    We call this tejpatta in india ... the leaves usually dry and fall to the ground and are a regular in the spice box... put after heating oil and cumin ... later add the vegetable of choice and cook... they add a nice flavor to the food but aren't eaten

    Always great content. I read the comments, too. There are people asking questions that are answered in the video. Makes me wonder, if they even watch the video. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and patience. 😃

    Thanks for showing the pics of the trees!! Beautiful tree! Wish I had more room!!✅🌳What is the difference between Cassia and Cinnamon? Seems to be used interchangeably.

      Different species, different quality of cinnamon, and different amounts of blood thinner.

    Can you do one on the difference between male and female "Palo Azul" or Kidney wood tree? I had always purchased bark that gave me blue tea but recently I found a vendor that sells bark with a heavy purfume like yellowish tea

    Hello! I am curious about the Chinese cinnamon, Cinnamomum aromaticum. What I am curious about is the anti blood clotting affects of it. I have a very thick blood and I am O negative RH Negative blood type and I have M.S. a rare form of it with a history of kidney problems. Just to give a small background. Would the Chinese Cinnamon be better or rather safer to take for me? I have poor circulation and have dabbled in natural cures and wild herbs for quite some time, but haven't found much to help except liver, which can be a pain to keep buying and I grow tired of eating it quickly, Doctors have said I am supposed to eat it 2 x a week. I do love liver but yeah I grow tired of it, and without it after 2-3 weeks I feel slow, sluggish and got the blahs. How do you know what Cinnamon your are buying ? I do read labels but these days they make the darn words too small to read! Ok I looked at the ones I bought, and they don't even tell you what type! Only a distributer is listed on the bottles.

    I think there's an Australian gum tree from which a cinnamon oil can be commercially extracted.

    Thanks for the video Green Dean! I heard that Cinnamon helps those with diabetes & some people take in in place of medicine. Not sure how true this is or if you know much about this? Say, with all your knowledge of weeds, could you literally live off the land on weeds alone perhaps mixed with some eggs and poultry for Vitamin B 12?

    • @greendeane1
      @greendeane1 Před 2 lety +3

      Interestingly the sumacs have a lot of the B vitamins including B12.

      @@greendeane1 What part of the Sumac has that? The fuzzy fruits soak in water to make ta tea, the tender branches, the shoots or the seeds buried under the fuzzy fruit? I will have to check out your site to see if you expand on this. Thanks again!

    What is the difference between the normal cinnamon and the Jamaican cinnamon. I know the Jamaican cinnamon u can use the leaves.

    • @greendeane1
      @greendeane1 Před 2 lety +1

      What you are calling the Jamaican cinnamon is the one I mention in the video, Canella winterana that is considered toxic though you can buy it as a spice.

    I love your content and want it to be successful. Music and sound effects are dual channel, but your camera audio is only coming in the left channel. You can mix the audio using an audio filter to camera sourced clips, that should fix the problem.

    • @greendeane1
      @greendeane1 Před 2 lety +1

      I really have no idea what that means. It sounds fine when I edit and when I view it on the internet.

    I dont get it Most of the sound (talking ) is silent. Iheard the music but when it was just him talking nothing....
    Anyone else with this problem other videos are fine Just his have no sound.

    • @greendeane1
      @greendeane1 Před 2 lety

      With regrets I have no solutions. Perhaps it is a setting on your end. I am using the latest version of Imovie, I have a new stereo mic, and I know the music and voice are on different channels. I have no control over that. It might be your sound system is more sophisticated than my editing system. Most folks hear the video without any problem but with every video there is a person or two who can't hear the voice. If the problem is on my end I have absolutely no idea what it might be. Have you tried listening to it on your phone or another system? All the voice was recorded with the stereo mic except when I talk to the squirrel, which is the camera's mic. If you can't hear both of them then it might be the voice channel that is eluding you rather than the recording devices on my end.

      @@greendeane1 Yeah I dont understand why either.
      Every other video works fine Except for yours
      I even tried setting up automatically close caption to see if it will work nothing when you are talking except during your outside stuff.
      I tried it on 2 other computer systems one of which is from 2014 still nothing .
      It is weird.
