- Today we are going to be taking a look at Diablo III for the Switch! My Diablo 3 review should be up later this week, but in this video we preview the game and the gameplay and see how it runs on the Nintendo Switch.

3rd time for me... PS3 PS4 and now Switch....
Xbox 360, physical twice on ps4, downloaded on ps4, once on Xbox one S, and now on switch. Changed to a one S because of the reduced power consumption. I'm a trucker. Diablo number 6, it's a good game before sleep.

Lens Hunter With unlimited data it’s not so bad. My company limits idling within certain temperature ranges so the switch and the one s are optimal.

Hey RGT 85, playing through Story Mode is fun, but the real fun opens after you complete it, and open up "Adventure Mode". Then you can start doing Challenge Rifts, and upgrading your loot to Epic sets, etc. Game is extremely addictive. This will be my 3rd time buying it. I have it for PC/PS4/XB1 for playing with various friends. It's that fun man.
Is there split screen and/or online co-op available on the switch version?
Even when this game launched on PC, it wasn't that much of a thing in the graphics department.
This is a must have for me

Diablo on Switch is such a big deal for a Nintendo fan. NEVER would have thought I'd see this day.
I got Switch for Skyrim but Zelda and Mario sealed the deal. Diablo also is a no brainer, as it’s been updated greatly since it was first released. The end game is quite satisfying indeed.

And for those saying "...it looks like this" or "it looks like that..."...it looks like it's running just fine on a system punching WELL above it's weight, much smaller than the competition and portable...
If the excuse is that the system is portable and smaller, then it shouldn't be releasing games like these.
Now if the system is smaller and portable as you say, and the game looks just like the Xbox or PC version, then you can say that it is fine and good looking for its size and portability. Meanwhile, its fucking garbage.

You know damn well what I said is true. Nintendo is king for its hardware? How? For making it portable? Please, they make garbage, period. The Switch has been the least selling console of all time. It took Nintendo 3 years to overtake the Xbox in sales, and now its king because of that? Please, you're fucking pathetic. The only reason why it even gained the second spot was because of the new beast Xbox is about to bring out, and don't get me started on the Play station line up. It's been the best selling console hands down. Nintendo only sells a lot because it makes games for kids and 40 year old virgins who still live in their mom's basement. When the PS5 and the Series X get released, they're going to leave Nintendo again in the dust, I guarantee that.

it's the reason I got a switch. Now its finally here I have to say I've enjoyed a lot of great games as well. Of Course games like BOTW and Mario Odyssey helped my decision.
Since March when I bought it ive enjoyed games like Octopath, Ransom Kings, Steam World Dig 1 and 2, Mario Cart and quite a few other games. But as a long time Diablo fan this was the main game I have been waiting for.
@P RI disagree hardcore pc gamers that play every season and don't own a console see a portable Diablo 3 option they will jump on. I did. That saying, Im, an older gamer that been a fan of Nintendo since the NES but after the SNES I moved to Pc Games. You will find more of us PC gamers would rather have a good Rig than a bunch of Consles but a Portable option appeals to us.
RGT, Its going to look like a PS3 game because it came out in 2012. Also its very artisticly styled. So its look is intentional. Like a painting. It doesnt look that much better from PC.

Yeah I know what some gamers will say " but this game is a retread and a port" - to that statement what I'm going to do is open up my wallet pull out my debit card and complete my Diablo 3 transaction. Thank God for portable Diablo.
Switch version could be the best console version. Nothing close to it has ever been released before for handhelds. Sleep/wake feature is also awesome for Diablo, even more than for most other Switch games. Local multiplay in tabletop plus full netplay is unique as well. Only things I’m concered about are the resolution in handheld, possible frame issues and battery life.

If you have not played Diablo 3 at all and this will be your first time playing it on the Nintendo switch it's a great addicting grinding game
It’s my 3rd buy and I just got it on switch today and am super stoked. Graphically it is muddier than ps4 pro version and on par with my pc from 6 years ago...not digging that but everything else is fantastic
The file size of the game is amazing. The original on the PS3 was 50gb iirc. That is excluding the expansion. On switch it is about 16gb according to the eshop!
Out of all the character builds to show off you chose the one that was made that way and have completely convinced me to pass this game
Blizzard is prolly my favorite game company. the game is fun and unique just like overwatch and wow.
I'm excited for the chance to replay this game with all the new content. I had only played the vanilla PC version when it came out, and this actually looks like a whole new experience.

I've played it on PC and PS4 before, to the point it so fun to play that I wanted to play it on the go via PS4 remote play, but unfortunately that requires a stable internet connection all the time, which can be challenging at times, eventually I just gave up. Now that it coming to Switch I can finally triple dip into this, and try out the Necromancer class I didn't have the chance to get my hands on,looking forward to the release~
Had my fill of the PC version. So I'll be passing on this one. I'd imagine it's a good game to have on the go though.
To those on the fence: As a longtime Diablo 3 player (1000+ hours on PC), I can tell you all that it’s worth it. I’m actually buying a Switch and D3 just for a fresh experience with a new player base. Regardless of how it may look on the Switch, it’s a rock solid 1080p/60fps while docked and 720p/~60fps handheld. A true PC ARPG that has come a LONG way (can’t stress this enough) since its launch in 2012. Worth $60 to me but I can understand those who say it’s worth less since it came out 6 years ago. Hope you guys give it a shot. It’s worth it. Side note: As a long time Diablo 2: LOD player, I hated Diablo 3 when it launched but Blizzard overhauled the game in MANY ways (end game content and replay value, quality of life improvements, much improved loot system, better sense of community, and many more things) and I can honestly say it’s a very respectable game with great replay value especially if played online or with friends. Okay I’m done haha.

@@TonyJenn It is fun. I like the progression, getting extra attacks and things as you level up. Then there is the happiness of getting better gear as you progress.
There could be a playable demo coming so you may get to try it out.

What’s up brother. I want you to know I just picked up NHL 94, NHLPA 93, and Cal Ripken Jr on the Genesis for $3.49 each at the local Goodwill and I was totally thinking of you. You reminded me that there used to be awesome sports video games back in the day, especially with NHL 94. Today’s games, while cool and very intricate, they just can’t compete (in my opinion) with games of yore!! Your channel rocks man!! You rule!!

I'm looking forward to it - I've a huge Diablo fan(into the lore ect.) I think it's nice to bring it portable....It's not the graphics - Diablo is ALL about atmosphere....and it's there, the gameplay is there, everything right in your pocket....D3 can and will be a drug :P

Yup. You can play whole thing single player. Of course more people is always fun but single is still fun
Yes! Its fun as a single player game as well. In fact Diablo II online pvp play was so hacked i never played the online version. Although I campaigned with friend online. I still have awesome memories of playing that game. I'm to tally excited for thus game.

It’s perfectly fine in single player, but multiplayer offers all kinds of extra benefits.
d2 was much better. but if u like casual gameplay, you will love d3.

The first thing you notice upon walking into RGT HQ is a handful of halftime eaten (un-sliced) pizza boxes.

He's playing story he might not know there's an adventure mode. Also, Blizzard has said Adventure mode is opened at the beginning. Come on is it Friday YET!!!!!!

The frame rate on the switch 60 fps just like PC graphics wise the PC might look a little bit better but overall it's the same

@P R how am I biased??? Diablo 3 is not the greatest looking game to begin with it's more of frame rate and how it runs and that part of the game looks fine and with the switch its portable in dock its 960 and handheld its 720

Really cool let's play RGT 85. Diablo 3 on the Switch is looking like alot of fun and a really good game for the system too have and another very good 3rd party game too pick up.
This feels have assed. I think you have to play the game more. I am not asking for a comprehensive review but your clearly in very early stages of the game and you clearly don't know much about it. Games like this you should avoid or give yourself a little more time before putting out content.
I’ve played a shitload of diablo 3 on ps4 but pretty often i get heavy framedrops even on the ps4, so how do you think the switch will hold up against higher levels?

It's games like this that play like they were made for hand held. S.I.M. City type games should run just as well. I expect Diablo III to sell very well for the Switch.

DOA. It's USD$59 for a game from 2012. Why do companies feel they can rip off Switch owners so much? Skyrim was the same. It was $5 on PC and $79 on Switch.

DISCLAIMER: Love your videos, but this one seems rushed to be on the forefront of the release of D3 on Switch.
It's not a "Hack and Slash".... it's an Action RPG. Also, considering it's not a game that you're too familiar with, (guessing you haven't really played it on other platforms based on your comments of lack of time investment) I don't think that you stand at the liberty to say how it "performs" so to speak; especially considering it's a port and there is source material to compare it to, such as your reference to DOOM.
I think you would've been better off making this a "First Impressions" video as a newcomer to the Diablo Series more so than an overview of the performance of the game.

Played this on PC, 360, & ported my 360 toon to xb1. I will only buy this if it's on sale for 20 or less. It's a great game if your playing this for the first time but unless you r playing with friends in voice chat, randoms are bleh. Love this game but seriously, WHERES DIABLO 4?????

It’s a good game. I find myself laughing when I play which is nice. Unless you need it on the go I think it looks and plays better on PS4 for half the price. (There are lots of different pairs of pants to collect in the game lol- tons of barfing too🤮 )

Love you RGT but this was brutal. I’ll like it just to lend my support but... nobody really needs first impressions of the game… We need to know how it runs in handheld. Is the screen too small to see crap? You’re playing this game like you just discover Diablo. That’s a little weird.
It looks way too easy. Does it have a challenging difficulty? I want to play it but for me there is no fun if it is super easy.
It has 5 different difficulty modes. He's playing on normal. There are 4 more tiers.

Diablo 1 and 2 would sell very well on the switch
For a ps3 game the last of us came out in 2013 and it looks way better than sea of theives which camed out in 2018
I have been playing this game on PC since launch, and have several videos for it on my channel. f you really compare the graphcs between the two, wfromw hat I can tell there isn't a whole lot of difference. ind you my eyes are crap, but from what I can tell they are very comparable to one another. I pre-ordered this, and wish Iplay it now, but that's ok, I have the PC versto hold me over RGT, you should try playing Demon Hunter, Crusader, and Necromancer, as these are my favorite classes. hit me up if you want to do some multi-player when it comes out Friday.
Please, ignore my bad typing, as I deal with some input latency due to a lag created by my adaptive software I use for my vision impairment. Anyway, Happy Demon slaing, and I hope to hook up with some folks when this launches. I plan to play seasonal hardcore.
