I think it's the same reason higher ranks can perform worse than what they thought in lower ranks cause in higher ranks it has a "flow" to it. I think you are breaking that flow and it is causing you to perform well
Agreed. There are ways that you play at high rank because you assume these things are going to be "True" (ie. Everyone buys Vandals/Phantoms, you almost never use an op on someone without Mobility, etc.), and so changing something as fundamental as what you do can throw off high ranked players because they are simply not ready or used to that thing. This is why in games like LoL, off picks can be some of the best things to play in ranked because people won't know how to deal with them correctly because they're not used to playing them.
It’s def a supporting factor to being hardstuck also, you can perform well in predictable environments (ie ascendant-radiant) but struggle in plat-gold cause people make their decisions with dice there

@@spl8507 0 mobility with an op is easier than using an Odin. There’s literally zero corner peeking with Odin because you need to ADS and it’s won’t instakill. Jett and chamber just make an op pointlessly easy to use.
@@hahahayi1017 With an odin if the enemy misses their shot on you they die anyways. Its the same concept as an op but minus the fact that an op has the same problem where if you miss you die where an odin doesnt. Odin in high elo is virtually easier than oping without mobility because an op on kj is pretty much 'one pick and you have a high chance of death & if you die they get an op for most likely their jett/chamber'
He should do this challenge when the stinger is nerfed

operator, just like Odin, is a super easy way out of this challenge, I was super excited to this challenge because how it would change the dynamic of the game since valorant is so stuck in the same game play, but as soon u pick up an op I new this would be just a normal game where u hold angles, trade kills and focus on gunplay, the mobility that no rifles bring was lost when u half of the video u hold the slowest gun in game, I say that even though I absolutely adore operators and your content
Hes playing killjoy choosing an op is a bigger risk due to that
@Ovidiu Candidiasis OMG I was waiting for some to comment that, let's f go. thanks. soooo valorant really put a lot of value in abilities and create "boxes" for the characters, and people lock themselves in these boxes, like, yeah for sure, have mobility will get u out of a lot of situations with an operator but it's definitely not a must, every single character is viable to play op and slaughter the enemy team, I don't think the risk is big enough to match a truly no rifles challenge
@@_red.mp4 the boxes argument is really good but on agents like killjoy ops take more skill bcs ypu either hold tight angles or you get one tapped due to being to wide outwards while the op does bring a ton of value dying with it is also a huge detroment but keeoh is a stonger demon currently so maybe not as much but for many losing an op is like halfing your economy
