The Shoe Snob - Up Close Details Series - Gaziano & Girling 'Savile' MTO

Here we take a look at the Savile Single Monk by Gaziano & Girling, one of England's finest shoemakers. This was a custom model that I requested in the hopes to have something that I could dress up but also wear with a pair of jeans, as I so frequently do.
It is no wonder that G&G is among the world's top makers, with exquisite craftsmanship to back up their reputation. While they have all kinds of finishing on their various collections, the double leather sole on these Saviles, shows a clean and simple closed channel sole detail.

do you ever put sole savers on your nice shoes? I do.. I find it comforting to leave the soul (sole) intact from the original build.. replacing the sole savers every year or so with normal wear... thoughts? maybe make a video on why you do or don't?

Come standard as elastic but you can choose to have leather if thats what you prefer.
