I saw this performance on television when I was in Luxemburg, in 1991. I recorded it on tape, but now, 20 years later I can finally see the performace again! ;-)
In the same festival Ursula Dudziak, Wolfgang Muthspiel and Jan Garbarek (with Manu Katche) performed.

I just came by to hear some Randy Bernsen. As far as Joe is concerned, I found myself wondering whether he shouldn't have stayed with Cannonball Adderly. I would take some real hard-bop over atmospheric space-jazz any day.
