- Clemson suffered its first home loss since 2016, 31-30, in a down-to-the-wire game against South Carolina. After holding onto a 14-0 lead going into halftime, Gamecocks QB Spencer Rattler led the charge down the stretch, throwing for 360 total yards and 2 touchdowns. For the Tigers, Will Shipley had a strong outing, rushing for 132 yards and a touchdown on 15 carries. Clemson LB Jeremiah Trotter had 8 tackles, a sack, and an interception on the day.

It was only a matter of time man. You stay in the dog house long enough, you turn into one. Props to them for pulling away with the win, but next season is gonna be different with so many of their offensive weapons hitting the transfer portal. Clemson isn't losing hardly anyone.

Lifelong Gamecock fan, but I have to admit after the Florida loss I didn't give them much of a chance the rest of the year. Then After Tennesee, I was cautiously optimistic in hoping it wasn't a fluke or they they peaked last week. This game showed me that they have a lot more heart then I gave them credit for. This was a tremendous win, because no matter what happens in the first 11 games....you HAVE to beat Clemson.

It's great how the son's of the NFL's stars from the 80's/90's have been carrying on their father's legacy in these games in recent seasons throughout NCAA football. If these young men are half as successful as their fathers, their NFL futures look very bright.

Georgia fan here (but my wife is a massive Gamecock, and they are my 2nd favorite). You could tell even last year that DJ was ”off”. I truly don’t think he ever recovered from the first game last year, which just so happened to have been against my Dawgs. Seriously, we won on pick-6 he threw, and his confidence went down the drain. It was clear all year. Yes, he had a few good games here and there’s, but when they really needed him, he continuously faltered.

There isn't a bigger Clemson fan than I. However, I've got eyes and the truth isn't always what we want to hear. Our performance was horrific. QB play was the worst I've seen ever. Our secondary is terrible. Yet we have talent. It's coaching!! It is what it is!! Additionally, if Clemson is the best of the ACC . . then the conference has hit bottom. Get mad or say I'm a "fair weather" fan . . But that's not fair. It's truth. Congratulations to the Gamecocks . . they're the better team!

I mean, it wasn't that bad other than the passing and punt return fumbles. Yall were better offensive play callers that day for sure. SC showed a lot of heart being down 14 to zero and still playing tough. That’s a really tough place to play. Number 21 (I think - Nick EMMANWORI) is a massive safety. Wow! That guy could easily play Linebacker.

To be fair, the last coach had a similar comeback win. In that bowl game of year two over a Michigan team FULL of 5-star talent. So, Muschamp ALSO turned around a losing Gamecock team in the FIRST two years. So, here's hoping that Beamer's first two years KEEPS IT UP. We can do that starting with our bowl game....
Muschamp didn't have the quality wins Beamer has now. This Gamecocks team has beaten two top ten teams, and has four ranked wins. Not to mention breaking the TAM and Clemson streaks on the Gamecocks.
They win when I don't watch them play, so this year the win was important enough for me not to watch to insure the win. I sacrificed for the team 🤣 and the Cocks bought home the win! Way to go GAMECOCKS!!!

He reminds me a lot of Travis from FSU. At times can do amazing things with his feet. But just no where near consistent enough to lead such a great team. IMO
When Clemson only gives Shipley the ball a couple of times on the last couple of drives after he gashed SC all day, Clemson needs a new OC.

Almost the entire 4th qtr highlights are SC's special teams flipping the field. I read that clemson was so afraid of fake punts they left their starters on defense in for them, except for a return man. That ended up costing them a win.
Great game. A 41-game home win streak (vacated defeat due to 2020 matchup) ended for Clemson. Great sportsmanship by the Tigers in their moment of being conquered.

Congrats Carolina.... I'd say destroyed is an awful strong word for winning by a point. I can't imagine how SC fans felt when they lost at home by 30 last year. It must have been totally demoralizing. Anyway, this one no doubt stings; as Clemson as a team made a ton of mistakes today. Everyone knows that Clemson's offense didn't do much of anything in the second half, and most of it came down to decision making (on the field); and protecting the ball. When you can't generate any offense with only needing a FG to win a game, and you had multiple possessions to take care of business and didn't; it's a personnel thing. From a Clemson fan perspective it was obviously very frustrating to watch.

Yes, the passing game was a joke. Defense gave them numerous chances to pull the game out, but DJ U is not a top notch QB. He should have got the hook in the 3rd quarter.
Last year is over. We gave Clemsux everything to win and they failed. Pick 6, safety, inside the 5 twice and only 3 points. Our defense exposed the weak Clemsux passing attack. This teams wins maybe 7 in the SEC this year. Good luck in the meaningless ACC Championship game. Lol.

Not sure who's excited to watch this acc championship game between 2 average teams. Both lost to Notre Dame who's getting run over and off the field by USC right now and both teams lost the last game of the season to teams that aren't that good at all. Really down year for the acc, been a down past 5 or 6 years for the ACC if we are being honest.
