Hey Melissa … loved your videos travelling up to cape York . Me and my wife have just bought the same mdc xt10e caravan and also have a Ldv t60 . Can I just ask you a few questions that I have about the towing of the van please ? As this is our first caravan 1. How did you find towing without the need for extended side mirrors was it ok ? 2. How was the turning angle was it good or do you think a longer tow hitch is needed for the ldv ? Thanks and well done 👍🏻
Hi David, lovely to hear from you and I'm really happy that you enjoyed the videos and have the same set up! The XT10E is a legend of a caravan, and so easy to tow that I personally found no need for side mirrors. The van just sat in snug behind the ute and the only real evidence it was there was when I looked in the rearview mirror! Re the turning angle, if you did anything too dramatic the caravan would react because it is shorter, but if you're aware of that, that won't happen. I got the caravan into all kinds of tight spots in caravans. My advice is turn up to wherever you are staying mid afternoon at the latest so there is plenty of room and time for you to manouvre the van wherever you want it to go. I am no pro at all at towing or reversing, but even I managed it easily. Would love to hear more about your adventures when you're on the road!

Once upon a time I would have thought it was terrible... now I look forward to my solo adventures!
