The ps3 controller is horrible. I used it every day from 07 to 13 - loved it at the time. But trying to use a ps3 pad today is torture for me. It's too small and light.

I used to have the launch day backwards compatible ps3. Then I sold it to gamestop for 30 bucks. One of the biggest regrets of my life, but I learned a lesson to never sell my games or consoles ever again. Edit: Yay, just got a Ps4. Don't worry, I'll still try to get my Ps3 back someday.

@@lorraine40t59 Yeah, I personally don't play online too much so I wouldn't be able to say. I mostly use it to play singleplayer games I was never interested in playing as a kid. Currently playing through the Uncharted series! I'd say it's worth getting even without the online aspect.
Ps2 is the best PlayStation for games. Ps1 was best for the next move in generations. I remember when I was in school a guy on my street got one we was all sneaking up to his window watching him play wipeout on it. When my dad got me an original PlayStation 1 that he had chipped was awesome. He could download games and burn them on a disc for me he chipped all my friends ps1 consoles too. I quickly became very popular I was pretty much the source for games for 80% of people in my year and a good 40% maybe more of people in my village. I could even get the ones that had been banned or unreleased in England like the fighting game thrill kill lol.
I just bought my second PS3 this week to fit and update all my 166 games on both 2 consoles for the future because of the ps3 closing shop. I have the White PS3 Superslim 500gb. And then my oldskool Ps3 Slimline 320gb. Finding all the games i would try secondhand shops and the internet. Thats where i bought all my games the last 4 years. Good luck.. Awesome to see your console was even still sealed.. I would update evertything while its still possible. Call of Duty Blackops i just played online yesterday and every time i got into a team Deathmatch without any problems.. sooo people still play that one now!
I just retired my pre-owned PS3 last month (paid $100). I have played all the games I wanted to play and this month, I bought a pre-owned PS4 from someone in my city for $150 USD. Couldn’t be more happier. Not only I save tons of cash, but also my local public library offers free PS3, PS4, and PS5 games to borrow. I’m happy, my wallet is happy, that’s all matters.

I still have my backward compatible fat PS3. It ain't new, but it plays basically everything. Swapped out the 80GB HDD for a 1TB SSD. A lot of really great games are really cheap now, and it plays PS1 and PS2 games as an added bonus. Oh and it plays Blu-ray. Not sure what it would take to get me to part with it, but it would be a heck of a lot more than $275. The Blu-ray disc drive died on me once, but I was able to fix it by buying a broken PS3 on Ebay for $20. Harvested the drive, swapped it out and everything is all good again. I try not to use it as much as I used to, I'm terrified of getting a yellow light of death.
I found a ps3 that plays ps2 games at a game store and bought it a week ago. And doing alot of research I am now terrified of the yellow light of death. I mainly got it for ps2 games, I think the ps3 games I will play on it won't be any of the higher quality ps3 games and I won't play it any longer then 3 hours just to be on the safe side.

Ps2 is the best console the 360 was awful and had loads of issues the original xbox was better. The ps3 was ok but they had to stop the backwards compatibility on the 60gb ps3 as everyone kept buying ps2 games haha.

The 360 would of been a lot better if it had better cooling and the ring of death etc was not so common. The controller was better with it being wireless although the battery pack needed was annoying I am talking about the original 360 though as I also had an elite which I did enjoy mainly playing fable and halo. I currently have a ps4, ps5 and series x ( I prefer my series x) I enjoyed my xbox one although I missed the one x and got the ps4 pro but I did have an xbox one that I played state of decay on. The best call of duty for me was 4 the original modern warfare and mw2 they pretty much started the hype train around cod not mw3 or advanced warfare though. I did enjoy black ops though as well and currently play cold war although it's not as good as last years due to being rushed. I really enjoy console wars its why I always own both sides so I get rewards from both most that do it will agree there is nothing better than seeing them try to out do each other and giggle at the free games and better content perks etc haha.

I just recently bought an OG backwards compatible PS3. I wanted that security of being able to play physical versions of PS1, PS2, and PS3 games. It only has 80 GB, but I can pick up a HDD to store more. I wish Sony would show more love to their older game libraries. Game preservation is so important!

I bought that same bundle back in 2014 and about a year later, it took a crap on me.i still have it along with the box minus the instructions and the controller charging cord.I just won a used ps3 ultra slim 500 gig on ebay that comes with 18 games 1 controller all the cables and a charger cord. So I'm happy I finally got a replacement and hope it works better than my old one.

They are extremely expensive. Average for a new Dualshock 3 in Germany is somwhere between 120-150 Euros. If you buy it used/pre-owned it's available for 40-50 Euros with a 3 year warranty at a shop called ReBuy. Unfortunately idk if they ship to your country.
i had to get a rock candy one because the old controllers we had broke and it took a while to get them but they didnt have a charging cord or hole for it you just had to use a usb and batteries

Never had a PS3 but I remember playing it for the first time and was playing a fighting game which I don't remember but there's Superman and Sub-Zero. Wish I ever had one and buy some of my favorite games, especially GTA games.
Now is the probably the best time in many many years to buy PS3. Yes, it's official support is on it's last legs and it's old but it's games actually still holds up really well! It's still rather modern console and thanks to fans and community, it's already long time dead online games such as Warhawk, WipeOut HD Fury, Resistance, Socom, Motorstorm etc. etc. and even PlayStation Home are coming back, thanks to new private servers! And you can buy these games next to nothing! And if you *koff koff* jail *koff koff* break your PS3 which turns it to emulation/media center beast and fully backward compatible almost only sky's the limit what you can do with it! Future of PS3 is very bright.

Now that the PS5 is out, and stores are purging inventory of older stuff, it's getting tough to find PS3 games. Not a single store in my town has any, even Gamestop completely removed all PS3 and Xbox 360 games.

Nice find POG! I managed to buy the same PS3 slim but in ice white when they got sold off in the uk for £99 @ Argos a few years back! Kept it sealed. The design is still nice to this day though not a fan of the disc tray, I think they went cheap on the mechanics!
It is January 20th 2022 and I have not owned a Sony PlayStation System since the PlayStation 2 The PS2 came out in 2002 I bought My PS2 in the Spring of April of 2004 it's has been 14 years the last time I've owned a PlayStation. It's crazy the PlayStation 4 has been out for a long time now and I've been looking everywhere for a System. I finally found a brand new one at My Target store last week for $298 dollars. I asked the Target employee have U guys been selling the PS4 regularly 🤔 he said absolutely not. He told Me in the last 11 months to a year that his Target store has only had 5 units including the one I bought. SMH the PS5 are super hard to get ,now the PS4 are all most has hard as well unless U want a used PS4 then there not that hard to find .but yeah it took Me all most 3 to 4 months to track down and find a brand new Playstation 4 if U have a PS4 guys My advice is keep it don't sale it. One last thing there's a guy on CZcams that posted a story on selling his PS4 and he was showing over a course of two weeks trying to find a new PS4 he thought a PlayStation 5 would've been in his hands all ready nope. If you are going to buy a PS3 in 2021. That ps3 console is the exact console you want to avoid. The PS3 Super Slim can't be jailbroken or anything good. The only reason why people still have a PS3 including me is to get all the games + all DLC for free. Including ps1 & ps2 PS3 PSP games & retro games And online gaming mods & more. But if you have no interest in the PS3 exclusive games. There's no need for PS3. Obviously it's a no-brainer if going to buy a old console get a Xbox 360 third-party Games Run & look better. with best online network. And free OG Xbox backwards compatibility. And all of your game collection will work on all new Xboxes Enhanced in 4k better FPS like new games. Can still use the old discs

@@Saiko1516 well, i mean in my country the game is pretty cheap i don't know how it is in other countries but i mean i still enjoy it though i must say its been years since it had it't last big update and you don't get all the new stuff that has been added over the last years but it's free online and it still works but i must say it's infested with modders and hackers in nearly every session and plenty of times they have stolen my weapons taken all my weapons or reset my rank to 1 even with megative rp so u gotta be careful not to mess with them too much but i mean the story mode is nearly the same as the newer version though with worse graphics. I think it depends on you and i don't know if i can make the decsicion for ypu wether or not it's worth it but i mean i would say yes there are still more than enough players today and kt still works ot still can be fun so i think it's worth it but it comes down to what you think of it.

I play my PS3 constantly and I just got a PS4. The you want annoying thing is that it doesn’t have as many apps as ps4, and Hulu app is rediculously bad
The PS5 does play PS4 games so if you want the best set up just have a “Fat PS3” with a “PS5” and bam all 5 PlayStation Consoles in 2!

Then they take out all ps2 compatibility of All PS3 FAT - SIim, SuperSlim. I have a FAT PS3 CECHL01, doesnt have backwards compatibility.

They are extremely expensive. Average for a new Dualshock 3 in Germany is somwhere between 120-150 Euros. If you buy it used/pre-owned it's available for 40-50 Euros with a 3 year warranty at a shop called ReBuy. Unfortunately idk if they ship to your country.
i had to get a rock candy one because the old controllers we had broke and it took a while to get them but they didnt have a charging cord or hole for it you just had to use a usb and batteries
I got ps3 slim and 3 controllers with 70 euro.
The console was crazy cheap. A brand new PS3 cost thousands of dollars, and this one was sold for less than the original price. I have been trying to get one before mine gives up, I'm so jealous.

Never had a PS3 but I remember playing it for the first time and was playing a fighting game which I don't remember but there's Superman and Sub-Zero. Wish I ever had one and buy some of my favorite games, especially GTA games.

Now is the probably the best time in many many years to buy PS3. Yes, it's official support is on it's last legs and it's old but it's games actually still holds up really well! It's still rather modern console and thanks to fans and community, it's already long time dead online games such as Warhawk, WipeOut HD Fury, Resistance, Socom, Motorstorm etc. etc. and even PlayStation Home are coming back, thanks to new private servers! And you can buy these games next to nothing! And if you *koff koff* jail *koff koff* break your PS3 which turns it to emulation/media center beast and fully backward compatible almost only sky's the limit what you can do with it! Future of PS3 is very bright.

Nice find POG! I managed to buy the same PS3 slim but in ice white when they got sold off in the uk for £99 @ Argos a few years back! Kept it sealed. The design is still nice to this day though not a fan of the disc tray, I think they went cheap on the mechanics!

It is January 20th 2022 and I have not owned a Sony PlayStation System since the PlayStation 2 The PS2 came out in 2002 I bought My PS2 in the Spring of April of 2004 it's has been 14 years the last time I've owned a PlayStation. It's crazy the PlayStation 4 has been out for a long time now and I've been looking everywhere for a System. I finally found a brand new one at My Target store last week for $298 dollars. I asked the Target employee have U guys been selling the PS4 regularly 🤔 he said absolutely not. He told Me in the last 11 months to a year that his Target store has only had 5 units including the one I bought. SMH the PS5 are super hard to get ,now the PS4 are all most has hard as well unless U want a used PS4 then there not that hard to find .but yeah it took Me all most 3 to 4 months to track down and find a brand new Playstation 4 if U have a PS4 guys My advice is keep it don't sale it. One last thing there's a guy on CZcams that posted a story on selling his PS4 and he was showing over a course of two weeks trying to find a new PS4 he thought a PlayStation 5 would've been in his hands all ready nope. I noticed in your video your Walmart I saw a few PlayStation 4 Lol Smh . . . . but of course this was 2021 just in 1 year things were different.

The PS3 Super Slim can't be jailbroken or anything good.
The only reason why people still have a PS3 including me is to get all the games + all DLC for free.

And online gaming mods & more.
But if you have no interest in the PS3 exclusive games.
There's no need for PS3.
Obviously it's a no-brainer if going to buy a old console get a Xbox 360 third-party Games Run & look better.
with best online network.
And free OG Xbox backwards compatibility.
And all of your game collection will work on all new Xboxes
Enhanced in 4k better FPS like new games.
