Yes very well rehearsed. My sister who was 17 in 1964 remembers the Shangri-las as a "poor group." They were much less classy than the Supremes or any other girl group for that matter.
Yes! As my life ends to failure of my health, I truly know what an awesome life I have had, because of songs 🎵 and motown artists that touched so many people in the day... Yes growing up in Oakland CA for this white boy was as good as any life gets and I know it! I'm forever grateful for most of the motown artists, truly the best songs EVER! 🎵 it still makes you dance as you have never danced before. Life is always good to motown music. Thanks for sharing!
Florence Ballards mic is almost twice and far from her mouth than the other too. Been reading up on the supreme's history since watching it on Netflix, and she's know for her buxom voice! It's so sad that the world wasn't ready for a strong, gifted , Black, buxom woman like Florence Ballard. And worse she could not handle all the greatness instead her being stiffled because of how she looked and what her sounded represented. We're ready now girl! I hope you finally get the recognition you deserve!
This is the first song by the Supremes that my brother would play over and over. I can't believe its been 58 years since that time and only one original Supreme left. I think Motown had more songs and No. 1 hits in the 1960 than any other label at that time. When I think of all the Motown music I have collected over the years playing that music takes me back to that time when I was in the 7th grade. There are so many Motown artists that I like especially the woman and girl groups. It makes me feel sad that most of these very talented people are no longer around but their music still lives on. With Mary passing away last year and Wanda and Ronnie this year, I wish those who are still around good health and happiness.

My mom loved these ladies so much and it was the last cassette she was listening to when she had her car accident at age 42. It destroyed my entire world but I'm thankful for music, as it keeps her here with me in some way. I miss you so much mom. RIP
Hi Ricardo, my mom went out and when she arrived there they asked her if she wanted to perform to dance with them as showed on the video. They made an appointments first after seeing her dance before the clip was accually taken. So my mom showed up and the directory gave her instructions and so she began to dance as the music started. And when the clip was made the supremes had to approve first which they did. I dont know if you have seen the videoclip of babylove aswell cause there shes dancing with the blonde Guy in a leather jacket right behind the supremes aswell. Both clips were taken in Scheveningen the haque beach.
When I was a little girl , the only girl and youngest of 4 my mam had this on record and I pinched her vinyl and played this song over and over as I danced around my bedroom. My mam passed away 3 year ago and she said she wanted this song played at her funeral and it was , as much as this song brings back so many memories of me as a child it also breaks my heart to listen too as It brings back sad memories of the day I said goodbye to the most important person in my whole life 😢

Mary and Flo reunited forevermore RIP 🌹💕
@@Shane-Flanagan Absolutely.......Thumbs-Up!!
It's 2024, and I still love this incredible group! I have my late mom for helping me love this music❤🎶
I just love those precious faces Diana makes when she’s singing! ❤
Hello I am so sorry if this sounds weirds but you wrote such a nice and wonderful comment on here and like your comment. I can tell you're a very positive person. If it's okay with you I'd love to be friends.
Supremes are the most elegant girl group, maybe ever.
Hi, I hope you are doing ok and you and your family are all happy and well 😀 cute dog by the way. Take care xx
This song gave my goosebumps, take me back when my mother use to listening to it . Awesomely song. One of those song I never get sick of 🎤💥👌🏻🙌🏻
hey 👋how are you doing today??
Hello Tracy
One of the greatest heartbreak songs of all time
You must be nuts. The Supremes hated this crap.
WRONG!
Jeff Allinson, really?
Abba
Harry
They don't seem very heartbroken and yes I was around when it was released.
Good song! 👍
THE WAS, IS, WILL ALWAYS BE THE BEST MUSIC THAT WILL NEVER BE NO MORE 😭

My mom loved these ladies so much and it was the last cassette she was listening to when she had her car accident at age 42. It destroyed my entire world but I'm thankful for music, as it keeps her here with me in some way.
I miss you so much mom. RIP
Love this music. Rip the members who are now in heaven with Jesus.
All together singing with the angels forevermore 🌹🌷🙏
Amen
Thats my mom at the upper left in the video with the blonde hair !!!!
+laura roobol Hi, can you tell me about her history in the group? How did they start and where are now? I love that music and the 60's
Thanks
Hi Ricardo, my mom went out and when she arrived there they asked her if she wanted to perform to dance with them as showed on the video. They made an appointments first after seeing her dance before the clip was accually taken. So my mom showed up and the directory gave her instructions and so she began to dance as the music started. And when the clip was made the supremes had to approve first which they did. I dont know if you have seen the videoclip of babylove aswell cause there shes dancing with the blonde Guy in a leather jacket right behind the supremes aswell. Both clips were taken in Scheveningen the haque beach.
Hi Laura, your mom reminds me of my youth, seeing my parents dancing Rock and Roll like her. Can you tell me more about her biography?
+laura roobol Hey laura how is your mom doing now
Hi love loving,
Moms doing great and she still loves dancing.
It was a great time back in the 60's and she enjoyed it very much !!
When I was a little girl , the only girl and youngest of 4 my mam had this on record and I pinched her vinyl and played this song over and over as I danced around my bedroom. My mam passed away 3 year ago and she said she wanted this song played at her funeral and it was , as much as this song brings back so many memories of me as a child it also breaks my heart to listen too as It brings back sad memories of the day I said goodbye to the most important person in my whole life 😢
RIP...The Supremes. Will never be that kind of music again. Cherish
Hello Carolyn 👋🏼 how's things going there with you ?
There will never be music like this again. Blessed to have been a part of it with precious memories ❤️

I was amazed to hear that The Marvelettes turned this track down and that The Supremes weren't overly keen on recording it. Always get's me in the mood for a good ol boogie :)
I'm 63 yrs young I love Supremes I grew up in the south, listen to Motown, temptations, the Best
You can see how much they love what they are doing..great song from musical archives.💝

Hello Bryan!
I wish we could turn back the hands of time to this great music again instead of the crap they play on the radio today
That smile that soft voice❤
So feminine, so innocent, so vulnerable 💟 Bless these amazing women, leaving this level of heart and soul as a bygone era is such a crime. ❤🎶
Do you really think Diana was innocent? 🤔
@@rocksiirose4536 Is anyone really 100% of the time? She embodied innocence often though, and vulnerability with her emotions publicly. She was an absolute powerhouse though, and I'm sure had her moments of all sorts of human things. It's Easter as I write this- interesting time to be reflecting on Diana Ross's innocence- or that of any human I guess ☺

My grandma always played this song and my childhood is full of it lol She was 9 in June 1967 when this song first came out. I can’t imagine my grandma 9 years old dancing, I would love to see that. And I would love to see her “Mommy” (that’s what she always called her) and her “Nana” who was Cherokee Native American! I’m African American and Caucasian but my grandmas grandma was Native American!
...talk about a blending of cultures; God love ya...!
the pureness of this makes me smile and feel so happy
Hello Jay, how's things going there with you ?
Love the close up of Diana while singing . I could stare at them beautiful eyes all day . Lordy Mercy
I have always liked there songs and still do
Timeless!.. this song is immortal 👍🎶
This music touches my soul!
bien parler ptit ....
I was in the 3rd grade when this song came out in the spring of '64. I remember this playing on the radio while I was on my way out the door for school. As i walked to school that cold March day I could hear this tune in my head the whole day
Absolutely wonderful song, great fabulous group!! 🎶🎤🥰❤️💖 Wonderful Motown Music!*!! 🎶❤️💞💕
Hello Janet 👋🏼 how's things going there with you ?
The background dancers / choreography is top tier 😂 I like when they back up (at the 32 second mark) and I love to rewind it and watch Diana facial expressions ❤ the supremes voices just mesh together perfectly
One of the 60's best super groups ! Miss them.
Diana Ross has the softest and sweetest voice. I love hearing her sing.
This is so classic and nostalgic. Greatness are the Supremes
Another timeless classic that never gets old. Gotta love that hairdo on Diana.
