The noble swordsman, used by politicians, trains tirelessly in sword technique for revenge

During the late Tang Dynasty, Prince Liu captures the Duan Manor, and as Duan attempts to escape, he is saved by a great hero named Ma Yi. However, Prince Liu's forces later massacre the village where Ma Yi resides. All of this is witnessed by Prince Li. Prince Li sends someone to persuade Ma Yi to join his side, but when unsuccessful, he blinds Ma Yi with poison. Shortly after, Duan invites Ma Yi into his manor, where he sees that Ma Yi's swordsmanship is still incredible despite his blindness. Duan treats him as an "honorable guest" and uses him to eliminate Prince Liu. Duan sends assassins to stop Prince Li, but when that fails, he tries to kill Prince Li's daughter, Zhen Zhen. Fortunately, Ma Yi happens to pass by and saves Zhen Zhen. Upon hearing this, Duan becomes even more scheming. By this time, Zhen Zhen and Ma Yi have developed feelings for each other...
