Whenever I think of City Pop my mind instantly goes to this song and anything from Sugiyama Kiyotaka & Omega Tribe ,My personal favourite Band.

Jun Aoyama's drums, Taeko Onuki's outro chorus and Susumu Sudohara's horn section.
It's a superb, miraculous vintage sound.
Within a few days you will also be possessed by the sound of Tatsuro's SPARKLE.
Having originally heard this without any idea what the lyrics meant (except the parts in English), I find the subtitles distracting and decided to ignore them.
That said, this English cover version's lyrics flow better with the song (IMO). I'm not sure how well they capture the spirit of the original Japanese lyrics but, perhaps, someone who speaks Japanese can weigh in: czcams.com/video/vunm-W-ovLc/video.html

You guys need to listen to Remember Summer Days by Anri, actually the whole album its called "Timely!" and is such a good gem if you wanna continue with the city pop songs, even tho there are so many good artists
