I discovered Bukowski in the past year and have read him a lot. He inspires me to keep writing because as I read his stuff it was like I was reading my own thoughts. He validates me if that's the word I'm looking for. He has effectively become my Professor, and inspiration. I highly respect and admire this man, and if I become successful in my own writing I wish to lay flowers and a bottle at his grave someday.
The word 'validate' is appropriate to use. I also have been inspired by his works (and by others) to pick up a pen, and spill my thoughts and feelings on paper. He doesn't rely on some sort of profound theology when it comes to writing, he makes it seem incredibly simple; because it is simple.

Bukowski is such a man of truth and was a true individuals as the term gets thrown around too easy now. He makes you feel good as in that someone is saying what you are subconsciously thinking and nobody has the guts to say and truly mean, Kanye West might tell you you're being lied to but he doesn't care about your pain like bukowski does, because he'd been there.

Wonderful to see Hank in this 3 part ; However, the audio is terrible, and I don't understand why there are no English sub-titles during the Euro spoken part, let alone the dead audio section... such a shame, a waste and disrespect to a departed master !
”euro spoken part” Damn some people really are like that. ”waste and disrespect” I’m very thankfull for these clips to have even survived since this is pretty much just some interview for a special programme on tv in Belgien in the 70s(70s right?). Would never call it a waste or disrespect

same here, i wanted always to be a writer but he is the reason i write honest and not what i think its honest but what i know.
Id like to read your writing

Reading this as the video plays in tandem makes what he said hit 1000x deeper

what is a " wayne kest " ?
@PURPORALOST bedankt voor de upload, ik heb er erg van genoten.
Borat is conducting the interview.
YOU HAVE A NICE WIIIFE
It's all good when the drinks keep coming : )
there is no audio after 4:52
Back again after 7:03... and nothing after 7:22
Maybe somebody didn't like what he was saying about M. Lowry writing and about bad and good writing. It looks to me premeditated (cutting audio off).

There is no sound after 4:50. Does anyone have a link to the rest of the interview with sound?
Thought it was only me with a connection problem lol
Can't find it anywhere all the links are expired or removed
I think these are parts of what are called The Bukowski Tapes, if that helps.

I have a crazy idea of having a biopic about aging Bukowski with Mickey Rourke playing him
I wish there was more audio, man :(
There is, the missing part is on youtube.

I will do phd on this man. Don't try was his best word according to me
I will support you in this carry on
Is there another version of this somewhere that doesn't have the missing audio part

It's nice being alone , but everything else, gets old.
What’s the song at 3:38? I could swear it’s Tom Waits sound but I don’t know the Song!
It's Shore Leave if you still care.
Reminds me of Black Books theme
The American suicide is a president who trips and a girlfriend who helps set the trap. Why would any politician fear a citizen holding the cheese?
so where is 2/2?
"Maar als je saaie rotzooi schrijft, maakt 't niet uit waaraan je sterft." Geweldig!
