Another fun feature of the modpack is that some of the ai racers are named after some of the testers, the cars even have their custom wraps! My custom ai is the p1 gtr, theres also the modders who worked on it getting their own cars!

iirc the sound from the BlackBox games is just the onboard sound of the M3 GTR, no? The TVR Cerbera file name is just a file name. BB's sound filenames aren't to be that accurate because they actually rename certain sound files between games, like the Porsche Cayenne soundfile from older games is renamed to some Mercedes instead for MW05 etc. That being said the TVR Cerbera does sound very close to it so I wouldn't be surprised if it was the base car they used for the soundfile instead.

Theo, the M3 GTR in Most Wanted and Carbon was actually Naturally aspirated. Also the original sound from Most Wanted/Carbon is actually from the onboard/interior sound of the car while the Heat Sound is the real sound from outside of the car.

I still prefer actual footage of the car. As for the game, love the old sound and Heat's one alike, but I much prefer Heat's one as it was in the context of this game. Combo of the old P60B40 sound and the newer straight cut gear whine is weird (for now).
The heat whine is basically the first 3 gears of the real m3 gtr, I think. Undercover had a similar whine for the first 3 gears for the me e46 then it had a more iconic whine after that.
I was going to say something. The wine comes from the straight cut gears. The actual car was also sequential shifting so it would be actually a dog box trans. The original car also came naturally aspirated. But in real life it was actually switched to twin turbo closer to the end of its life cycle.
Considering the actual M3 GTR E46 sounds more like this than what we got in NFS Heat, I was so disappointed when I found out it didn't sound like the real thing. There's a video I like to watch of a M3 GTR on the Nürburgring race track, and the sound is so damn good
I had a grip tune on the M3 on FH4 and made it sound quite close to the proper gtr that we all know and love. Wasnt the M3 GTR but the normal M3 but the same body shape of the GTR just without the kit.

@@gameclips5482 I heard something about the previous sound engineer left Playground Games and now he is working in Gran Turismo. Probably that's why in FM7 and FH4 most of the sounds sound bad while now Gran Turismo sounds don't sound like vaccuum cleaner like they used to.
This doesn't sound anything like the P60B40 ALMS engine, it sounds like a TVR Cerbera, exactly where it was taken from (even in MW and Carbon). The rev limiter should be at 8500, not 7500, and the engine comes with 500 hp stock, not 350. The model of the car is super crisp tho :O
friends, there is no sound from the M3 gtr itself since this car was only used 1 time and there is none for sale and the one that exists is in the BMW museum locked up and in the nfs mw we hear a tvr not a m3 gtr
