I used to get calls saying my car warranty was up. One day I decided to tell them that I did not own a car because I own a helicopter. I didn't hear back from the number for a while. Today I got a call that said my helicopter insurance was up.
That's hilarious. I gotta appreciate their effort at least.

I don't like thinking about it at all. We have a pretty good idea of technology by today's standards. But imagine what we'll have 50 years from now. Most of us will be just as confused by it as our grandparents are. Which leads way to scams, hopefully there's better countermeasures.

If you start messing with them right away, then they realize their time is being wasted and hang up, but if you go through their script all the way to the end, then they can't effectively tell a scambaiting call from a real one, and at that point, hours are wasted.

CV N Ironically, you commenting on this person’s intelligence in relation to their acknowledgement of online scammers insinuates that one must be very smart to carry such information. In turn, this is also leaving one to assume that the opposite is true to those who aren’t aware of these scams (based around your comment), thus giving off the impression that only those between the levels of average stupidity to complete ignorance fall for those scams.
When the prior commenter mentioned the ‘suckers list’ they were using the punctuation in order to emphasize the way most scammers view Americans (AKA their prime victims). Of course, scams don’t just happen in America, but throughout many of these videos it is quite clear that some tend to refer to their ‘victims’ as ‘stupid Americans’ and such.
The commenter wasn’t referring to true victims as suckers, but was pointing out how screwed up scammers are using an assuming irritated tone based around the context clues in relation to the situation. So in other words, your statement could easily be taken as more offensive than theirs despite your positive intentions.
Of course, this is just something I found ironic and quite funny. As even though both commenters had good intentions behind their messages, the one trying to politely correct the first ended up inferring that those who fall for such scams don’t hold significant intelligence.
Why did I take the time to type this all out despite it adding nothing to the conversation, nor invalidating information previously laid out? Well my fellow commentators, the answer is simple.

I find it interesting that the "you're like my grandma" tactic, is something they use a lot. Is that to appeal to victims on an emotional level? Also, if I was an older person and someone said that to me, I'd be like "yeah..no."

My old mom got scammed by some people a while back. She was horribly embarrassed about it but it didn’t work and she kept her money. Your doing a service to humanity and need to be given a Nobel peace prize. Love your videos and keep up the great work. Ps. My mom is subscribed to your channel now.

Really appreciate what Kit has been doing for the last few years. His work has been enlightening. If one youth in every household takes it upon himself/herself to educate the elderly in that household, these scammers would be out of business!
