Thank you so much for this. My mum is bed-bound with alzheimers... I love to knit/crochet new bed jackets for her to see the smile on her face. This one is so easy that I can knock a few out in different colours xx
🧶 To make the shrug fit your size. Fold a bath towel in half ➖ put a safety pin 🧷 on each corner edge. Put your arms through the towel openings. The towel should fit from elbow 💪 to elbow 💪 across your back. Make a chain the length of the towel from elbow to elbow. 🧶

I have ordered some yarn to make this, but i would like to have thr sleeves a little longer just below the elbow so i guess i just measure from just below the elbow to just below the other elbow!!! Would this be the way to go and make my sleeves longer!!! and if i want it longer just add more rows to the length, this is what i would do!!! Just love the style, but just want a bit more coverage as i age!!! Thank you!!! I can put some clips on it when i finish and try it on and if it's ok i can go ahead and sew the sleeves!!!

Hello Naztazia. I have seen videos where they sew the sides of rectangle instead of the bottom of the rectangle for the sleeves. Is there any difference between sewing the sides or the bottom?
Sometimes there's a difference. Much depends upon the stitch used and which way the direction of the stretch goes (and if you want stretch or not). There's no right or wrong way - just different ways produce different results.

Yes, absolutely - I've made it with DK cotton too, and it's cool on the skin.
