- *this is far from our final showdown, kid.
This one is coming out of left field, but I thought I could do it in the time I have left before having to work on something separate for a while. All in all, I don't think anything here was TOO standout from my end, but I wanted to be able to hit that final breakdown well enough. My next project for this channel will tackle a VERY familiar AU that's existed for about as long as the game.
In any case, whether you're a fan of Undertale or Dusttale, I hope you can enjoy this lyrical take!

I loved the lines about being bored and having fun in Triple the Threat and the Slaughter Continues. Glad they're back for this song.
I'm of the musical mind that motifs can also link with lyrics. Certain phrases in conjunction with particular melodies can be repeated to reinforce ideas or themes, even over different universes. But that's what makes it cool to use, as long as I don't over do it too much. Thanks for watching!
Fun fact: with headphones on, the original soundtrack has voices or whispers saying "Kill them" but one in particular sounds in pitch to papyruse's sound when talking. Aka that part refers to *murder's* schizophrenia developing, or as others know as "phantom" papyrus
The other voices/whispers also apply to the other “hallucinations” that sans has as he kills more and more. (In Canon!Dusttale at least)
They’re not as present as Phantom Papyrus, but they are there.
@@crackersandpie136 those too, in general i said phantom just so people understand, not everyone who likes dusttale knows the canon totally :p for example Some people still think murder has red eyes all the time. When he actually has normal sans eyes that change to red sometimes

You’re actually paying attention to the canon version of Dust (murder).
By that, I mean that he isn’t like, permanently red eyed, like most interpretations are.
you can also guess it's murder by his blue eye, encircled by red
Murder sans has dark white-pink shirt and darker jacket. Also diffirent mouth style.

I'm probably not the only one to notice this, but I like how at the beginning of the cover itself when the "You're late" text appears a corresponding "Your LV has increased." message appears as the sound effect subtly goes off in the background.

There's a lot of stand-out moments in this song, but I wanna spotlight 1:24 for how well you've managed to capture the pure vitriol in Sans' voice. Stuff's Hollywood-levels of quality!
From 0:36 the voice made it feel so personal.

You always have the best undertale songs with lyrics, I always look up to you alot since your voice is genuinely amazing and so is your lines, Even though my lyrical covers are uhm... hearable, I want to keep trying and see how much I can improve, even if I'm not that great at singing, the effort you put into these is genuinely mind-blowing hopefully someday I can get somewhere near your level even if only by a small amount.

jokes aside you popped off hard on this one. I really enjoy your lyric videos and this one is certainly no exception!
For that part in particular the entire phrase is "Thought I'd never take to... the flare... but I don't care about theatrics" and with that I sort of wanted to convey was that as Sans gains LV he's becoming more dramatic in a sense. While he says he doesn't care about it, he still loses parts of himself to the murderer's method of taking pleasure in their pain. There's a bit of hypocrisy sprinkled in there and such, but I'm sure you didn't comment for me to lecture you on my own lyrics for what was a throwaway joke LOL
