- It is easy to overlook the common and cheap items on thrift store shelves; however, with a little DIY magic, you can turn these items into beautiful home decor. In this video, I’ll be transforming ordinary thrift finds such as a used cutting board, wooden bowl, metal stand, metal planter, jewelry box, broken resin orb, patriotic resin sheep, metal and wood butterflies, a small lamp, a small bird cage, a cheap metal platter, a plastic picture frame, a wood picture frame, and faux flowers in acrylic “water” that has turned yellow. The results are extraordinary!

Very naive of me, but was enchanted by mossy sheep. All lovely, but sheep stole my heart.
Sherry, you batted 1000 on this week’s projects! I say leave the mirrors in the jewelry box as it gives it depth. And how are we supposed to pick a favorite?! My goodness, they are all excellent and exceptionally inspiring. You will have to work super hard this week to top this collection.
Oh, Donna, you are so sweet! I now agree about the mirrors. I liked much more after I saw the faux plants inside.
Definitely leave the mirrors in the jewelry box. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😊
The Franken planter looks like a wine bottle holder.
The broken lamp base and orb that you glued together is Phenomenal!
Oh, thank you, Krickette! 😊
That was my favorite too but I didn't remember what she started with!!
I loved everything, but that little sheep that you covered with moss and then added the little bird at the top really made me smile!
LOVED the vintaged, mirrored terrarium! And I think the mirrors show off the floral insert better. Great video as always - couldn’t wait for it to be posted and wasn’t disappointed!!
Thank you! 😊 I did like the mirrors once I added the faux plants.
My favorite was the gold frame you painted blue then added napkin & press- on’s.
Cutting boards and bowls ! What a great look👏👏👏
Love the Frankenplanter! Looks like a wine holder to me also.
Breaking the glass what a stress relief!
Hello! I did post today’s DIY projects to my online store, but I haven’t had much time to add any new vintage decor. Hopefully, I will get those added soon. Hope your week is off to a great start!
Your flower pot base originally is a kitchen counter piece that serves as either and or wine bottle holder / recipe book holder.... I have one similar, however it is bot the exact one. Mine was originally from a store we once had here called, Gardeners Village.
@@DoctorSuezzThank you! I see now that it would make a great cookbook stand!
The sheep makeover was brilliant! I also loved the cutting board/bowl idea. You are beyond clever! Thanks for the ideas, Sherrie,
Your knack for combining random items just amazes me, and it is so fun to watch. I loved them all. I wonder if the "frankenplanter" base could be a small wine rack?
Thank you! Other viewers have mentioned a wine rack, too. I would never have guessed!
I totally agree! You are so very creative and love all the great inspiration!
I thought it was a wine rack, as well. 😊
I thought wine rack too, but thought was missing something from the middle and kept thinking magazine or newspaper rack.
@@spbrown04 It is just a weird little stand.
Sherry it's impossible to select a favorite when I LOVE THEM ALL! But the antique jewelry box was GENIUS! Love you and your channel! TYFS! ❤🥰🤩😍👍🏼
The "Frankenplanter" is beautiful! Love all the projects, so kind of hard to choose just one.
Your imagination with these thrift flips always amaze me. The cutting boards & orb were my favorites. Thank you Ms. Sherry for sharing you brilliant ideas with us.
Mine too! The dark cutting board/bowl was stunning.
😂 that bird nest on top of the 🐑 sheep was happily unexpected!!!
Omg... I had what I call a "duh" moment when you broke the glass base away from the flowers in a plastic bag. I have beautiful tulips I can now rescue from that horrible yellowed acrylic water! Thanks, Sherry!!
🌷 🌷 🌷
I was going to pick my favorite as you went along, so I thought nothing would be better than the jewelry box terrarium, then you did the picture frame on the silver tray, and then you did the bird frame with the WM tissue, and on and on. Your ideas and ability to put different things together just amazes me, Sheri. I think I will go back to my original way to pick a favorite…I’ll just watch the video twice. Thanks for sharing this wonderful video! Enjoyed!
More fabulous project !!! I think the cutting boards with the half bowls, the decorative orb and the tray & oval frame combo were my favourites. ❤
Two thumbs up on this video! ~Kathy
All projects are so pretty! I love to watch you transform cast offs into something truly amazing! ❤
I love the cutting board/ bowl creation! If you made more you could sell more- I certainly want to buy one.
I liked the cutting board/bowl combo! Very appropriate for several decor styles!
Thank you, Jane! I was so glad the cutting boards turned out the way I imagined. I wasn’t sure I could cut that bowl straight!😜
@@CanterburyCottage I was nervous watching you cut that bowl down. I had a spindle pop out of my hand , I didnt get hurt but it scared me off for awhile😊
So creative! The rose planter was a wine rack :)
Your constant creativity is always such a treat to watch. It's so inspiring using cheap, unremarkable, everyday items and creating something totally different and very upscaled!! BEAUTIFUL as usual. And ...as usual, it's very difficult to pick a favourite!
ALL of the projects are AMAZING, but I LOVE what you did with the jewelry box!! Please leave the mirrors IN; it adds a dimension that you couldn't get without them! ❤❤❤ I really like the cutting boards/bowls, too! And your bird lamp is precious!!
Oh, thank you, so much! I definitely liked the mirrors better once I added the plant.
I loved both the tissue paper art and the decorative orb. They tied for my favorite. All of your pieces are so beautiful but some of them really appeal to my senses.
I just love how you take some really off the wall items and create so much beauty!
Okay! As usual, I loved all of your flips today. However, my favorite was the wooden bowl and cutting board flip. 💕
Thank you, Elizabeth! I really liked the cutting board project, too. I wasn’t sure if it was going to look the way I imagined, but I’m keeping the sanded one.
I think the first thrift flip was my favorite. The little lamp was adorable.🪺🐦🩷
Wow! I truly enjoy seeing your creativity each week! I’m not quite sure how you do it but it never ceases to amaze me. I think my favorite had to be the orb thing you made! It was incredible. I don’t know how you think of putting these random pieces together but it’s fantastic 😊
Oh, thank you so much! I really think that it helps that I can see many of my supplies and thrift store finds in my craft room. Seeing things helps me come up with ideas.
Oh, Sherry! I wish I could wander around in your brain! You are SO CREATIVE ❤❤❤
Oh thank you!
I have to say, the sheep was my favorite!
You certainly do your part to protect the environment. Beautiful recycling!
I love the jewelry box up cycle. Absolutely gorgeous. Loved them all but it’s my favorite. Thanks for sharing
I agree! Such a beauty!
The birdcage lamp was the cutest thing ever
Ok, jewelry box is waaay prettier painted. Like that project a lot. But that fluffy sheep, takes the cake!!! OMG, ADORABLE! 😂 I want my own 🐑 💚💚💚
I think your wood bowl and cutting board project is brilliant!! I also loved the lamp finial project. Thank you so much for the video 😊
The sheep was my favorite! Adorable! Thanks for sharing your creativity with us. ❤
The picture with a bird is beautiful. Everything was so nice. The one rose piece looks like it might have been a wine rack. Thank you...
You’ve gotta be kidding to ask me to choose my favorite. They are all so amazing that there is no way I could choose.
Sherry, I recently purchased 2 small wooden bowls at a garage sale for $1.00. I asked myself, "how would Sherry repurpose these?" Well after seeing today's video, I know how I will reuse them. Beautiful items that inspire me as always. Thank you..
The Sheep!!! Adorable, Sherry!
My favorite is your medal stand with the pretty flowers and butterflies! Genius
I have to say I LOVED every single one of your projects!! Incredibly creative and beautiful!!
Again Sherry the way your brain works to think outside the box and mix together items to make something beautiful just boggles my mind, these projects were amazing. I loved the jewelry box terrarium and the piece you made out of the finial, loved the color that turned out to be, I would sure purchase that at a thrift store if I saw it.
Loved the fluffy sheep with the red bird and his little nest! Was sad to see that he was snapped up. Will have to keep my eyes open to make my own. My 91 year old aunt died earlier this month, sharp and interested in life till the end, and she was very crafty and loved to watch her son drag race on You Tube. Typing that made me smile. Watching made me a little tearful (in a good way) thinking of her and her pleasure in being creative.
The Jewelry Box and the Sheep...AWESOME!
The jewelry box turned planter was my favorite! I see those jewelry boxes occasionally so next time I will definitely buy it. The mossy sheep was ingenious and hilarious 😂
The bird transfer with the William Morris tissue paper, love!
I love how your mind works. You see things most cant even imagine. I look forward to your videos every week.❤
My favorite was the terrarium. I loved the combination of woodsy and "victorian"!
I love the butterflies, and the mossy sheep! So cute lol!
Wow, so many gorgeous combinations you have created. Hard to pick one favourite, love them all! TFS
I loved the cutting board with 1/2 bowls and the 3 piece orb. I'm always looking forward to Tuesday now so I can watch your beautiful work. I often see some thing around my house and think, what would Sherry do with this. Thanks again for sharing your talents with us.
Can't pick a favorite today! I thought on the one project.... "Sherry, remove the mirrors", but after the greenery.... don't listen to me 😂😂😂
I absolutely love the terrarium & will go thrifting to get that same effect as it would look so good in my guest room... if I'm able to get it out of my own bedroom. lol.
Thank you, Monique! Hope you find exactly what you are looking for!
Oh wow. That decorative orb is absolutely my favorite of all. I LOVE it!!
The idea to combine a ❤wood bowl with a cutting board ❤looks like you bought it that way! Even though I love that 1 the spindle you made out of 3 different pieces looks so 💰expensive 💰💖 AWESOMENESS!!!
I just love your remakes. Their so original and fun. I could watch you all day. Now I have to wait all week for another Sherry cool video! Thank you Sherry we love you!
My favorite was the simplest...the silver pitcher with rises. But I loved them all!
The jewelry box transformation was one of my favorites and leaving the mirrors in, makes it look more illuminating with the light bouncing off of the mirrors.
Thank you, Violet! I did like the mirrors after I added the faux plants.
I am so glad you included the faux flowers inserted in acrylic in a vase and what you do to salvage the flowers. I have seen so many of these with beautiful flowers but in yellowed acrylic and, for some reason, never thought of breaking the vase. I will be saving these flowers for use in the future. Thanks for the great ideas.
I liked the birdcage lamp, the stand and planter with the added red flower best. Thank you always for sharing your skills and imagination!
The jewelry box topiary and the cutting board/bowl combo, were my favorites!
I’m glad you left the mirrors in the jewelry box. That is my favorite project today.
Thank you, Julia! I definitely liked the mirrors more after I added in the faux plants.
There is no picking a favorite today! They were all too good!
My favorite is the wooden bowls sliced in half on cutting boards😊
I have also passed by many beautiful faux flowers because they were in yellowed fake water! No more....thank you for the great ideas!
I’m so glad that I could share this idea. Some of these flowers are very high quality.
My favorite was “freeing” the flowers & placing some in the silver pitcher with the rub on transfers. I hadn’t thought about using the transfers on silver!
WOW!!!!!
Everything was amazing. I thought the tray and frame were beautiful and the cutting board and the jewelry box and the orb and sheep and......
I like the mirrors left in the jewelry box project. It brings light into the box!
Thank you for inviting me into your home. Your videos are amazing what you can create and redo is wonderful you have a great gift. Thanks for sharing.
My favorite is the nightlight lamp! The cutting board and bowl makeovers look like original artisan pieces. Great inspirations!
Oh, thank you so much, Connie! 😊
Sherry, my favorite flips were the bird cage and the cutting boards.
I can’t choose a favorite. Everything you’ve created is beautiful! You amaze me each week.
Well…my fave was the terrarium, then all of the pics, then the breadboard. I give up, I can’t pick a favorite, I love them all ❤️
Oh, thank you, Sharen!
The butterfly boxes are So unique and cute 😂
They are all so beautiful. I especially liked the jewelry box makeover, the metal tray with oval frame, the frame with the bird on the glass and tissue paper in the back, and the cutting boards. What unique ideas.
Thank you so much, Suz! I was crossing my fingers during the cutting board project! I wasn’t sure I could cut the bowl straight.
Love them all ( no surprise there ) but I really adore the old jewelry box redo and breadboard, wood bowl creation.
Those cutting boards with the bowl halves attached are really, really cool!
The cutting boards were very plain, simple but a smashing idea!!!!!! They look amazing!!!
Oh, thank you! I was so pleased that they turned out the way I had imagined. I kept the raw wood one.
I liked the half bowls and the cutting boards the most.
My favorite was the sheep! I had no idea where you were going with that at first. It turned out so cute!
I enjoy your videos so much! Now I have new ideas for creative projects.
ALL of your upcycle projects are so gorgeous and I can't pick a favorite. I always enjoy your videos and learn much each time I view one. You have so much talent!!!
You have a real eye for combining random items
I liked your picture with the bird and the sheep was absolutely a great surprise.❤
Everything looked great but I must say, if I may, the butterflys needed their antennae's.. LOVED the wooden bowl and cuttin board idea, wow!
Thank you, Jeannie! The butterflies didn’t come with antenna, and I didn’t think of it. 🤪 Next time, I will add some wire ones!
I liked all of your projects but I really loved the lamp and the terrarium. Keep these great videos coming!
Thank you, Vickie! I really appreciate that you always leave me a comment! It shows CZcams that you like the video, so they are more likely to show it to other viewers! 😊 BTW The lamp was my favorite project this week, too!
Your outfit matches your room perfectly!! LOL
Glad you kept the mirrors in the terrarium 👍
Chicken dinner, chicken dinner, these are all a winner!! I really love how the terrarium turned out. Now I'm going to be on the lookout for one.😊
Thank you, Kay! I’m sure you will find a jewelry box in time. I see them rather frequently!
I loved the sheep and the bird house lamp .
Your terrarium jewelry box is absolutely gorgeous!!!! I love love love it!!!
The sheep by far was my favorite. It is so cute!
I loved the black metal carrier with the planter and plants.
My favorite was the terrarium. Loved! Loved them all, but I’m on the hunt for an old jewelry box.
I can't choose!! They are allllllllllllllllllllllllllll so very amazing and gorgeous!!!!!!!!!! I loved everything you did and once again, you thought of things that no one else ever would have! You rock!!!!!
The cutting boards and bowls is genius!!!
The fluffy sheep was my favorite!
I liked your jewelry box terrarium probably the most, but your ideas, all blow my mind. Love them all❣️
I love the picture frame on a tray. Also loved your combo finial. WOW!
Oh, I’m so glad! Thank you, Cass!
Once again a home run on these amazing creations. The jewelry box mirror , I think adds a lot of light to the attrarium, so I'm for keeping it.
My favorite was the wooden bowl and cutting board project!
