for your questions.
The only science to it was cost - the tunnel - I had a load of Tesco vouchers to use which brings the price way down but the cheapest way across, without vouchers, is the Newhaven to Dieppe route. You can book online, but, if you want the Over 60 discount too then you have to physically ring them (you may still be a Spring chicken!) - I've just booked an April crossing one way and it was only £102 with the discount - that includes the trailer and scooter too.
      Both methods are great !!

😅 I’m only just Over 60 so don’t know if that’s good or bad but in this case good, thanks for the info safe travels @@motorhomingadventures

Just wondered if you parked up in Dieppe or went straight to the check-in.? We'll be returning from our next trip to France on the night ferry and will need to 'hang around' for a while before leaving at midnight.

Morning BigAlb and we used that park up about 6 miles out at Varengeville-Sur-Mer which gives you a 20 min run into the port - it's a good spot.

Thanks for that - I should have phrased my question better. I meant did you park in Dieppe whilst waiting for the ferry? I would rather wait in town for the midnight ferry than negotiating rural roads (with less than great Fiat headlamps!).If you get my drift.

True that and no straight into the port but there were a fair few parked on the PIN below and then it’s along that ‘Quai De L’Avenir’ to the board point. Didn’t look at any parking signs for that though :)
